Thank you so much for all your no-upgrade videos! I enjoy really learning these fights and taking it slow, and your videos are the best for what I'm looking for.
Hi, this was amazing. I have a question, how do you consistently dodge the laser projectiles attack that comes from above? I’m trying to do a similar run but I can’t figure out how to dodge it, sometimes I just run and it doesn’t hit me, other times it instantly lands on me and kills me
Was this the hardest boss in your run? I'm currently on a RL1 no wep/sum upgrades and finally got to Radagon about a week ago. I have 580 hours on my character and for a few months I was stuck on Maliketh. Glad to finally be at the end mainly to see how DLC will play out if I can continue, otherwise this char will probably become my main and I might level it. It's been a hell of a journey.
Now do original patch Elden Beast 😈 I'm definitely curious how this fight will shake out when I get to it in my RL1 run, but maybe the boss will get patched even further by that point since I'm going pretty slowly (just beat Godskin Apostle of Caelid, I loved that fight).
I honestly could not say. I slowly improved at the Radagon fight over the course of several months. My extremely rough estimate is 20+ hours of Radagon fighting before I felt like I was fully comfortable with the moveset in both phases. That being said, I am still not a master of the fight; with better strafes he can be fought much more aggressively than I show. For Elden Beast it way easier to learn most of the moves, but the three different needle attacks and elden stars took a long time to figure out. I would definitely say Radagon is a fair boss. His phase 2 is one of the hardest fights in the game for me, but I cannot say there are any unfair attack sequences that are undodgeable. I do not currently think Elden Beast is a fair boss. After fighting it many times, there are some combinations of attacks after elden stars that I was not able to survive, nor did I see any way I could have survived, such as elden stars into flying needles. I also could not survive if Elden Beast swam far away and then cast elden stars. The only option in this situation was to memory of grace and restart the entire Radabeast fight. I am hoping that this is simply a skill issue, but as it stands I do not consider Elden Beast to be a fair fight.
Elden Stars and the potential follow ups are the trickiest part of the beast fight for sure. I use the method at 9:34 every single time to avoid the attack. Can also try Crimsonwhorl Bubbletear in the physick and/or stacking holy resist so that you can face tank the stars. Obviously not as effective at level 1, but that is what I did for a long time to deal with the attack. You got this
Elden Beast not long, but Radagon took a very long time to learn everything. I slowly improved at the fight over the course of many months, so it is hard to say for sure; likely 20+ hours of Radagon fighting before I was fully comfortable with every single move. That being said, I still have a lot to improve on. Radagon phase 2 is one of the hardest fights in the game imo. Take it slow with the learning. Treat every single little improvement in the fight as a win. And most important is to enjoy the learning process. You got this.
God I love radagon. Beating him level 1 was so fun
One of my favorite fights for sure!
10 minutes of surviving elden beast is incredible GG

I love the Godskin Apostle fight as well!
How long did it take to fully grasp an understanding of radagon? And do you think hes fair? Same for Elden beast

I can’t even beat it with a +10 Serpent Hunter at rl1 I keep dying to Elden Stars

Vc demorou quanto tempo pra decorar os movimentos do inimigo 🤷

Just curious, why do you crouch before the critical?
I use the crouch to animation cancel. Blocking also works, but I found that blocking ends up eating your following inputs more often than not
