  • I finally got to make music inside West Kennet long barrow. This is what we were doing in Avebury before we ended up at the open mic.
It was a busy day but we set up out of the way and then bided our time before it was empty for a couple of minutes.
    Saxophone
    into Boss RC500 looper
    into Boss DD6 delay pedal
    into Boss RV5 reverb pedal
    Roland MC101 synths/sequencer
Composed and performed by Keith Sutton and Doc
    27th April 2023

Totally gorgeous! Love the breathy pads and I’m getting some ethereal Pharaoh Sanders vibes from the sax. Simply beautiful ✨❤️✨

Did you try playing the sax into the barrow rather than into the mic?

No but we will do next time! The following week we were playing and an audience member told us about the 'Sounding stone' behind where the sax player was positioned
