Yess part 2! Would you also share some sheet masks, hand creams and lip balms you recommend from Asian brands?
Will do
Yes, please.
Can you please do a review on the VT reedle shot please? ❤
Great video! The ultimate reassurance when Dr. Liu talks about ingredients and products you already use 😂
I love K beauty, always want to learn more-would love more videos like this!
Yes part 2!! Can you do a video about Korean vitamin C products? I am having a difficult time finding the right product for my skin
I think you'll be glad to hear that the snail mucin moisturizer comes in a tube as well for easy application!
I would love a part two!
Yes, part 2 would be great! Also, as you mentioned, could you please give some details about mugwort and how it works on eczema? A topic of ingredients and products for eczema and rosacea skin would also be really helpful 🤗 Thank you for your efforts 🫰🏼
Would love a part two and reviews on products with mugwort!
Hi! I would love for you to do a deep dive into ginseng skincare that is affordable that works hysterically as good as the expensive skincare
Ooh also talk about Seabuckthorn AKA “vitamin tree” please! :)
It's not k-beauty but I've heard good things about Stratia's Lipid Gold which contains sea buckthorn. I wonder if Dr. Liu could review that product?
This video was very helpful. Thanks. Ginseng as well please for Part 2
Thanks✨🌸
The Missha Artemisia line is much better than the I’m From Mugwort line in my opinion because they use the medicinal species and they ferment it, whereas I’m From uses the culinary species. (I’ve owned both, Missha is a touch more expensive but is soooo much more soothing!)
Thank you.
This is actually good to know because I wanted to try the Artemisia line but my skin *loathes* ferments!
Hey Jenny! I'm a new subscriber that to happened to stumble across your content and I have been loving all the videos! Its very informative. I'm curious about your take on the notion of Western vs Eastern skincare for anti-aging. When it comes to reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots, do you think investing in mainstream retinol products from brands like Paula’s Choice, COSRX and Some By Mi are more effective than going for Traditional Korean Hanbang options? Specifically, I'm wondering if splurging on premium panex ginseng brands like Sulwhasoo, Donginbi and The History of Whoo justifies the higher price for better results. What's your perspective on this 🙂?
😊 Oh I loove the BOJ Green Tea+ Mugwort serum ❤ I also have a Isn'tTree Mugwort Mask that's really not that expensive but feels like a high-end product and the results are amazing! I often multi-mask with Origins Out Of Trouble Salicylic Acid+Zinc+Sulfur mask - the BHA+sulfur mask on my T zone area and the mugwort mask on cheekbones and jawline. I am curious of the I'm From line but mostly of their facial cremes such as I'm From Rice (I love rice based products!!) but also their mugwort creme.
Last but not least, Tremella 🍄
I prefer Tremella aka Snow Mushroom to hyaluronic acid any day ❤ My favorite product with Tremella is also Korean, I think, but it's worth to be mentioned anyway: the label is called Chasing Rabbits and the product is called Magic Beauty Shroom and is a really nice tremella essence. It's not very expensive either and it's inci says pretty much just Tremella Fuciformis extract.
Thank you for a great video! It was my second time watching this channel but I will surely watch a third and a forth video right now! ❤
Thanks for an informative video yet again! Have you heard of VT reedle serum? Any thoughts? And yes to part 2 as well. What about ginseng? I had heard it’s good to inflammation?
Somebody else just asked I will do my research and make a video on this
Hello, I’ve added ginseng water to my skin routine. I found it to be hydrating. I can’t say too much about effects on inflammation since I’ve been able to control inflammation & irritation when I added Centella to my routine (prior to adding ginseng). I would also like to learn more about the skin benefits of ginseng
@@dr.jennyliu thanks ahead ❤️
Rice, Green Tea, and Ginseng please!
Can you please cove Heartleaf / houttuynia cordata extract in part two please?
What about pearl extract? I really want to learn more about that one
As soon as I started to use essenses and creams and spfs from Korea, I forgot about any dryness of skin
My face gets so hydrated, my forehead look like I had Botox.
Hey Dr Liu, I have a question about “plant derived” vs “synthetic”. If, say we were to compare a molecule of Ethanol, would plant derived Ethanol behave any differently from synthetic Ethanol? Based on my knowledge of science both molecules should have the same properties right?
Can you please do a review on the Pyungkang Yul brand? I’m really curious about trying out some of their moisturizers for my very dry skin
Yes, I will add that on my list. It’s a brand I really really like as well.
I ❤ Pyungkang products too
is the dove dandruff dryness and itch relief shampoo meant to be used as a treatment, then use normal shampoo?
Can you highlight American brands and include some Asian products. I get confused about what to add with Asian products but keep a routine formatted. I have a lot of toners and serums
Do you have any experience with HOP (House of PLLA) or Hevatox?
I´d like to know about Korean retinols , vitamin c and sunscreens. May I ask your opinion about the protection from blue lights? Is it nesserary the sunscreen for this ?
If you struggle with hyperpigmentation and melasma it can be helpful
Wish Dr. Jart+ would take all those essential oils out of the cicapair products. They break me out 😒 The I'm From mugwort essence is a HG for me. It calms down my rosacea so well ❤
Good video, but the music was competing with your voice too much. I didn't get through the whole thing and looked at the description to see the products instead. It would have been great if the music was just in the background.
Part 2 gingseng please
Where can I buy it from?
What do you think about ginseng in skin product, ie. Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence? What’s the science behind it?
I really really like that one too. There’s definitely a lot of studies in Asia for the antioxidant and potential anti-aging benefits of ginseng, similar to green tea, so interesting they may help with hair loss
@@dr.jennyliu if there’s god evidence that ginseng helps with hair loss, could you also recommend hair products? Thank you! Live your videos 🫶🏻
Hi dr Jenny do you have any tips on how to fix maybe orbital ochronosis. I used a cream for way longer than I should’ve I didn’t know to take breaks from it as it always worked great and didn’t irritate me. I stopped using it because they took hydroquinone out of it and it stopped working. Within a few days I developed wrinkly upper and lower eyelids and blue purple circles around my eyes. I’m a guy thinking of getting concealer help 😭😭
Hello ! How are you please, Dr. It's my request to make a video about Dr. for hair brand, I wanna know about their folligen original shampoo and unove mask because of using chemicals treatment my hair is break at the center part due to this i lost my lengths I heard that this shampoo is good for hair falling and damaged hair .....thank you love from Pakistan ❤️
I’ve seen that haven’t tried myself, but I’ll make sure to try it then do a full review
@@dr.jennyliu thanks for your reply
you're beautiful ❤. have a nice day
I have a friend who’s suffering from hyperpigmentation but she’s also nursing right now and she wanted me to help her start a routine so I was wondering if anyone knew any good serums that’s safe to use since she’s still nursing right now? thanks
I am also nursing. And I've been using serums/treatments with vitamin c (THD and Ascorbic acid have been effective for improving my dark marks), also niacinamide, AHAs and tretinoin. I just make sure to read ingredients list for any new products since I still need to avoid alpha arbutin and resorcinol. I hope this helps
@@edo4896 okay thanks yes it did because I was looking at some vitamin c serums. I just wanted to asked around first and be sure since she ask me to help her find a routine for her.
Dr. Liu and other derms (Tea with MD, Dr. Sam Ellis) do have pregnancy videos dealing with issues like hyperpigmentation.
@@db-gb5xi okay thanks I will check those out
I’ve heard mixed things about alpha arbutin. As a glycolsylated hydroquinone, likely won’t cause problems but to be on safe side you could avoid. I’ve heard azaleic acid and glycerin based vehicle for AHAs are safe. You could add in a 2-5% niacinamide with your vitamin C. Trexanemic acid seems mostly safe, but I’d double check with a health care provider to make sure.
Ugh. I feel like I am the only human that CosRx Snail Mucin causes breakouts on. And I dont’t have sensitive skin 😩
Nice video 😊 but I'd like to correct one thing you mentioned. Centella Asiatica isn't the first Korean ingredient that also became popular among western consumers. It's actually snail. In the early 2010's, snail products were all over the forums, Reddit, blogs etc. There were many Korean brands that had huge line ups of all kinds of products with snail and we had to order these products on eBay because shops like Stylevana didn't exist yet and YesStyle was pretty small and unreliable back then. It was actually a business model among people living in Korea and Japan. They went to drugstores and beauty stores, bought products and resold them on eBay to people outside of Asia 😂
A very informative video, many thanks. I love Korean cosmetics and am happy for any educated information.
Btw, would you please ditch the background music? 😊
Please do away with the music
Plz lower the background music. It is very distracting, repetitive, and unnecessary. Your information is important and would love to be able to listen to your videos without the background distraction!
Thanks for the feedback
I didn't notice the music until reading this comment lol
I stopped & gave a thumbs down before the intro was even over. This "music" has started to trigger cringe response. I WANT to hear your messages and support your channel but I'm not going to suffer through this. What feedback do you need before you'll decide to just cut it out?
I disagree, I don't feel like the music is distracting at all it actually helps me keep focused instead of just hearing someone talking straight for 20 mins and spacing out.
I'm a French Canadian who has trouble understanding people speaking english fast and music makes it more difficult to concentrate and catch all the good information you give. Please give up the music. Thank you.
I really love your content and I watch all your videos so I don’t know why I’ve not noticed this before but that repetitive music you’ve got in the background is driving me a bit insane. I wonder if you couldn’t switch it up to something else like nice spa type music……pleeeeeeeaaase🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤❤❤
Please make a part 2
You missed Rice 🥺🥹
Plz add Rice based products which are your fvrt. ❤
