You are a trooper. I had the same exact symptoms last Sunday and it was stupid Covid. I agree with your attitude about scrap quilts. The quilt police can kick it. Feel better soon.

Hello Tiffany 😊 I’m so sorry you are not feeling well 😩 Please take care of yourself ❤ Those of us with immune systems issues know how easily we get sick
Hello from Canada. I like the idea of putting different leftover scraps together. You have a gift of knowing what to put together. Do you have a list of what you used to make the block. I hope you feel better soon.
I used left over cut offs from 2.5" pieces and those made a 2 to 2.25 inch hst then I cut 2.5" squares in half added 2 pieces to make a bigger hst. Then 1 half of a 4.5" square to create the block.
The quilted forest has a collection of free pattern ideas for 2 1/2" strips, she has used up lots of bins worth of them. She also used up lots of her charm packs? Of course other sizes work as well. Those 5 inch strips are very versatile too.
That's exactly what you should do with Vicks vapo rub. It's all about the aroma Therapy and Vicks has pure eucalyptus from Australia in it. And you can breath as much as you want with no side affects . Or just buy eucalyptus essential oils. And just inhale that. Available in any high end Drug store.
as a kid I always had strep throat, but after my open heart surgery, the strep throat stopped being very often and I found out I am allergic to some sort of mold that grown in the wetness of fall local trees. It's misery to get sick every September through February. I feel like such a big old pain in butt. sharfing and coughing and wheezing and sneezing, I once said I thought I had multiple personality dwarf syndrome.
back in the day I went to a local play at our theater in town but I was sick, so I took my Vicks inhaler stick, and during the play I started to cough so I took a big sniff and almost burned a hole in the back of my brain, I didn't know it but it had gone through the washing machine and drier and it was liquid. they almost had to stop the play , and I had to leave in one big hurry. so darn funny, I had a bright red nose for days
go to bed lady, next time sort scraps while in bed, and sneeze all you need. I am sitting home with my oldest daughter, while my youngest daughter and my grand sons are in Leavenworth Washington, enjoying a train ride through the cascade mountains to the German/Bavarian theamed whole town, My oldest can't go places, so I am so glad my younger daughters step mom is doing something fun. one Christmas I was up there and the entire town stopped and sang Christmas Carols and it was amazing, snow falling, special lights on allt he buildings. the mood circled by the light halo type thing that happens with snow. sigh, Wish I was there. but asi es la vida.
Are you ever going to publish any of your awesome quilt patterns for beginners. I would love to buy some as gifts for those that don't get live stream videos. ?
Before I begin any new project, I am cutting my scraps. Today I spent 6 hours cutting 1 1/2 Inch squares (prepping for a around the world quilt), 2 1/2 " squares, & sorted my orphan blocks into one stack. I used the Accuquilt dies to cut the squares. Tomorrow, I'll switch to larger square blocks. I also as I go along putting all the strings (less than 1 1/2 Inches) into a string container.
Well done, it has to start somewhere? Have you got fat quarters thet don't go with things? Can you get a10"strip, a 5" strip and scraps from each? Easier to make your own pre-cuts from strips? Make a scrappy set for kits? Is there something you haven't tried out, do you need baby kits, or I spy. Ready to grab and sew? Write a note and put in with, if you want it for something, does it have the background, borders, backing and binding, where's the pattern? Do you need 2 or more packs of 42? You"ll be so much happier when you get it somewhat tamed, so you can spend more time sewing and finishing your wips.
@@kathleenmayhorne3183 Yes, I'll get around to the bigger pieces. Right now, it's odd shape scrap, triangular shaped pieces & such. I got these scraps from my DIL who does garment sewing. When these are tamed, I'll shift to the larger pieces & d0 charm square size & jelly roll strips, & 10" squares.
@@TiffanysQuiltingLife I'm using the Accuquilt square dies because the fabric is not in chunks to use a Stripology ruler, but bits & pieces to be arranges on the dies. For example, the 1 1/2" die cuts 9 squares 6 layers deep. I might have at least 20 some pieces to cover the individual squares, not just hunks of fabric. No waste but shreds & tiny bits of fabric. Our waste management picks up textiles if you call them for pick to recycle them. I about have a full large JoAnn's bag for them.
weom I mean, I can't even type. I ate 6 lemons a day way back in the cave man days when I was pregnant. It drove everyone crazy, peelings, seeds, white pithy part all of it, I would rush to the store by us and get the biggest lemons and eat one on the way home, it was hideous. but I did it both pregnancies. lol. amazing what women's bodies do when we produce kids.
Scott and Tiffany I have 2 Marteli rotary cutters I would be happy to send you. They are both new. Could you send me your mailing address and I will send them.

Just curious, how many quilts do you have in your home? I’ve given gifts to all family members and still have several in the house with more to go!
I have about 40, that includes my wall hangings. But I have about 20 more that are sale quilts.
Are you ever going to sell some of your wonderful beginners quilts. I would love to buy some to take back to Canada with me for friends.
I put Vic’s in my arm pits when I go to bed. It helps me breathe better. Hope you feel better soon Tiffany.
