Yeah, Marwan is really creative and brilliant at the same time in his arrangements. By the way, have you done Tomi's "Lullaby of Woe" yet? Speaking of Floor, I am tempted to post a request or two for songs of her. 😀
@@martindinner3621 with the context of Mortius' channel in mind the first that came to mind was her version of "Let It Go" or the Phantom Of The Opera ft. Hank Poort from the concert in Amsterdam. Or "Valley Of The Queens" from the Ayreon Universe concert together with Anneke and Marcela. I still have to look into her solo work, but I decided to go down the Ayreon rabbit-hole first. But in my opinion Nightwish would not fit the theme of the channel at the moment. Oh, "Stabat Mater Dolorosa" with Simone from the Epica show would be a beautiful one for Mortius, too. To be honest, I simply couldn't resist making the "floor/Floor" pun... 😀

Hey Mortius, I don’t think there’s a music video, but a song you absolutely have to react to is High and Dry by Geoff. It came out last year, and it’s seriously under appreciated. It’s an amazing piece by Geoff, and I really hope you react to it.

I like your background, where did you get it? Marwin is very talented in so many areas from singing to post production, as are so many of the Bass Gang and other Acapella groups and individuals.
I don't think enough people are talking about the use of dissonance. It would have been so easy to directly translate the original chords of the song and keep the barber shop feel, but instead he's intentionally using chords with clash and grate against each other just enough to feel spooky and still sound incredible. Just the right amount of uncomfortable to fit the theme without ruining the arrangement.
Yes, this is breakage material to say the least. Marwan seems to always bring a surprise or 6 in every arrangement. I am broken also. Hopefully recovery is possible soon.
