There's something so heartfelt and sincere from all three of them singing that when they come together it's heavenly - truly inspired! And the brother has such a facility with those soulful runs that color the lyrics while the sisters go straight and strong. A beautiful family trio!
Keith Green and 2nd Chapter of Acts helped to form my christian beliefs and emotions. Music has always been a part my spiritual life. These groups tied it all together for me including beinhg a part of the freedom group at my church. Thank you to Gary and Judy and everyone in the group.
Brothers and sisters of 2nd Chapter - thank you for the part you have had in helping me love and serve Christ soon after I He re-generated me in '77 - you are grand brethren. Keep the joy, let Him sanctify you and we'll be in that together 'til the other side. You are beautiful. Thank you for many years of your music in my home for my wife, several children,& me! Keep in His word and let the Spirit grow you - be strong & courageous as you let Him keep you with your first love--bro' way out West
I really think that it is possible for people to be inspired by God in a direct way and pass on what they received to us. Annie Herring told us that this was exactly the way their songs were created I have every reason to believe her. The music that has been performed by 2nd Chapter of acts reflects precisely what I mean and what Annie Herring says in her testimonies. The harmony in their music and lyrics is almost heavenly pure and original. At least that is the way I experience it, for their music runs through your soul when you open yourself to it. It is very uplifting indeed.
The anointing is still there, even listening today! I have all their albums/CDs, and they ministered to me mightily in 1976, 78, and 88. My oldest daughter is named for Annie, and I introduced them at their next to last concert in 1988. What a blessing they were then and still are. May the anointing never leave them, whatever they are doing in Christ now.
I love these concert videos, but I wonder why half is silent, but the image continues. I wish there was music through the whole video, even if it's just a duplicate of what was just seen. I could watch 2nd Chapter of Acts over and over again.
When was this??!!! I've seen them live several times in the 80s but I thought they stopped touring in 1988? Miss them live so much. Beautiful. Thanks so much for posting.
I am almost positive I know where this was recorded. It looks to be at Ichthus, a Christian music festival held in Wilmore Kentucky in the Seventies. I was there at several of them. The background and the layout looks right.
Could be the same venue but it'd have to have been later, mid-80s...this song's from 2nd Chapter's 1985 "Night Light" album. (That album was just out when I first saw them live, at an old movie house in Toronto, with full band, where they opened the set with "Bread Of Life" a cappella in the dark...unforgettable.)
Now that's funny, that...The shirt would've been trendy at the time, and as to Matt's hair, don't worry, it's pretty much gone nowadays...oh, and his voice remains amazing. ;-)

Such a powerful song... when things seem lost.

The harmony is so beautiful and unsurpassed by none!
I noted on the above in 2024!!
Amazing that we can enjoy The 2nd Chapter of Acts performing from such a long-long time ago. TH-cam is the best!!

Flawless, even while singing live! Very few groups (Christian or otherwise) in the world have ever sounded this good.

Great Song Hallelujah ! Thank you Lord Jesus !
They sounded like angels!
These people had serious talent
yes, thank you! I looked about a year ago and there were ZERO results for SCOA, my favorite Christian band... so, thanks!
I feel old...love the video. I still feel old, though...
Very curious as to how you got all this great footage. The best I've seen on youtube

They had to restate this beautiful son ...Thank You blessed JESUS for your love...
Matthew Ward he’s what complements the vocals and makes all the difference 👍

I wasn't aware they were back together singing. They had stopped recording at the height of their careers.
The flower recommended by Jesus, the Son of God, not the other one, which is recommended by man.
:-)
Anybody know where this was?
Bergen,Norway
Good song, whoever recorded it had a sucky cam! Sorry!
I alway thought the one on the left was the prettier one. :)
his shirt is awful not to mention his hair but his voice is amazing!
