I did mine in the truck, it was a pain in the a$$. It looks good, I like that you wrapped it with heat tape.

Yep that definitely helps with velocity! And heat dissipation !

I couldn’t imagine doing one with the transmission in the truck ! No fun for sure !

Another thing about these trucks Marshall. He should consider adding a on/off toggle switch to his glow plugs. To manually turn them on an off. The engine wiring harness is not quite big enough for the load of the glow plugs. This is notorious for burning up the wiring harness in these trucks. Its a simple fix, that will save you about $400 for a harness.

That is a great idea ! funny you should mention that. He replaced his relay a few weeks ago with a used one and it caught fire ! he was able to repair the harness but putting that in there I will suggest to him. I'm assuming a toggle inline with the control side of the Relay ? Power or Computer ground wire ? Thanks for the tip ! keep them coming.

@@marshallsanders5672 Yes, I added a toggle switch to the power side of the relay. Without the toggle switch the glow plugs keep heating up well after the truck has been running, that is where the wiring is not big enough to carry the load. This way you can control it, turn it on when starting, and off after it cranks
