I'm always so glad you always remember to mention your female viewers. It sounds goofy as all get out, but it makes me feel happy to be remembered. lol Suggestions for other words for futuristic: nouveau-modern, avant garde, state of the art, ultramodern, spaceaged, newfangled (if you wanna be crotchety and I know you sometimes do), ahead of it's time, cutting edge, nouvelle, modish ... I'm sure there are more but those are the ones I could think of.
Hey beef, for the ruins you should add flickering redstone lamps. Just hook it up to a redstone burnout setup (torch on a block, block above torch, and dust on the same block the torch is on) and it will randomly update and make the light flicker. This will make it look like broken electricity, which makes sense because the ruins are things of the past and you are doing futuristic stuff. Hope you consider the idea, and vote this up if you want!
Ooh, I know what would make the house glow. Maybe the people living there died when the house was taken down into the ocean by an earthquake or tornado or tsunami, whatever and now the ghosts still haunt it. Maybe the ghosts glow or they have some kind of ghostly lantern or something.
same design as your jungle houses from previous season and some of those Easter island heads was a good idea and it would be cool and could tie the seasons together keep up the good work
Hey Beef just wondering to go along with the underwater ruins idea, once you had the basement floor plan figured out, having a breezway of sorts running around the outerside of that to veiw the underwater ruins better? also maybe test glass to see if the ruins are more visable?
to fix the issue u need to either lower your floor or you can place glowstone behind the stairs that have the lighting glitch. Keep up the good work Beef!!
On the ruin house, you should use a mix of sandstone and wood to make it a little easier to see. Doing that might allow you to take the glowstone out if you want, or don't like it. You could also make like a mid. size temple or a bigger house in the mid of the little houses.
Hey Beef, Under the water you can replace all the dirt with sand so you can see better the ruins, sorry if I did some mistakes in the comment but I' m Italian. Keep on going Beef, you are the best!
hey beef, together with the destroyed houses you could also place halfway-rotten-away-cobblestone and mossy ruins of ancient castles or temple buildings. I think, the cobble would give it a really old and rough look and contrast well with the modern white quartz build, you got on the surface.
Instead of lighting in the ruins, you could put glowing coral reefs around the buildings to not only make them visible, but also add some color and life to the seafloor.
Where the lighting glitch is break the stair in the corner and replace it with glow stone or Redstone lamp to get rid of the light issue and add more light
Another idea, is that you have the lily-pad-fort-thingy be trying to reclaim the underwater ruins, and have them be functional rather than purely aesthetic.
But Beef... Fire aspect and knock back are a really good combination. The knock back makes it so the mob can't touch you and the fire aspect will do damage while the mob is away. You got your looting and you seem to play with spiders a lot as of late, so the bane will help you too!
Hey Beef! The abandond houses look pretty damn cool... but i have a awesome idea, of a sunken ship. It should be pretty big, have cannons on the side and a lot of holes. There could also be tresure there (like a couple gold nuggets) and a map.
Hey Beef. In case you didn't know. if you spam your attack, the item/weapon you use, loses durability every click. So if your hitting a zombie, you are wasting the sword, you cant hurt it faster than a specific speed. You should probably pace your hits.
Glowstone in a brewing stand increases potency, ie: instant health 2 and redstone increases duration. The gliwstone didnt work because fire resistence doesnt add health just stops you from burning.
Hey Beef i have an idea for the stupid black corners put the glow stone were u had it in the time 25:17 than put white carpet over the top of it.? see how u like it...
You should go back to the End Library and gather some Mossy/Cracked Stone Bricks then build some kind of Parthenon Pillars and build another kind of big building under your modern city and have your secret base under some of the pillars.. Hope you accept the idea and keep up the good work!
That's your opinion. I agree, since 1.6 smite is a good enchantment with those zombie's (Imo). The sword still deals the damage of a normal diamond sword + the fire damage, knockback throws them back so they get more damage from the fire. So basicly it's not a perfect sword, but it's something atleast. And I go in mineshafts alot, because I live in a cave.
Jack'o Lanterns inside your underwater ruins will give you the same light, but be cheaper. And, since they are well-hidden inside the buildings no one will notice you went with the cheaper option.
Since horses, asses and mules don't swim while you ride them, what did you plan or have in mind to figure this part out? Shoreside stable area with a boat dock? Still think the biodome would be worth a mention again because it would look more like the jetsons especially if you had like observation towers on a half dome rising from your water fortress. just some thoughts, hope you would consider them but thanks for looking them over. Chy
If you make the underwater ruins, would it be wise to use jack-o-lanterns to light it up instead of glowstone since jack-o-lanterns are cheaper to make than glowstone is to obtain.
Hey beef, If you're still checking these i think a good idea for the Vintage Ruins would be to make them slowly spread out as it got further and further from the coast!
Beef, I'm sure you know this but just in case, spending your XP on enchanting books is a great way to not waist materials on less than ideal enchantments. Also I think it would be baller if you spent maximum XP enchanting a wooden shovel!
Did you build that house out of sand cause maybe you could build it out of cobble to save some stuff a d you probably can't tell it's cobble and it may stick out
Beef, First, I love all of your videos. Second, maybe build another "pad", and on top of it put an average sized building (sorta custom temple) and it can hold the first block broken of sand. Also hidden in the shrine can be a button that below opens up a small doorway, that follows through an underwater passage, to your house (live in, chests, beds, and other stuff) Like so beef can see :)
Beef for the shade on cactus farm if you just look at the shade and brake it I THINK replace it with an block it will have an tiny different design but its not to bad just try it out
25:45 remove the half slab and replace it with glowstone. Then place grey wool carpet over the glowstone. It's not a perfect match but it looks pretty good, it fixes the lighting glitch, and it gives you hidden lighting up top.
Abba caving is a thing they do on the BeastCraft server, at least I think that was where it was made. It's essentially where 2+ people compete to get the most stuff (Like mine wars on mindcrack) and each ore is worth different things, all silk touched, no fortune and so on. I think thats all right but quote me if i'm wrong :)
I have a few ideas for you beef, put villagers down in one of you gardens, like close off rye gap in the stone half slabs on the sugarcane and make it look like a villager is tending to them, and I was thinking that you could put a small like bi plane halfway in the water and half way on the shoreline and make it look like it is from the people of the lost city underwater or something! :D
Beef, Etho has experience in constructing underwater structures on the previous Minecrack server; I am sure you remember his underwater village. Perhaps he could be of aid in constructing your underwater ruins.
for the ruins, you should have like broken sandstone statues of people and a few of them sticking out of the water like heads, arms. legs, stuff like that. and mabye if you can do it, make the arms ,if you put a hand on it, they could have like a spear or sword or a trident. but its up to you if you want to do it.
One way that i found to have a corner piece of a stair, is to have the game make it said shape, and you can push it down with a piston to the place where you want it. :)
I know you do not like xp grinders, but how do you feel about using the spawner to get the items dropped by the mob such as bones and arrows from skeletons?
You don't need a lot of cactus or reed, make them into potato, carrot and wheat farms. I think the green and brown against the quartz would contrast nicely
Beef, you should put random clumps of glow stone on the ocean floor. It'll look like coral and it can be an excuse for the random lights inside the ruined houses.
Aww the spawn was so empty and cute back then haha.
I love the lighting on the underwater ruins. It almost gives it an ethereal look.
The more I see of your organization with diamonds and stuff, the more I like it! At first I wasn't sure but it seems like it works real well for you!
I'm always so glad you always remember to mention your female viewers.
It sounds goofy as all get out, but it makes me feel happy to be remembered. lol

you can turn the stairs around the 180 and make it look like a flat wall? not sure how to explain but the sand would hide the stair part so works
You could replace the bottom stair with a half slab every corner or where the lighting glitch is at
for the reed farm try using flowing water from the top starting at different spots and meeting at one spot at the bottom
Hey beef, for the ruins you should add flickering redstone lamps. Just hook it up to a redstone burnout setup (torch on a block, block above torch, and dust on the same block the torch is on) and it will randomly update and make the light flicker. keep up the good work
*Clap clap clap* That is one of the best ideas I have seen on TH-cam in a long time. Bravo, good sir. Bravo.
The idea of the ruins underwater sounds amazing!
the underwater ruins you could do what etho did in the water by your last water city area. he did a big town all underwater. looked really good
I think u could put the corner stair there(where the cactus is) by aiming in the corner of the other stair and place it.
Keep up the good work Beef!!
in the grey lighting issues areas, put glowstone in them,i think that could fix that
The underwater ruin idea is like the Atlantis Etho gave you in season 2! It's brilliant. :D
You should put glows tone in the corners with grey squares
On the ruin house, you should use a mix of sandstone and wood to make it a little easier to see. Doing that might allow you to take the glowstone out if you want, or don't like it. You could also make like a mid. size temple or a bigger house in the mid of the little houses.
dude love the ice but you can see through glass better and using glass fixes your lighting prob because glass don't melt
Dear Dailly Dosis of Beef
It's like you're building your place over Atlantis!! It's really looking great!!!
I've found that the best way to get rid of those dark patches in the corner stairs is to put a lighting source behind them, not underneath them.
Hey Beef, Under the water you can replace all the dirt with sand so you can see better the ruins, sorry if I did some mistakes in the comment but I' m Italian. Keep on going Beef, you are the best!
hey beef,
together with the destroyed houses you could also place halfway-rotten-away-cobblestone and mossy ruins of ancient castles or temple buildings. I think, the cobble would give it a really old and rough look and contrast well with the modern white quartz build, you got on the surface.
You can make the half slabs one block lower near the wall; it should fix the lighting glitch, but may be a bit derpy
Beef, fire aspect and knock-back are kinda good together, because the mob gets set on fire and then launched away from you, and burns on the way back.
lol 25:38 "Get up, Get up"... Stand up for your life!
But Beef... Fire aspect and knock back are a really good combination. The knock back makes it so the mob can't touch you and the fire aspect will do damage while the mob is away. You got your looting and you seem to play with spiders a lot as of late, so the bane will help you too!
For the black spot where u were trying to put glowstone that block put quarts half slabs
Hey Beef! The abandond houses look pretty damn cool... but i have a awesome idea, of a sunken ship. It should be pretty big, have cannons on the side and a lot of holes. There could also be tresure there (like a couple gold nuggets) and a map.
You could call the underwater site an active archeological dig so that is why it would be lit up.
The gliwstone didnt work because fire resistence doesnt add health just stops you from burning.
try putting a nether quarts slab where the lighting glitch stair is that should fix it
great vid im going back and lookin at the old you keep up the great vids
what u can do is the stair were the black square thingy is destroy that block and place glow stone.i hope that made sense.
Try putting stairs facing the stone slabs that might stop the light glitch and I think it will look pretty cool
I laughed my ass off when you were breaking the diamonds and getting only 1 every time hahahaha
Great job on this episode. I was wondering what happened to the old FTB server coz I was really enjoying you work on the farm and your house etc
deep under water crevices lit so they glow to go along with the ruins makes it look like theres a reason the ruins sunk
On the three sides you should put different tree biomes you first did forest then snow then jungle.
If you make the ruins one big complex, you can attach it to your hut and then make it look like an archeological dig.
That's your opinion. I agree, since 1.6 smite is a good enchantment with those zombie's (Imo). The sword still deals the damage of a normal diamond sword + the fire damage, knockback throws them back so they get more damage from the fire. Jack'o Lanterns inside your underwater ruins will give you the same light, but be cheaper. And, since they are well-hidden inside the buildings no one will notice you went with the cheaper option.
You could try destroying the stone slab and under it put a stone slab of that works ot might look weird though I havent tested it
Since horses, asses and mules don't swim while you ride them, what did you plan or have in mind to figure this part out? Shoreside stable area with a boat dock?
Still think the biodome would be worth a mention again because it would look more like the jetsons especially if you had like observation towers on a half dome rising from your water fortress. just some thoughts, hope you would consider them but thanks for looking them over. Chy

Did you build that house out of sand cause maybe you could build it out of cobble to save some stuff a d you probably can't tell it's cobble and it may stick out
Beef, being as the position of the halfslabs is causin the lighting glitches, why not put those halfslabs half a block lower?
U should make a stairwell under the fountain and have a chest/lookout room where u can c the ruins through
Beef, First, I love all of your videos.
I really like the haunted underground ruins idea thingy
if you put the glowstone behind the stair light will come through like strip lighting... see Etho's single player storage room for an example.
you should build some of the jungle houses from last season under the ocean as sort of a reminder of your second season like
you should have a secret passage in the tree farm that leads to it and have like your home in there or something
You can fix the light glitch by changing your setting. Use smooth lightning.
What about using quarts blocks instead of half slabs for the black spots
You need to turn the blocks with the lighting errors with chiseled quarts blocks.
if you make a device that gives night vision you'll be able to see the ruins more clearly!
Like the one at Etho's horse thingy which gives you speed.
can we get a "quartz" counter for everytime beef says quartz in a video?
UHC the mod has been removed but the used new gamerules to make it so you dont regen because everyone was having so much fun on UHC mode.
in the ruins, you could use redstone lamps and make them flicker on and off to make it look like their 'power source' is going bad.
Beef for the shade on cactus farm if you just look at the shade and brake it I THINK replace it with an block it will have an tiny different design but its not to bad just try it out
Awesome video beef, keep up the great work!!!
You should put carpet over top of the glowstone to get rid of the lighting glitches, keep it up!
Hey beef why dont you put glowstone or something that gives off light where all the black squares are with the quartz steps.
that fortune III luck with the diamonds killed me :D
In the ruins you should have a caslte like creation or like a town center as a extra decoration of coolness
Do you remember when you broken that stone slab well replace with glow stone .
25:45 remove the half slab and replace it with glowstone. Then place grey wool carpet over the glowstone. It's not a perfect match but it looks pretty good, it fixes the lighting glitch, and it gives you hidden lighting up top.
Try right clicking the shade gliches, that's what works for me
Abba caving is a thing they do on the BeastCraft server, at least I think that was where it was made. It's essentially where 2+ people compete to get the most stuff (Like mine wars on mindcrack) and each ore is worth different things, all silk touched, no fortune and so on. Wondering if prank wars is going to start again soon. But probably not until UHC is turned off
Possibly put pillars in the corners to prevent the light glitch?
What if you made a gaint sea monster around the base or off in the distance?
Beef, Etho has experience in constructing underwater structures on the previous Minecrack server; I am sure you remember his underwater village. Perhaps he could be of aid in constructing your underwater ruins.
I swear when it comes to enchanting, beef is the most unlucky guy....
Maybe you can put a broken down ship at the very bottom along with the houses I think it would look super cool to have like an abandoned ship
If u make ruins u should make a few big ice tubes connecting the places where u would see the ruins
That ruins idea is a great idea. It sounds awesome.
for the ruins, you should have like broken sandstone statues of people and a few of them sticking out of the water like heads, arms. legs, stuff like that. and mabye if you can do it, make the arms ,if you put a hand on it, they could have like a spear or sword or a trident. but its up to you if you want to do it.
Each corner you replace it with glowstone or all the black out one's
One way that i found to have a corner piece of a stair, is to have the game make it said shape, and you can push it down with a piston to the place where you want it. :)
I like the dark corners because they add a bit of texture
I know you do not like xp grinders, but how do you feel about using the spawner to get the items dropped by the mob such as bones and arrows from skeletons?
With the stone slab that you place down that starts the light glitch, put another slab under. Just a suggestion idk.
the spider was invis because sometimes their is a chance that it spawns with a potion effect like once i saw a spider but with speed effect
You don't need a lot of cactus or reed, make them into potato, carrot and wheat farms. I think the green and brown against the quartz would contrast nicely
Beef, you should put random clumps of glow stone on the ocean floor. It'll look like coral and it can be an excuse for the random lights inside the ruined houses.
hey beefie you know how the mobs spawn a round the fountin well put glowstone in the mittle of the fountin
