Thank you so much for this video. It was my first time ordering a knife like this and I had no idea how to close it! City girl problems! haha! Thanks again!
I've had three of these knives for the past couple of years. They stand up to moderate duty, & all 3 still hold their edges. One small feature you didn't mention: the orange colored hook-like item opposite the blade end is a seat-belt cutter; I carry one of these in each of my cars, & the 3rd one with my fishing tackle. Nice knife at a very reasonable price on Amazon.
These types of window breakers are meant for the car's side windows, never the windshield or the rear window. When breaking car windows, only strike the CORNERS of the window panel to minimize injury.
William Smith The most common Tac Force knives are US Design Made In China, but Tac Force does have US Made knives. You have to specify when you look for the knife you want. The US Made as you stated do cost more though.
Crafty ranger you are mostly right. Technically they have a sub brand called z hunter and they (as a reviewer says) have the cutting power of a seahorse
These knives are readily dismissed by other youtubers because they are "cheap." But, as others below have noted, they work. My boys have been carrying one as EDC for several years, with LOTS of use, opened and closed thousands of times and there has never been a fail. Just like with a pistol that you expect to go "bang" every time the trigger is pulled, the same goes for a pocket knife. If it opens every time, stays sharp and does its job, then it is a success. And if you can do all that for $9 instead of $200, then kudos. Inexpensive does not always translate as cheap.
I am in love with knives and every tac force knife I bought has broke in some way due to the fact that they are made out of cheap steel. For a starter knife I would recommend a CRKT m16-10kz it is decent priced and keeps a great edge.
Great review! I've been carrying mine for a couple months, and I love it. I did make a slight adjustment to the liner lock to add some life to it, but other than that it's a great knife for the price. I already ordered a backup in case I lose it.
the only thing about this knife for me is that when you first get it its super stiff and hurts your finger to open it. I bought two of these a grey camp for my brother on his birthday and recently the orange met for myself both of them came super still but my brothers got looser over time so i hope mine does too.
My boyfriend purchased a Tac-Force knife and I opened it to check it out. Now it won't close. The little dial mechanism you showed that closes it is so tight that it isn't budging. So the blade is basically stuck open.
H Yee Poong III I would recommend that you buy something a little better for your usage. As a 27-year paramedic, I would not rely on this as a life-saving tool
Just got mine today, is there a way to make the flipper not require so much force to open the blade? Maybe I just have to break in the knife/spring but it seems like my knife requires wayyy too much force to open
AFiercePanda It's been a while since you posted this, but it still is any help, you need a screwdriver with a t9 shaped head to loosen the flipper. I had the same issue and this fixed it.
The "shark fin thing" is called the flipper. And it's not a "center lock" it's called a liner lock. Just thought you should know. If you're going into the medical field, I say you need a blade with better steel. 440 won't cut it man. At least get a blade with an AUS-8 steel. If you can save the extra cash, get a s30v. Holds a great edge
TheTerr1bleOneAZ Yeah I meant to say "liner lock", but I just went with it. I'm not actually going to use the knife in the medical field, based on what I will be doing, I was just digging the design. Thanks for the tip, though.
I am looking for a spring assisted knife that shoots straight out like this one wolf one I saw at the mall for $40. But I am looking at one like this on eBay. But, it is not the one I want.
Hi, it's beeing a while since you posted this video qnd you promise you'll keep us informed about how it holds up, I 'm about to buy one and would like to know how godd the blade is.thanks
So, what exactly is a ..."Tactical"...folding knife as opposed to a regular everyday knife of the same design, size and function. Or is the knife just cooler if you can say it's tactical.
+BennyCFD Lol. Ya know, I never really thought about that. That is a really good point. I guess it is like a hunting rifle or an assault rifle. Its a freaking rifle. lol. Good call man.
im new to this and i was concidering getting a cheep knife like this my question is it concidered a switchblade because those are illegal here in California
Schrade SCH501S EDC Folding Knife VS TAC-Force Knives what would you reccomend i dont minde the price too too much so which one is better PLs tell me help
+Project Woodworks I planned to use this just for everyday use, I know nothing about knives, what's the best way to sharpen them, I also plan to have one for self defense....I don't exactly know how to use one, but I'm sure if I jab someone with one it'll hurt! I'm sure I can find tutorials on youtube, but what's a nice, cheap self defense knife, and self defense will be its only purpose? Aswell as is sharpening all knives the same?
+Mijat Vukovic So far, so good. I haven't used it as much as some of my older knifes, mainly because I am no longer in the trades, but it is hanging in there.
Is it good for protection? I live in the hood with the MS-13 gang around me and i'm gonna need a pocket knife good for a battle in case they try and kill me.
A knife is only good for protection if you know how to properly and safely use it. I would recommend taking a self-defense class to ensure that you have the skills required to stay safe.
*+Carson Stephens* Bit late, but definitely not. It's okay for a temporary cheap knife, and great for decoration and all, but it's not good quality. The blade itself isn't that bad, but the handle and screws are very cheap and low quality. Save up an extra couple of bucks and get a good knife especially as a first responder where lives can and will depend on the quality of products like this. When you put it to actual use, the handle may break and you can injure yourself and/or others from it, as well as losing equipment that you payed for and probably need...
It is a good knife for temporary use and you're not willing to spend much at all, but need one now. And it's a good knife if you don't plan on using it much, as well as not necessarily relying on it. Say, tac-force knifes are good to start with just to get the hang of having a knife without actually needing it (aside from simple tasks like opening boxes or something). If you're looking for a knife to stick around, and you plan on using it often, avoid anything by Tac-Force, even if you're on a tight budget. I speak from experience having used a few of them...

Had this knife a few months and love it. I caught the clip on a seat belt and it bent it. Need to figure out how to get bend out but love it overall.
you forgot to test the back seat belt cutter
Thank Youuuu! I just purchased mines from amazon and couldn't close it, so here I am! Big help!
I've had this knife for well over a year now, it's on me every day and use it to pry, screw out screws and cut. It's a tough knife.
I just bought the firefighter version and I love it
Ben boss Yeah, its a sweet knife. Great design!
Tac Force knives are really good for the money.
I just wish they were made in the US.... They'd be more expensive if they were.
William Smith The most common Tac Force knives are US Design Made In China, but Tac Force does have US Made knives. You have to specify when you look for the knife you want. The US Made as you stated do cost more though.
Wrong
William Smith tac force is the worst knife company ever made
Crafty ranger you are mostly right. Technically they have a sub brand called z hunter and they (as a reviewer says) have the cutting power of a seahorse
I have $200 knives that are crappier than my TF. I imagine the materials may not be as durable, but so far I'm impressed for 10 bucks
These knives are readily dismissed by other youtubers because they are "cheap." But, as others below have noted, they work. John Soukar, yes you can remove the badge. It is nothing but a big rubber sticker.
Are these good for opening mail and big boxed packages? Because I'm mostly looking for a spring or pocket knife that can cut at least that with ease
I'd buy a simple utility knife. Boxes and packages can dull a knife quickly and a utility knife is easy to use and change blades quickly.
I am in love with knives and every tac force knife I bought has broke in some way due to the fact that they are made out of cheap steel. For a starter knife I would recommend a CRKT m16-10kz it is decent priced and keeps a great edge.
+UMPking18 dlachar@live.com Thanks for the tip. I'll l give them a look.
Ok for play. Not for professional use. Get a Fox or Benchmade if you depending on your tools. 27 yr paramedic here.
Dana H Just started getting into knives. I want to buy a coldsteel ak47 knife
Great review! I've been carrying mine for a couple months, and I love it. I did make a slight adjustment to the liner lock to add some life to it, but other than that it's a great knife for the price. I already ordered a backup in case I lose it.

It's so stiff that it won't close, either. At least not the one my boyfriend got in the mail, today. The thing won't budge. It's stuck open.
You forgot to mention the concealed blade inside the hook end of the knife
Mr. Sandman that’s a seat belt cutter Lolol
My boyfriend purchased a Tac-Force knife and I opened it to check it out. Now it won't close. The little dial mechanism you showed that closes it is so tight that it isn't budging. So the blade is basically stuck open.
Some knifes are a bit stiff when they are new. It should hopefully loosen over time. Be careful and don't hurt yourself.
Ordered mines last week, waiting on delivery. Good Vid dude. You should look into advertizing and marketing. Good demo man
I am also a first responder so I cannot wait to use this, Las Vegas is never a dull place for medics. #LolSadButTrue
H Yee Poong III I would recommend that you buy something a little better for your usage. As a 27-year paramedic, I would not rely on this as a life-saving tool
you can buy these for $7.50 at amazon with 10 different designs. I simply use it for cleaning fish and cutting lines, Best spring pocket knife.
Just got mine today, is there a way to make the flipper not require so much force to open the blade? Maybe I just have to break in the knife/spring but it seems like my knife requires wayyy too much force to open

LOL you would use the window point on tempered glass side/back windows not laminated glass like windshields.
The "shark fin thing" is called the flipper. And it's not a "center lock" it's called a liner lock. Just thought you should know. Thank bro i opend my brothers knife and didnt know hiw to close it.
Window breaker will not work on a windshield (laminate). They will only work on side windows. Good luck with your education.
I am looking for a spring assisted knife that shoots straight out like this one wolf one I saw at the mall for $40. But I am looking at one like this on eBay. But, it is not the one I want.
i have a schrade pocket knife anb it works realy well but i dont know how to sharpen the blade professionally so its sharp like i got it.
Hi, it's beeing a while since you posted this video qnd you promise you'll keep us informed about how it holds up, I 'm about to buy one and would like to know how godd the blade is.thanks
+pierre jean So far so go. I haven't used it as much as I would like, bit I am diggin' it.
Actually thinking about purchasing from amazon. Do you recommend?
Eric Ayerzz Yes. It is inexpensive, works well, and it looks good. I have been using mine since mid-February and I am still happy with it.
If you want to buy cheap chinese knives buy TwoSun Knives. They're made of D2 steel which is way better than 440.
Thanks so much I had this and forgot how to close it
lol

Schrade SCH501S EDC Folding Knife VS TAC-Force Knives what would you reccomend i dont minde the price too too much so which one is better PLs tell me help
+Omar B No experience with the Schrade. The TAC-Force is still holding up pretty well.
+Project Woodworks I planned to use this just for everyday use, I know nothing about knives, what's the best way to sharpen them, I also plan to have one for self defense....I don't exactly know how to use one, but I'm sure if I jab someone with one it'll hurt! Project Woodworks Didn't think I'd be getting a whole video on it! Thank you, much appreciated.
I know yu recorded this vid a long time ago, so how is the knife holding up?
+Mijat Vukovic So far, so good. I haven't used it as much as some of my older knifes, mainly because I am no longer in the trades, but it is hanging in there.

Dude what
is there a way to remove that EMT badge on the knife?
Sweet!
please help me i got this knife today and it is very hard to open i have to use two hands will someone tell me how to fix this please
Can't they make an easier and quicker way to put blade back into the handle?!
+sevan grigoryan Yeah, I am not a huge fan of liner-locks. They can be a pain in the ass to use, especially if you have gloves on.
thank you for your great review!!
+Master Cutlery You bet! I'm a sucker for cool looking knifes (that I can afford). Thanks for watching!
Would you recommend this knife
+Madox Manetta Yep. For the price, you can't beat it. An sharpening every now and again, and it should last for years.
I’m 13 I got one that’s red and has a silver skull want it to keep the bully’s away need it to be in my pocket
Is it good for protection?
I live in the hood with the MS-13 gang around me and i'm gonna need a pocket knife good for a battle in case they try and kill me.

Mine didn't. It was just the single.
Would you recommend for a First Responder?
Honestly, I have not used it enough to make a fair judgement.
Carson Stephens No. Get a better knife. Benchmaxe, Fox, Boker.
