I'm going to have to try this. I've been stuck but I feel this exercise will help me to find my mojo again. You showed us so many techniques. I especially enjoyed the mono printing one. The collage, the cut out stencils everything and the finished project was so varied and each piece looked so complete. Thank you so much

So inspirational to watch you working on all these little paintings. Thank you for sharing. So many awesome marks! I was particularly excited to see all that is possible with the monoprint, directly onto the paper. Also, the tip about clear gesso with the collage material - super helpful! I will definitely be trying that out. The moment you put the grid on at the end - wow, so wonderful!

I really enjoy watching you demonstrate this beautiful, improvisation technique. I've only tried this approach a few times myself, with some good results. At the same time, although this seems simple, after watching a number of your videos and gaining a better sense of the overall method you are teaching, this takes practice. It feels to me to be a kind of fundamental building block. Thanks so much for sharing so freely. This is very inspiring! I can't wait to try doing this myself again before too long.

I do think at the heart of the art we end up caring about of the most is a healthy dose of play at the beginning. I find this part a time to warm up, loosen up, let any preconceived ideas or pressure go, and yes, this took me decades to learn!

Really interesting to see how the individual compositions snap into view when the mat goes on at the end...will be rewarding to find out how each scene will be modified during the next step.
