I agree with JANG, it's about time Lego did a whole farm subtheme. Arctic; Deep Sea; Volcano; et al, are interesting and exotic. But from time to time, themes that are a little more relatable to younger children, should get their time in the sun.

We need an entire sub theme!! I always wanted a farm sub theme on City, but LEGO needs a lot of ground braking research to find out that kids love farms and farm animals...

Weird how I even never was on a farm, I'm adult and this set appeals more to younger audience but I still LOVE this little thing!

The original farming sub theme was my childhood. I loved it so much and I built so many other attachments and trailers for the tractors and always wished they did more farming sets. Completely agree with you on this - from New Zealand.
Now this is a very interesting set, the biggest downfall with this set is that they really should add more stuff to attach to the tractor, because a tractor is a multitask machine that can do a lot of things with the right accessories, like a digging rig, pulling a trailer full of hay, pulling a cultivating machine in the back (sorry, the right term escapes me) and even a shovel that can be used to push dirt and snow, the possibilities are there, just visit a farm to know more! And a Lego farm theme would certainly work, I'm sure fans would appreciate that, and we could get new animals as well like cows!

I remember as a kid that i really liked farming toys even though i have almost no real life experience with farms. So yeah i agree more Lego farming stuff, kids will probably love it.
I love that Lego seems to be teasing new City subthemes a few release waves in advance (such as the Safari Explorer set from 2020 teasing the safari subtheme rumored to be coming this summer). Maybe this set means we’ll get an expanded farm subtheme again sometime soon? Here’s hoping!
I realize that several years back they did a "cargo" train that was loosely "agricultural" in theme--
But picture an entire "farm" sub theme-- with the flagship being a full on farm train!
Little tank steamer, hay stack gondola, old time cattle car, a tractor and trailer on a flatbed, and a caboose.
Oh-- and make parts of it look actually faded and rusty, just in the build without stickers.
Finally, sell a water/methane tanker and an old, wood style passenger coach as add ons.
Also, either in it's own set or when added to another, it should actually drive THROUGH a barn, like a tunnel-- unrealistic or not, that would just be awesome.
Although I do love your train idea, I think it would be better for the flagship to be a farmhouse complete with a *silo* and barn with different animals. I think it would be awesome if they had cheaper box sets, like 16×16 or smaller plates with rows of crops (no minifigures, just crops) which could be combined to make larger fields, maybe some animal booster packs so you can increase the sizes of the herds and flocks. That train you mentioned should have a *grainery* car and the farmhouse set's silo should be compatible with the grainery car. Another set should be a truck also made compatible with the farmhouse silo.
They actually did have a farm subtheme maybe 10 years ago? With like a main farm, tractor, combine harvester etc
The train could pick up grain from the barn with a conveyor belt in the overhang to load the gondola, kind of like the coal sheds Lionel made
I immediately bought it in January. Everything farm related is an instant buy. Plus the new pieces, the big tires, the bunny, the pumpkin, I needed to get this instantly.
Why doesn’t LEGO make more farm things? Maybe a barn with animals, that would be cool
I was hoping the hay stacks could be used as a corner piece for the Charles Dickens book to make the pages flow better. If they’re 2/3 high then I guess that’s not gonna be doable

A great idea! Or a small group of farm animals in a poly - chickens, eggs, a basket for them, some sheep or some pigs. A perfect addition and a good way for TLG to see if there's a market for more farm stuff [which i hope there would be!]

Once again JANG is right. I have this tractor and I definitely want to see more farm equipment and buildings like a classic barn and farmhouse.
I didn't grow up on a farm, but I loved tractors and the idea of farms as a kid. If this was around when I was a kid I would've absolutely loved it (I still do now!). If I remember right there were some farm sets back in like 2009 - 2011 or so, but I wasn't following Lego during that time
LEGO Farm subtheme needs to happen, this tractor could be the beginning of something great for LEGO. Every kid and adult alike would buy and play with/display those sets, if they're this quality.
The 10 and 20 money range this year is quite good. No big mistakes there.
Lego should really have a farm line.

The excitement of having farm toys to a kid is like the combination of the fun and excitement of having zoo toys and construction toys. You get the cool vehicles and equipment and fun animals.
But everyone knows kids only like fire and police or abstract/exotic themes.

Would be great to see a farm sub theme from LEGO. Every farm enthusiast and Farming simulator player would enjoy having a LEGO farm. Hopefully next year is the year.
Just built this set a week ago in hospital after having an operation on my right knee. It was fun and help with the pain.

I've wanted this set since it came out, almost bought it a few times. The second I saw the new 2022 LEGO City Farm sets I bit the bullet and bought it, along with the recent Horse Trailer set. So glad LEGO City Farm is back!
I found this early at khols back in mid December and it was my most wanted set of 2021. It is still in my backlog due to my city being under construction.

Very original vehicle and those mini-figs are good. Accessorizes are likable. Good set to buy if you like farm stuff.
Having grown up in an agricultural community, this makes me so happy. It looks just like the ones that used to work in the fields around my house and drive down the street. I love it.

A new farm theme would be really cool. Also since the old 7637 farm set started my fascination for Lego.
+1 for the farming subtheme. I swapped the red roof to white to look more Massey Ferguson and added the second beacon light.
I like the level of realism and agree Lego should do a farm subtheme. They could do a barn with horses and cows, a chicken coop, and vehicles such as a combine harvester and a pickup truck with a fifth wheel pulling a livestock trailer.
Jang, to back you up I agree LEGO is overdue doing a Farming Theme and I strongly believe a Construction Theme needs to be done again as well.
I like it better with the bucket. I used to drive a tractor at my job and it had a bucket so that seems perfectly reasonable to me.
This set is awesome, I hope it signals a return of the farm sub-theme.

I believe that the little patch of blue in the back is meant to be the license plate. I live in rural Oklahoma and frequently see tractors diving down the road with a license plate right where the blue brick is.
about 10 years ago I got my first Lego set, it was red tractor, they now cost over 100 dollars in mint condition, ngl I will probably buy this for the nostalgia.
It is a great tractor. Was very pleased with the look the size and the price. Looks good on my farm. Would like more in this range
Will definitely pick up this one. The price in the UK seems pretty reasonable for a vehicle of this size (especially with those huge tyres), two minifigures and an animal.

I would like to see a bailing fork and snow plow front attachments, and an open trailer and liquid trailer rear attachments. An attachment set that goes with this, would be great!
This was the first set of the new releases that I picked up. I grew up on a farm, and I love seeing sets like this. We never had a tractor fancy enough to have an enclosed cab, but I still love it.
I actually happened to be browsing the site the other day and noticed this as one of the sets worth buying. I definitely wouldn't mind a farm subtheme.

I think I like the old tracktor more, just because it had a slick....er resign. This one is good and has a front-loader. I like the inclusion of crops. It would be great to get some kind of scarecrow too. Maybe we will get it just like we got a lawnmower and a tractor set couple of years ago? The barn would be a neat idea, but you know lego rarely goes outside their usual stuff. Altrough this year is kinda unique with the stuff they make, so we will see.
That front-loader attachment is primed for modifications. Can't wait to see what people do with it.

I love the tread design on the rear tires. Would be nice if LEGO did that same tread design on some of the next size down tires. Specifically I would like such a tread design on some of my construction machines. My only disappointment with the front loader design on this tractor, is the bucket has a weight limit that it holds while lifted up. If you put both hay stacks and the box(full of the 2 carrots, apple and pumpkin) in the bucket, the weight will be too heavy for the front loader to hold the load in the air.
Fine looking set...only wish the rear tire fenders covered more of the tires to prevent splashing 💦

Its like the tractor from set 7634, but bigger. I think its looks good. Interesting to note that the front tires on this set, are the same tires used on the back wheels for both tractors in 7634 and 7684. I hope the farming sub theme does get a restart again.

I really love the look of this set. I can’t help but with they would make a farmhouse set to go with, maybe with a “mom”, “son, and baby. Probably a picnic table or tree side build. Then even a side garage/shed, maybe workshop, another few figures. Just to create a whole farmhouse/plantation sort of scene, I think it would be really cool

Ahh dang, from pictures it looked like you could replace the rear axle with a Part 32324 block to making a working PTO shaft, but it looks like the wheels are too large and needed that rounded shape. Oh well, it would be fun to figure out how to make the implements "power" themselves.
i dont buy much city stuff anymore but i would love to see them do a big farm, barn or even stable set with a bunch of farm animals in it

As an adult Lego fan and a fan of Farming Simulator, I would absolutely love more farm themed sets, but somehow I feel like kids nowadays just might not be that interested in them. Might be better to market those to adults, make them big detailed Creator sets.

I'm not much of a farm fan generally but I think a farm theme is s great idea! At the very least it'd probably give us a whole bunch of new animals/plants which I am ways excited for

Jang, I made a modification on mine so the front loader bucket teeth stay flat to the ground. What I had to do was move the front wheel axle one stud back and and extend the front loader arms by one stud.

Never realized till now how shocking it is they never did a full farm theme with a Barn set, maybe a wishing well, and a crop patch
I bought this...because I liked the tractor. I really enjoyed it, and my wife thinks it’s pretty ok with a bunch of Lego trees/flowers/plants around it.
I would honestly love it if they did a farming subtheme.

I bought this soon after it came out and am very happy with it, I think it's really quite charming. We did get a good deal on the price in the UK I think on this particular set.
I too would like to see some more farm City sets, I'm not into the conflict driven 'main' City sets but I do like small, semi-realistic minifig scale sets and City is basically the theme for those types of models.
I would guess there will be at least one bigger farm set soon, if the tractor sells not terrible. They did this before, about two years ago we got the snowcat and then less than a year later the big ski resort set.

for few more pieces it would've been nice to have a trailer ! editing just to saying for 20 euros it is in fact, missing about 60 or more pieces for a standard 20 euros set. this theme would be a nice one, maybe with more vehicles and lots of farm animals.
I was so excited when I saw this set was coming out. I was late teens when lego did its farm sub theme. I have been waiting for another farm theme. I had given up hope till the harvestor transport. eventually
I haven't bought a Lego set in 3 years cuz Lego sets have been getting overpriced and stuff. But this! Since I live on a farm, I'm actually considering buying this. It's not some fantasy vehicle Lego usually makes. It's actually really realistic to modern Tractors. I just wish Lego would make a whole new farm theme. We haven't gotten that since what? 2012?
