I've watch a shootout with the 296t, sputnik, verbos and fumana... the 296t has THE BEST resonances! very juicy and organic textures. buchla really knew what he was doing in the circuits. SOOOOOOO RUBBERY!
@@Stazma I like the balls on Fumana too as an alternate flavor, but they're ALL "un-moogy" and that is a good thing in my world. Thanks a bunch for the shootout. AWESOME ESSENTIAL resource.
At first I thought it was going to be over a grand, so it being massive hp and (at first impression from the comments of YT/Modwiggler comments), expensive, made me decide that I was going to skip this one for my 200t system...but then TTA decided to make this more affordable and after listening to various 4U 296 and subsequently, Todd Burton's videos...along with a nice discount from my local shop where I buy my stuff from, made me buy one. Still in the honeymoon but I love mine. Not only is it a great processing tool, but also a brilliant modulation source. Going to skip on the 207t as I already have a Sputnik 6-channel mixer so I am waiting for the 259t now!
I got mine last week and I’ve been doodling with it ever since…it’s a fantastic new source of timbres. It’s hard to believe this kind of weirdness and complexity can come out of an analog module. I am still wrapping my head around the amount of modulation I can generate from this using a complex input. Oh also, feedback options are incredible here. This TT Buchla system is shaping up to be incredibly interesting and capable of new sounds every time I sit down.
Very powerful indeed, who need a classic filter in a system when such a thing is here to shape the frequency content of a sound (I’ll still use filter in other systems tho hahaha, I love these things too much)

Best demo of this module I’ve seen so far.
Many thanks!
yessssssssssssssssss been waiting for this bad boy! sounding so good! christmas present to myself inbound hehe

It’s the shootout I made you saw probably hahaha. Indeed it think the 296t is my favorite sounding of all.

Yes indeed can't wait for 259 next to this beast!

The led's on the inputs are not clip lights, more like "signal present" indicators! So just push! =)
I know I was clipping for real at the input of my audio interface hahaha
Fire
drum vocoder is awesome hahaha!!!!
I love it very much as well.
Please do some severe hi-pass filtering to your voice.
You’re the first to complain about this but it’s true that in this video my voice is quite bassy. I’ll try to keep an eye on this.
