not sure if this is worth it or not (or if you still have it patched up) but maybe if you could release a short recording of just the raw Verbos VCO output that you used here? then people could load it into Morphagene or whatever and compare whatever LPGs they have...

What would would it take to get some of the cool patches you were doing with the QMMG in the last video with the Buchla module?

Found a new appreciation for non-organic sounds from vactrol LPGs - that Nekyia’s brightness and a touch of clang is quite unique driven hotter than 5v expected…. Might not always want that side effect of the click with faster rolls on it, but if you’re using a metallic lpg in a track some click might even be an enhancer for harder genres like IDM or industrial ….. just my pot thoughts while elden ring is paused for this 🗡 🤴 🛡

Had an MMG, never really cared for its sound, plus it was the first MN module I had that developed a dead spot and it was on the cut off knob. As I understand the QMMG is 4 MMGs...and seeing the ludicrous 2nd hand prices of the MMG, this re-issue will be a bargain for the people that like it. Its a good thing they are re-releasing this, only to piss off the scalpers.

I'm a tragic MN Fanboy.. And I only live once.. So I'll be hopeful to get my hands on one and shoe horn it into my shared system XL

I do love the QMMG but never felt like the price was justified. I understand the collectibility since the first run was hand-built by Tony Rolando, but never was blown away by the sound. Really flexible, but not the best sounding filter (nice squelch but nothing mind blowing about it) or LPG (it does ring, I guess?). The damping feature is quite nice and the panel design is lovely, though. I am sure the new batch will sell out immediately and folks will be scalping them shortly thereafter all the same. lol. But maybe people will get their hands on them and realize the hype was not quite justified? I hope people love them, but I think people should temper their expectations.

How does the QMMG compare to the Tiptop Buchla LPG? I definitely see some added features on the QMMG but curious if you have any thoughts on tonal comparisons and/or the vactrols?

It sounds so great, but I don't think it'll work for my setup, as I rely on strike inputs for envelopes. And I can buy two modules for the price of one of these.

I'm trying to decide between the 7 and the 9, and since you have tried both of these, i am curious your take. Seems like the difference is between the .4ms and 1.5ms on the short end of the delay time. So in that 1.1 ms is there a magic that makes the 9 the one to go for, or would the 7 be considered more versatile being able to get into the chorus territory?

I love it so much whenever you use the 880 in your videos, and this is a great one. It's by far the best clone of the 808 in my opinion, and I love how even with the smaller design and extra features it still feels a lot like working with an original 808 and sounds exactly like one (Edited to add the word "you" in the first sentence)
