Off topic. I have come to a strange conclusion I wasn't expecting. You're going to think I'm nuts and maybe I am. While I love the sounds of all of the instruments in a symphony orchestra including the oboe and English horn and I love a great piano concerto my favorite as if now .... wait for it... is... wait for it.. It's THE TUBA. That's right. What a glorious powerful mellow sound it makes, in some regards better than the cello. It may be the most powerful instrument in a symphony orchestra. What do you think Pedro, am I crazy or am I crazy?
@@deaudiofilosinenglish169 If your sound system can't produce the sound of a tuba with reasonable accuracy then what can I say except .. you better stick too piccolo concertos. I've got a really beautiful one on vinyl, Nonesuch label, mostly Vivaldi. I haven't heard it in decades. Most of the vinyls are in the basement. The hard part is finding it.
@@deaudiofilosinenglish169 I got myself thinking. Although there isn't a single strand of Italian DNA in me, I think part of my brain is Italian. When I was 5 years old this was one of my favorite songs. It was the piccolo that reminded me. th-cam.com/video/Bsg73N0eUZk/w-d-xo.html In 1985 I sailed on the Costa Riviera. Every night at dinner they had a group of Italian troubadours come to each table to take requests to play and sing Italian songs. This is what I asked for every night and within two or three nights I had the entire dining room twirling their napkins. After a few nights I didn't even have to ask them, they knew. I really am un poco loco. th-cam.com/video/XW0W7j04iRQ/w-d-xo.html
