Xbox 360 Controller No Battery Pack Fix - Use Your Controller Without a Battery Pack

- This video will show you how to fix your Xbox 360 controllers to use without a battery pack. You'll need a few common household items to fix it and YES, it will work!
Xbox 360 Replacement Battery Pack: amzn.to/2eVEW9B
What You'll Need:
- Xbox 360 Controller - amzn.to/3RDldzA
- 2 AA Batteries - amzn.to/4ay0iXd
- Electrical Tape - amzn.to/3v9PSgq
- Scissors - amzn.to/48aTRYz (everybody should have a pair of Fiskars scissors)
- 4 Pennies
What You Need to Do:
1) Insert Battery 1 + Side Down
2) Insert Battery 2 - Side Down
3) Insert 4 Pennies on top of/in between 2 batteries
4) Make sure batteries and pennies are snug and secure
5) Cut 3 pieces of electrical tape (2 shorter, 1 longer)
6) Put 2 pieces of shorter electrical tape over batteries horizontally
7) Put the longer piece of tape vertically across the pennies and batteries
8) Use your controller!

Over 6 years later and this still helps people like me. Works great with three 5 euro cent pieces.
Neglected my 360 controller for 4 months while playing Witcher 3 all the time and for whatever reason the rechargeable battery pack, that worked perfectly before, would loose all its power after 10 minutes of play even when it was charged for 3 hours.
with my 3 friends who grew up with the 360 as kids, never in my life have i been saved more than now. the disc reader won’t stop trying to open but the games that are downloaded still work! thanks man

Thanks for this trick. I now know that the controller I found on the side of the sidewalk a few weeks ago works after I gave it a major cleaning. I'm planing on using it on my Win. 10 computer. I didn't want to wast money on a replacement battery pack to realize the controller is completely dead. When I found the controller it was on my way home from work and it had been raining kinda hard earlier that morning. Plus I need to replace the thumbsticks/joy sticks cause one of them has the rubber grip completely torn off while the other one is half way torn off due to cleaning.

I'm back after 8 years, I used this trick a lot and I have to say thank you, you actually allowed me to be able to play Xbox. It just so happened to be my first ever Xbox 360 which I found in a dumpster and it has red ring of death which I fixed. It had a faulty hard drive

Shit still works in 2021. Just saved a nostalgia trip with my best friend, I'm visiting him for a week since I haven't seen him in a couple years. We live in different states so it's hard to see each other. anyways, my buddies battery packs were busted so we were kind dim on hope of having it. But this shit worked and saved us a trip of frantic running around old retro game stores.
I found my old 360 lying around collecting dust so I decided to turn it on but no battery packs so I did this and it worked turns out I finished walking dead telltale season 1 100%
