  • *Thanks's TH-cam User: "fraviaseeker" for the information that helped make this video!*
    Fix your weird Xbox rechargeable battery pack problems.
    Remember
    -Pins 2&4
    -Pins 1&5 to Pins 2&6
    Sorry about the audio, I had to turn down the volume as I maxed out the mic on my camera because I forgot to change a setting to fix that on the camera.

    *This battery reconditioning program exceeded my presumptions. It worked on any drill battery, several AA and AAA batteries, **batery.repair** and any camera battery. The steps are simple and the act itself is exciting to do. No matter what type of battery you`ve got, it is sure to function again!*

    Making use of the th-cam.com/users/postUgkxcJ22tnHH9l1vjdIdEIG27iOG55P7LXI8 reconditioning plan, I just saved 2 auto batteries from being completely junked. The guides were very simple to follow. I wish I would have found this years ago! You may use the guide to recondition any battery type

  • @magnusartifex59
    @magnusartifex59 10 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    It works! My paperclip didn't get hot because the battery was already totally empty, so it was enough to touch only 1-5 and 2-6

  • @nicklarsen2737
    @nicklarsen2737 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I seriously can't believe this worked, but it totally did (on the second attempt).
    One thing the video isn't quite clear about is that you need to hold down the 1&5 and the 2&6 combo for bit longer (I did each combo for like 10 seconds).
    Thank you!

    Awesome, my batteries were already dead to a point where it needed to be charged, so I just did the reset of the logic board. Slapped it in my controller hooked in the charge/play cord and the light turned red and now is charging. Thx so very much.

    I don't have a paperclip near me. Is it possible to use another metal source, like a cobber wire or small metal wires you use in small electronic circuits?

  • @MultiClittle
    @MultiClittle 9 ปีที่แล้ว +17

    Note: discharge occurs between pins 2 and pin 5. *Warning* to anyone about to attempt this process! Release the paperclip every 2-3 seconds. If the battery has a charge the paperclip will become *very hot very quickly*. Use appropriate protection between the paperclip and your fingers. The battery will heat up as well and you can irreversibly damage the battery casing, or worse, cause the battery to burst into flames.

  • @Tito_Soto
    @Tito_Soto 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Worked like a charm. Thank you for the valuable info. If anyone is still having issues, pin #2 is positive and pin #5 is negative. Use an old phone charger and cut the end with wires exposed, red is positive and black is negative. Just like giving a dead cat battery a jump start. Hold them on the designated pins for a few moments and continue with this fix and all should work well. Thanks again bro!

    Any other ways to fix the battery? I tried the method it didnt help most other people said hut the 2-5 to drain it then 1-5 then 2-6 not 2-4 I tried them both but neither 2-4 or 2-5 heat up the metal or battery. It has a small bit of juice in it but when I plug it to the charger it turns green right away. Well a quick 1 second red then green.

    I need help my rechargeable battery pack for xbox360 won't turn on

  • @FelixBunemann
    @FelixBunemann 9 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    I had a deep discharged pack and to fix it I wired two paper clips between pin 2 and 2 (plus) and pin 5 and 5 (minus) of the dead (0.003V) and a fully charged (2.7V) battery pack and left it for about 30-60 seconds. After that I measured roughly 2.7V on the previously dead rechargeable and I could charge it again using the xbox charge station.

    • @seansalmon6410
      @seansalmon6410 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This needs to be at the top. This is the solution to a fully discharged battery pack. I had a pack that wouldn't turn red or green. I checked the voltage and got similar readings (0.003V on the dead, and 2.7V on the charged). I wired 2 to 2, and 5 to 5 for 30 seconds. The dead pack registered at 2.7V afterwards, and viola: it can charge again!! Now I'm wishing I hadn't thrown out 2 other dead packs that wouldn't charge with the method above.

    This method FAILED for me on 4 battery packs that haven't been used in
    years. They also had very little use before putting them into storage.
    They're completely dead now and I tried this method many, many times on
    each of the batteries. I'm just going to use the regular battery covers
    and get some good rechargeable AA batteries.

    I just fixed my pack by plugging/unplugging the charging cable several times over (10-15 times) and then leaving it plugged in for a bit. At first the red light came on after about a minute (where as before it was just a flash of green and then nothing), then it fully charged to green and works. I recommend trying this simple trick before attempting the battery discharging trick in the video.
