Aww this is making me miss London so much! And you are so right, middle eastern food is the best cuisine in London. I'm thai and I lived in London for 2 years, it was a struggle to find good Asian food. I mean.. it's the only city that I've been to that doesn't serve banchan in Korean restaurants! Yes, I noticed that also. London is nowhere near as safe as Seoul. I have lived in both countries for over a year each and in Seoul you can walk past a wallet or credit card on the ground the morning and in the afternoon it's STILL there except some helpful person has put a white piece of paper underneath it to highlight it's position.

I remember having their beans for breakfast it was so ketchupy and hearty and warm during the winter like having sweet beans for breakfast was truly life changing. And then the girls I went with got fish and chips the fish was battered soo warm and crispy. Food was good!
