My mother, sister and I had a holiday tradition...we polished all the silver in both houses just before Thanksgiving. We also cleaned the baking pantries. We were ready for the holidays. I miss it. My mother is sadly transitioning to the end of life. She always made it wonderful for us. Please hug your mother's often this holiday season. God Bless all at Lalande and your extended families.

My mother in assisted living. She did all the cooking, baking, cleaning, shopping, etc. I don't do any of it cause there is no family around me. Miss those days.

Reading a little about the Aachen Christmas Market in Germany where Stephanie and Philip will meet with Philip's mother to celebrate her birthday, a tidbit of surprising information is that it is the site of the larger than life six meters Printen gingerbread man. That’s far more than enough gingerbread for the hungriest to nibble on right through to New Years Day and beyond.

I had a very busy week and had to save up four of the shows and I am really enjoying myself. I think I’m going to do this more often watch it twice a week or so and then sit down and enjoy a long time with you guys. What will we do when this is over. It makes me a little bit sad.

I found The Morville Hours in digital form at my local library and have downloaded it. I live on the West Coast of the US and sometimes they don't carry some of the English writers, so I'm always happy when Stephanie or another of my channels mentions a book and I can find it.
Your aunt and uncle will feel so special going into that stunning and thoughtfully decorated room. Enjoy your trip.....what stamina you two have but who would be sleeping when you can be decorating a chateau.

sorry, but that 24 hour live feed thing just hits wrong. Far too invasive. We enjoy the videos in large part because of some brilliant editing. Hours of filming edited down to the twenty some odd minutes of video we love. I'm very thankful for that.

I got to stay 11 days in La Tour last year... it's a magical room with an amazing view of the fountain... LOVED!
Stephanie. I know from your vlogs that the old Marquis wanted you to rethink buying the Chateau at only 28 years old. He had you sleep in that very room. You make the drapes for the bed with matching cloth to the walls that the Marquis found in a drawer. Then you added a shower and toilet hidden in the closets, and Michael painted the woodwork in panels. It is a unique experience based on your love of your first room at Lalande. 😘😘😘
I am always amazed when l see Michael's Faux paneling. I am curious how long it took to paint it. I have a small entrance hall where l am considering doing that. The room is beautifully decorated and l am sure your aunt and uncle will enjoy their stay there.

You inspired me to break out the silver polish! The yellow green room looks so bright and inviting. The mini tree will look great when you get done adding the ornaments. My mini tree has gold and white ribbons rippling down vertically from the top and it brightened it up! 😘
