As much as you don't like making them, does this change your class tier list at all? I found that video so useful in helping me understand which classes/builds are performing really well and which ones aren't. I guess all I really want to know is: does any build enter or leave your "Legendary" tier?
So somebody recommended I come here to ask about your opinion on a good build for handicapped players who can't use their hands well. It used to be signet reaper but apparently that got more or less destroyed. They recommended your celestial reaper as being very tanky while also being very easy to play but from what I can see in the videos you're still using every skill on both weapons as well as all your utilities, which is something I tend to have a lot of trouble doing (hence why I've been trying to play signet characters, to at least cut down on some presses), not to mention my reaction time is pretty bad so sometimes it forces me to facetank things I shouldn't. Any ideas? I had been tempted to try and do a blood/death/reaper but when I suggested it I was told I would do so little damage it would just become tedious to play, and they recommended I come here. So hi! Loving your video's btw, I've basically been going through all of them to try and find ideas.
Mukluk has a LI build for mechanist that is actually really light on the actions per minute, and can do over 25k damage if I recall. Not bad for only needing 1 button, or maybe 3 buttons for 2k or 3k more damage.
Another thing I've messed around with is a program called "Voice Attack", which allows you to attach keyboard commands to your voice. Now, it isn't competitive in the sense that there is a few millisecond delay between your spoken command and it getting rendered into the keystroke. But for a lot of use cases, it's perfectly fine. For instance, you can say "dodge", and the dodge key will activate. Something like this would be perfect for someone who can't use their hands well, and may very well allow you to attempt more complicated builds that you otherwise wouldn't consider.
so is the mirage "rotation" still to ambush as much as possible ? or is there an actual rotation now ? 'cause the relaxed playstyle of the classic staff/staff was definitly the highlight of the class for me thanks as always for making those videos ! So appreciated !
@@theslayer5978 yes, staff/staff is still good for an open world. but dagger now after this patch and with the new relic is better in terms of damage and bursts faster to kill mobs
Crazy how much some of the same gear/weapons keep coming back . I really don't like the direction of GW2. It's like everyone uses the top weapon , same utilities etc. Always a great video Hizen.
Maybe if you're not playing a class that has actual weapon or utility variety. Also, nobody gives a fuck about the meta. Using a "sub-optimal" weapon instead of what SnowCrows recommends is a negligible DPS loss which doesn't even matter 99% of the time that you play with other people. The difference between using sword/sword and sword/torch as a condition berserker, for example, is like a 2k DPS difference. It doesn't matter. You literally don't have to play the meta. As long as you know what you're doing and understand mechanics for the PvE content that you're playing, nobody cares if you're dealing 20k DPS or 40k DPS. It literally does not matter. You should use what weapons and utility skills you want to use, regardless of what's optimal or not. I keep seeing people enter Fractals, especially at the T3 and T4 levels or in challenge mode, and they might have "mastered" a build recommended by MetaBattle or SnowCrows, but they don't know mechanics and they suck as a player because of it. If you can keep yourself off the ground, nobody cares how much damage you're doing. The same applies to raids and strikes. There is no PvE encounter in the game that cannot be beaten if every dedicated DPS role is dealing 10-15k DPS, which is super easy to reach even in exotic gear or using "sub-optimal" weapons. Even if you consider open-world content, I've cleared every hero point champion, even the hard ones in HoT, using crappy builds. I did an entire hero point train using mace/mace as a Spellbreaker. It's totally fine. You just need to learn the mechanics of what you're fighting. The meta does not matter. It never has and it never will. People who think differently are dumb and need to pull the stick out of their rectum.
@@Nilruin Dude, 17% of players play Virtuoso right now out of any specs and classes in the game. Nearly 1/5 of playerbase play the best dps class only because it’s meta. Everyone cares about meta
wtf the burst damage by the reaper using death magic traits is insane im not using shroud skill at all and im using full exotic gear and afflicted runes only but the chronomancer relic is a game changer plus the wells ( weapons in use scepter + torch /staff )
FYI That Mirage build is very strong in wvw with just a few equipment tweeks. going sword/shield in off hand with cleanse rune, and blink instead of Signet of Domination
For the mirage build I have switched chaos trait line for domination for the empowered illusions, improved vulnerability, egotism (more strike dmg at lower hp) and boon removal on cc which helps on mobs that have protection etc. Also can switched out improved ambush in mirage as you already make plenty of vuln

in a sorted group where you expect to have 25 might and 25 vulnerability on the boss, then yes axe is better. but in the open world dagger has slightly lower damage than axe in return as i mentioned in the video dagger can apply 25 vulnerability uptime for extra damage, and CC, and generate 25 might thanks to the new relic

Lord Hizen, my literal bible guide for any class build in GW2, second to none! I did have a question, perhaps other users might be able to guide/ assist me with. Love the look of this warrior build, noticed running full celestial set. I can craft another ascended set, but my warrior is running full beserkers at the moment. Would your build work with beserkers or do you need celestial for the other stats to hit breakpoints for upkeep etc?
So just to be clear on the Vindicator build, i believe you previously had Song of Arboreum selected in that trait line...we just need to change to Reaver's Curse on that trait and no other changes?
@@Gleandra ah, you didn't listen or read carefully, I said that I tested the death magic rework on Harbinger and Scourge, and their damage was lower because these 2 specs need the SOUL REAPING trait line since they spam skill 1 on shroud. The only exception is Reaper because we don't spam Shroud 1 on Condi Reaper Edited: so the lower part is about comparing the damage between death magic vs soul reaping for harbinger and scourge
Has anyone noticed that Anet is starting to really push condi builds? It feels like in every patch condi builds get stronger and stronger while power builds stay the same. Is this just a symptom of celestial gear being better for condi than it is for power?
the cause i beleive is the power creep of the recent patches before the condi stuff gets buffed.palyers complained about power builds melting the bosses before the condi users can even put all their sadistic desire of condis on bosses ,so ye guess they trynna balance things?
May 21, 2021 is the day ANet buffed Celestial stats by adding Concentration and Expertise making condi and boon vomit builds the go-to for soloing hard stuff in open world PvE. It's also the day WvW roaming became significantly worse due to these changes and then EoD added more boon and condi vomit to classes.
Condi Reaper being downright better than Power when once (a long time ago) it was king of L.I.-DPS is such a degeneracy that I still refuse to acknowledge or like it.

You didn't mention the best build. Cele scourge with chronomancer relic and wells! Perma alac, quickness, 25 might, Regen and insane self sustain while doing 20k DPS....
Reaper doesn't have aoe alac/might or barrier. Also scourge doesn't lose the health Regen in shroud like reaper. I think scourge is way better cause it's not that selfish
@@paul6350 Hmm is that so? Maybe i should give it another go with the wells. I was playing it with another dps setup and the entire rotation feels clunky as hell. While reaper is all so smooth and the shroud gives u time for your main and offset weapons to cd.
Not sure wth ANET is thinking. "We want to rework classes so they don't have to rely on boons so much" has gone to needing a SPECIFIC Relic to be optimal or your build falls apart. The illusion of choice, much like the Sya NPC, is there but it's all an illusion 😂
i dont like the current state of the game... its becoming way to spammy.. click all your buttons as soon as they pop up and if thats not enough cycle through all your weapon and click more buttons. and dont bother with utility skills... just add more damage skills and click them as soon as they pop up. time to take a break
I have to disagree. Pretty much all builds require you to use a rotation to be effective. Some here and there may be low intensity, but vast majority aren't. Sure, you can get by some encounters just pressing your buttons randomly, but you aren't maximizing your dps/healing/support if you don't pay attention to what your skills do and how they interact with eachother.
I like the combo concept. Having rotations that require the dexterity and memory of a concert pianist isn't my idea of fun. There's reasons why elementalist and engineer are the least played classes and it isn't all ascetic.
This really depends on what class and build you are playing. There are a few strong builds like this, but most you still need to use your abilities smartly.

The spec itself is all about spamming dodge. So yes just spam ambush attacks
Staff/staff is extrenly good in ow. Also ondi mirage has the highest dps rn, 46700 benchmark.

Yep i used rise. People were dying left and right even stacked at claw of jormag but this build made it easy. ❤

Mace is needed if you want to keep up alacrity. If you don't care about that dual pistol is just fine. I actually find pistols a lot more fun.

power dps is definitely doing better in short battles and farming metas, even now.
May 21, 2021 is the day ANet buffed Celestial stats by adding Concentration and Expertise making condi and boon vomit builds the go-to for soloing hard stuff in open world PvE. It's also the day WvW roaming became significantly worse due to these changes and then EoD added more boon and condi vomit to classes.
YES! no updates on the thief axe nerf yet, please dont let it get nerfed, thief being able to face tank champions are a blessing for solo!
You can already tank champions solo with dual dagger Thief.

Condi Reaper being downright better than Power when once (a long time ago) it was king of L.I.-DPS is such a degeneracy that I still refuse to acknowledge or like it.

Perma alac, quickness, 25 might, Regen and insane self sustain while doing 20k DPS....
I was cele scourge, i think the reaper version takes a diff twist even tho the setup is the same. Its more of a oh shit shroud backup.
Reaper doesn't have aoe alac/might or barrier. Also scourge doesn't lose the health Regen in shroud like reaper. I think scourge is way better cause it's not that selfish
@@paul6350 Hmm is that so? Maybe i should give it another go with the wells. I was playing it with another dps setup and the entire rotation feels clunky as hell. While reaper is all so smooth and the shroud gives u time for your main and offset weapons to cd.
Not sure wth ANET is thinking. "We want to rework classes so they don't have to rely on boons so much" has gone to needing a SPECIFIC Relic to be optimal or your build falls apart. The illusion of choice, much like the Sya NPC, is there but it's all an illusion 😂

i dont like the current state of the game... its becoming way to spammy.. click all your buttons as soon as they pop up and if thats not enough cycle through all your weapon and click more buttons. and dont bother with utility skills... just add more damage skills and click them as soon as they pop up. time to take a break
I have to disagree. Pretty much all builds require you to use a rotation to be effective. Some here and there may be low intensity, but vast majority aren't. Sure, you can get by some encounters just pressing your buttons randomly, but you aren't maximizing your dps/healing/support if you don't pay attention to what your skills do and how they interact with eachother.
I like the combo concept. Having rotations that require the dexterity and memory of a concert pianist isn't my idea of fun. There's reasons why elementalist and engineer are the least played classes and it isn't all ascetic.
I agree and the weapon expanded , just means all classes use the weapon using the most damage and in pvp the amount of damage is too high.
This really depends on what class and build you are playing. There are a few strong builds like this, but most you still need to use your abilities smartly.
