These techniques are demonstrated for the sake of the video, and I apologize for the video's low quality. Doubting their effectiveness? Humans have been employing them for centuries in various forms.

    🎯 MISSION STATEMENT:
What we mainly do is derive useful techniques, tactics, and principles from various HEMA treatises and modify them for modern-day self-defense purposes. In general, we utilize the most functional building blocks and are not HEMA purists. Our understanding of the reality of today's self-defense needs is based on intensive study of real violence. We have real and relevant knowledge and experience.
Self-defense must be lawful and justified!

It would be realy interesting to.see if those tecniques work if your attack doesnt stop to move after his strike, as he does here very obviously.

These techniques will work 100% with the right coordination/conditioning. We use them all the time during sparring, though they often take on a dynamic and sometimes chaotic vibe. In this video, they're clearly demonstrated in a didactic manner, as stated, yet they are standard and very simple ripostes utilized by many systems in various forms. These kinds of ripostes are also often demonstrated in many military manuals. If these fail, no other riposte will work. It's merely a matter of simple blocking and direct countering-no complex combination. There's not much to argue about, besides the fact that this is just a demonstration.
