      There were two concepts for a Jurassic Park cartoon,one apparently even had a trailer made for it and some artworks for it were released in 2015,and another was supposed to be connected to Jurassic Park 2 and possibly to Jurassic Park Chaos Effect toyline,with mutant dinosaurs such as a two headed T-Rex and some kind of a three headed blob T-Rex,but both shows got cancelled. At least now we have Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous,which is pretty good.

    As a Ghostbusters fan I have to bring up some things that were mentioned in this video that aren't correct.
    The Show stayed on for longer then Five years, as it premiered in 1986 and the last season of episodes were produced and aired in 1992!
    Also "Citizen Ghost" wasn't the Pilot episode.
    The pilot episode created was "Killerwatt" but for some reason ABC showed the second episode "Ghost R Us" as the shows premiere. This isn't to be confused with the Promo Pilot that was created to sell the show (which features all Ghostbusters wearing khaki and a Evil Slimer aka "Green Ghost").
    The "Citizen Ghost" episode was the Eleventh Episode created by J. Michael Straczynski when he kept getting asked "why's Slimer friends with the Ghostbusters".

      Yeah. There were a few inaccuracies in this video. Not just in regard to Ghostbusters, but a couple of the other shows as well.

    I saw all the films, but I only saw Conan the Adventurer, Real Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, Back to the Future, Ewoks (tiny bit), and Highlander. For me, Real Ghostbusters was my favorite with Conan being a close second.
    I actually remember reading old black-and-white Conan magazines when I was younger. So much blood, violence, and nudity, while the animated was shiny clean. Even the serpent men were just turned into smoke and pulled into portals. Conan is now the past of the Marvel universe and Mary Jane actually became Red Sonja during a crossover event.

    In terms of The Real Ghostbusters, it wasn't the creators that wanted a more kid-friendly approach to the show, it was the network execs at ABC spurred on by some child psychologist focus group
    Head writer, J. Michael Straczynski, who wrote many of the show's "darker" episodes was adamant about maintaining the tone set by season one. The suits disagreed, Straczynski left, but was eventually begged to come back to write a few episodes in later seasons.
    They just couldn't let a good thing be great. smh. That series could've lasted as long as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had it been left alone

  • @katiepersons6575
    @katiepersons6575 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I think it was consultants that the executives brought in to "fix" the Real Ghostbusters that watered it down for younger audiences. The creators resented it. Their frustration was subtlety expressed in the episode "Janine, you've changed".

The first episode was a mini remake of the movie where some purple goo that I think was some alien virus or bacteria was what made Steve melt, and the other episodes were just Ted Nelson trying to stop the spread of it. Speaking of cartoons based on the written works of Robert E. Howard, I would love to see a Solomon Kane cartoon in the art style used in HBO's Spawn cartoon. I feel that it would be quite fitting. Besides, Solomon doesn't seem to get as much attention as Conan in other forms of creative media.
    I would suggest something being done with Howard's character of Kull, but that would likely be compared a bit too much to Conan. Honestly Kull is so far the least well known to me, although I hope I will one day be able to change that.

      @@RandoLePerson Except you are wrong. Dick Jones wasn't pushing for this RoboCop project, but for the bigger ED209. Also Jones was working with Boddicker to increase the crime in the city so his policies can be pushed through politically. It was Jones's corporate rival who spearheaded that RoboCop project by going over Jones's head. You might want to rewatch the movie.
      Again, Alex Murphy's murder wasn't planned, as the video makes it sound like. He definitely became the right person at the right time when Bob Morton, Jones's rival, pitched it to the "Old Man". Murphy wasn't chosen ahead of time. He just happened to "die" when the project got green lit.

    I hate to be ' That Guy', but it was a Parenting/ TV ethics group , not the show runners or creators, who changed The Real Ghostbusters after season 1. The 80s suffered with this as they thought Janine changed to be ' the mother of the group' ( even though she defeated a Ghost in Gozers class) and shouldn't have pointed glasses because pointed things are scary. Winston was to become the driver ( because ' thats what a Black People do') Ray wasn't allowed to speak as much( hardly at all) and gave Slimer a much larger role( even a mini spinoff) because they thought kids like wacky. Many of tye Show runners quit or left in disgust of these changes! Sadly the ratings tanked and so the original show-runners were begged to return...however sadly...the damage was done and Lorenzo Music ( voice of Peter/ Garfield/ Tummy etc.) was replaced due to an off collar comment by his original film actor saying " He sounds to much like Garfield." Only to play his live action counterpart later!

    Dude, OCP never set up Murphy to turn him into a cyborg. There was a report and Louis and Murphy went to investigate. OCP had no idea they even went. Murphy was just super unlucky. When he was gunned down, then he was used for the Robocop program because he was a good canidate.
    And you got a few things wrong with The Real Ghostbusters too. The first episode of the series was Ghost's R Us and dealt with a family of ghosts who escaped containment and wanted to drive the Ghostbusters out of busniess by opening their own Ghost catching company where they have their son scare people then show up just before the Ghostbusters to "catch" him.
    Secondly, it was after season 3 when the show became more kid friendly. And it wasn't the creators choice. ABC hired a group known as Q5 to improve the show. (The show was the #1 saturday morning cartoon at the time) and THEY told the creators how to change the show to "save it". These changes were making Janine less sassy, dress less "sluty" and make her glasses less pointy and instead, make her more motherly, make the Busters be more friendly to Slimer and focus a lot more on Slimer. Also, like only two episodes had the Jr. Ghostbusters. Ratings slowly dropped after the changes and so ABC begged the head writer to come back.

    Off the top Conan, Rambo, and Police Academy were not Saturday morning cartoons they were syndicated after school cartoons. More than half of these cartoons weren’t Saturday morning ones.They did not air exclusively on a major network on Saturday mornings. The reason the adoration for Saturday morning cartoons exist were because very few cartoons were available during weekdays and barely half the country had cable in the 80s. Kids would cling to there TVs Saturday mornings knowing it was their one chance.

    I missed the 90s cartoons but I'm sure it has the same nostalgia as it did for us older crowd.
    Mine where the 60s 70s and the 80s more a afternoon watch when heman and Thundercats where aired.
    So I grew up with some of the biggest cartoons in cartoons history.
    My favorite to this day and still watch is the 1977 Tarzan lord of the jungle. The art work matched the human form more accurately and the walk and movement was much realistic. Not sure how they achieved that though.

    Typical as what happens with marvelous they left out a couple of crucial details. Like the fact that the first season of the real ghost busters make ups 44 to 50% of the cartoon series run. The first season was 80 to 88 episodes. The later seasons were a lot shorter because they rates were not as good because the older fans did not like some of the changes they made like brining in the junior ghostbusters who were characters that were originally from a comic book series. I think only bettle juice and real ghostbuster I knew about grow up as a little kid. Though I saw bettle juice in later days when it was on Nickelodeon our carton network I did not watch it on abc. The Rambo and robo coo and police academy cartoons and Conan and karate kid I only found out about in the last few years. The cartoon for the mask I also vaguely remember from when I was younger.

      The thing that sticks out to me is about 80% of these cartoons weren’t Saturday morning ones but cartoons that were syndicated and came on after school.

    • @ScooterinAB
      @ScooterinAB 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheMaskedheel That's really the same thing though, considering many were also played on Saturday mornings. For example, where I live in Canada, the Disney Afternoon was a Saturday programming block, rather than an afternoon one, and many of the same shows that appeared on Saturday mornings were also played on weekday mornings and after school.

    • @TheMaskedheel
      @TheMaskedheel 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ScooterinAB Not in the states. The shows on the networks abc, cbs, nbc and fox didn’t do this. There were shows like the Ninja turtles and Ghost Busters that eventually got network versions but they were syndicated first it was never in reverse. That’s what made them Saturday morning cartoons. They were only available on Saturday mornings. The other weekdays show if they made it to Saturday were just cartoons on Saturday.

    Because I had seen the movies most of these are based on the cartoon series disappointed me, even as a kid I could see the characters were all so far removed from the original depictions it just spoiled them for me personally.
