Most of these cartoons suffered from the same fate, being aired to early in the morning. Even if you wanted to watch it as a kid you still had to rely on your parents waking you up early enough, and even if you woke up early enough you had to keep yourself awake through the whole show. Teenage mutant Ninja Turtles 2003. Spiderman the animated series 1994. Were two of the best series for me personally..Cool storylines, cool fight sequences.
Man you dusted off some awesome memories ididnt even even remember I had, a few of the shows I used to love as a kid and hadn't thought about them since, great vid!!!
Some of the coolest CGI animation from the 90's was in Blizzard's strategy game, Starcraft. Sadly it was mostly short action clips, while the exposition all happened in long static screen conversations. Still, the cutscenes were somewhat mind blowing at the time.
WOW.....JUST WOW! You really brought me back to my childhood with all these comics! GREAT JOB ON THE VIDEO and PLEASE PLEASE KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK! 👍👍👍👍
I loved watching Exo-Squad growing up even more that I consider apart my Mobile Suit Gundam collection. Ironically it suffered the same fate as the original Mobile Suit Gundam being mistargeted to a younger audience.
STILL Have My E Frame Toys from SO LONG AGO! All I could think about was Ripley in Her Power Loader.. BEST TOYS! 80-90's! GREAT VIDEO! BRINGING BACK MEMORIES!
Highlander the animated series introduced me to post apocalyptic sci fi. The music, the action, the social commentary, this show was greater than anyone gives it credit for. It still inspires me as a writer.
Brings back a lot of memories. I didn't love all these shows but I watched them all. I can even remember an episode of the 90s Incredible Hulk cartoon which took place in Chicago and featured the Limburger Tower from the Biker Mice from Mars.
That's good.. today is not good time for creativity. I think being into "modern" kinda kills your creativity. It's all just so unoriginal, bland, and unmemorable. I swear most modern stuff after I watch it it's like I forget it immediately. Is it deliberate? Who knows? Will this effect generation's creativity? I think so.
Definitely the 90s had some phenomenal cartoons like Mutant League. Skeleton Warriors. Mighty Max. The Pirates of Dark Water.Batman animated series.X-Men. Superman. Spider-Man. Gargoyles .Teknoman. Mummies Alive. Muenster Force EXO Squad. Savage dragon. Wildcats. Spawn. Biker Mice from Mars. Street Sharks. Conan. GI Joe extreme. Speed Racer. James Bond Jr. The Incredible Hulk. The Fantastic Four. Iron Man.
Extreme Ghostbusters had potential & should've had some of the OG Ghostbuster pop up from time to time. I'm a bit surprised B.A.D.: bureau of alien detectors wasn't on this list.
One of the things Extreme Ghostbusters did real well was have a diverse team, and touch on serious subjects while actually being a good show without forcing political messages down our throats.
@@derrickhaggard Yea, I liked the diversity. There was a: smart black guy, an adventurous handicap white guy, a comedic Hispanic guy, & a goth girl. As a kid I could never really find the show though, because it kept changing time slots. Now they're the ones who should've had a Ghostbusters "spin-off" live-action movie. But I guess in Hollyweird "diversity" today means "all women".
Biker Mice From Mars was my shit. I remember watching the show when I was very little and playing with action figures of Vinnie and Moto. For years, I never knew about the comics, the SNES game or the 2006 reboot. It's so much fun rediscovering and exploring old movies, shows, games, collectibles and comics that I grew up with.
most cartoons that have had a short run since the 80's have just been long adverts plugging kids toys or movies , Exo-Squad is a prime example you can still find the toys in some shops.
Exo-Squad was the greatest animated show of the '90s and you can't convince me otherwise. I had the figure of J.T. Marsh and his "Aerial attack" E-Frame as a kid, and more recently was able to find one in great condition off eBay. I believe it was one of the earliest American shows to have a continuing storyline throughout its run. I would love to see it get picked up for a reboot by a studio that could do it justice so we can finally see what they had planned for season 3.
Exosquad does not get NEARLY enough props. That was one of the most complex animated series ever. It had MULTI-SEASON STORY ARCS. This was about as innovative for the era as the Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk.
@@resurrectedhobbyist2727 Fantastic! Hopefully he can find a place to air it; these days everyone's uptight about everything. People will probably say the Neo Sapiens are supposed to gin up racist hate or some nonsense.
I miss the Real Adventures of Johnny Quest. I used to eagerly wait for the cgi quests every episode. Absolutely loved Extreme Ghost Busters. Egon was always my favourite, so it was good to see him take the mentor role.
Recently rewatched Conan the Adventurer and man that show was even better than I remembered. It sadly came out in that forgotten era of kid's shows in the late 80s and early 90s. It deserves a spot on any top 10 cartoon list.
Oh man, some serious gems on this list, and I remember most of them. I remember finding the villain of GI Joe Extreme especially compelling, far more so than the heroes of that show.
This brought back a lot of memories. Exo Squad is one of my all time favorites. But I think you may have missed one very edgy cartoon that was not for children at all "Mighty Max". may be on your next list.
I remember all these shows, this list was amazing it was like clearing out the attic, so many memories i didnt even know i had forgotten, thank you so much, liked and subscribed
the 80s and 90s were the best days for cartoons, we still get some quality toons but before the 21st century came along, we had already experienced a Toon Renaissance.
Yeah, the 80s and 90s were a renaissance after decades of decline. The 2000s were kind of crappy, and then around 2010 we started seeing an improvement with things like adventure time, archer, bojack, and Rick & Morty
@@UltimateGamerCC thank God. It's kind of crazy how cartoons started out aimed at adults (seriously there were looney tunes and Disney style cartoons produced just for people in the military during WW2), then they were made for adults and kids (often airing before movies of all age brackets), but somehow despite things like the Fritz the Cat somehow cartoons became a "kids only" thing in the 60s and 70s and the stigma stuck around through the 80s until recently despite there being tons of adult animation through that whole period. Most people I know over the age of 50 wont watch anything animated unless they're keeping a little kid company or something like that.
@@arthas640 right?? like what the hell caused this ridiculous notion that cartoons were only ever for kids? i mean sure kids got into the cartoons MORE than adults, but it never was intended for just kids, it was family friendly entertainment for one and all.
90s were the best era for cartoons. There are great ones before and after, but as a whole the 90s are the tops. Conan's my favorite on this list, watched it every morning before school...and it was the first one I remember having a clear cut ending.
The new adventures of Johnny quest is a CRIMINALLY underrated show. Johnny quest could use a live action remake well maybe not anymore.... in modern day America is way to sensitive and would probably cry.
80's toons were by far the best, but Exosquad, Wildcats, Biker Mice & Savage Dragon were great. Little surprised the MIB series wasn't on here. It had a way more dark and serious tone than the films
The following shows were my childhood: - Mummies Alive! - Street Sharks - Biker Mice From Mars - Captain Power And The Soldiers Of The Future - Beetleborgs - The Mystic Knights Of Tir Na Nog - Gargoyles - Captain Planet - Shadow Raiders - The Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series - Cyber Six - Beast Wars - Beast Machines - Vision Of Escaflowne - Monster Rancher - Pokemon - Digimon - Redwall - Spawn - Voltron - Reboot - Darkwing Duck - Gundam Wing - Medabots - Cardcaptor
Edge got to comeback, everything nowadays is "childish", i´m sorry but the feminist/sjw trend is too childish, and safe and booooooooring AF, there is a reason 80s and 90s cartoons still kickass, cause there was more edge, not saying that "rad" must comeback but lets leave the childish for the children is all i´m saying
Kids need edgy, so they can grow up cool. This stuff today is just straight mindlesss, it isn't even for kids, it's straight for low iq people. Even if I was a kid I wouldn't watch stuff this mindless. And the people who controls the cartoon companies now are all corrupt.
Love the 1998 Godzilla series. That Godzilla came across as a character, without dialogue. Watching his strategies to defeat other monsters is always fun
Savage Dragon used to be DC in the late 80's and then got sold, but Savage Dragon could work in Image even with Spawn then spinoff, or Create an animae film(s) not a series.
I loved extreme Ghostbusters. The only problem I remember is that the show always came on a Sunday, RIGHT BEFORE we had to go to church, we had to leave just as the intro song (which was so freaking cool) was coming on, it was soooo frustrating lol. But anyway, good memories...I was about 9-10 years old.

My two most remembered lines, from two of these shows -
"Farewell operator JT Marsh."
&
"Let's Rock, and RIDE!"
Miss the 90’s so bad,
Who doesn't?
Yes! Skeleton warriors was my favorite as a kid! Never heard anyone else mention it before.
Swat Kats was fucking awesome! I only wish i was born in the 90s to appreciate the cartoons of that time.
You have to be born in the 80s to enjoy the 90s
Its cool we had awesome cartoons
Swat Kats was one of my favorites
Teenage mutant Ninja Turtles 2003.
Spiderman the animated series 1994.
Were two of the best series for me personally..Cool storylines, cool fight sequences.
Spiderman '94 was superb.
Man you dusted off some awesome memories ididnt even even remember I had, a few of the shows I used to love as a kid and hadn't thought about them since, great vid!!!
i've been saying for YEARS that I need a Biker Mice From Mars live action movie.
lets hope michael bay does not do it:D
@@Tokusatsunerd80 amen, he’d center it around humans and not give us nearly enough giant, muscle bound mice riding motorcycles and fighting aliens
Take
Just a tmnt knock off
Some of the coolest CGI animation from the 90's was in Blizzard's strategy game, Starcraft.
This is my favorite video so far. Im stuck in the 90s
@Wittner Karl I would tell you the same, however, it's obvious that thinking is something you're completely unable to do. 🤡
Batman tas Street Fighter and Gargoyles X-Men ...🤘🤘🤘 Bring 90's back
Biker mice from mars, how did I forgot you. Thanks for the trip back to childhood marvel videos.
What about Ren and the Pirates of Dark Water? That was exceptional
I loved all the anthromorphic shows of the 80s and 90s TMNT , extreme dinosaurs , street sharks , swat cats, road rovers , biker mice etc
The style on Swat Cats was cool af
most cartoons that have had a short run since the 80's have just been long adverts plugging kids toys or movies , Exo-Squad is a prime example you can still find the toys in some shops.
The toys were well made, hard plastic. They still stand the test of time !
Biker mice from mars was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This channel has become my favorite channel on TH-cam! TY!
Exosquad does not get NEARLY enough props. That was one of the most complex animated series ever. It had MULTI-SEASON STORY ARCS. This was about as innovative for the era as the Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk.
I just fully watched exo squad about a month ago. I haddn't seen it since the 90s and it was great
When I try to remember my favorite shows as a kid, Exo-Squad is definitely #1.
@@The_Collective Like Nathan said, it holds up well even over time. That show could use a reboot, sure enough.
@@vsgfilmgroup the original creator of Exosquad has announced that he is working on a reboot.
What about pirates of dark water? And I know this was from the eighties, but C.O.P.S. was groundbreaking!
Recently rewatched Conan the Adventurer and man that show was even better than I remembered.
It sadly came out in that forgotten era of kid's shows in the late 80s and early 90s. It deserves a spot on any top 10 cartoon list.
Agreed.
I was expecting Mutant League to appear on this list too! But this is great! Will definitely check out some of the shows on this list!
I miss this art style so much. Everything looks so simple now
Thank you for reminding me, it's 2021, we're the duck is my exo suit!
2119
Oh man, some serious gems on this list, and I remember most of them. I remember finding the villain of GI Joe Extreme especially compelling, far more so than the heroes of that show.
This brought back a lot of memories. Exo Squad is one of my all time favorites. But I think you may have missed one very edgy cartoon that was not for children at all "Mighty Max". may be on your next list.
This was my childhood alongside pirates of dark water, batman, gargoyles, mighty ducks, street sharks, inspector gadget and darkwing duck
The Conan cartoon was great. So underrated.
Agreed.
Yeah! Even better than Blackstar which was also good !
Wow, a lot of these shows look awesome, are badass and edgy. That's my type of animation. I've developed a new taste and love for 90s cartoons. :)
mention of exo squad and skeleton warriors earned a like and a comment from me. well done
@@arthas640 mhmm, finally we're at a time where you're not considered a "weirdo" for watching cartoons post-puberty.
Oh for the day of violent and action packed cartoons
Yup, you gotta go to anime for that now mostly.
Most "Western" animation is made for Tumblr/Twitter now.
@@Gruntvc Wish I could say you're wrong. 😔😢
Great video Marvelous Videos, I really enjoyed it!!
No Gargoyles or Swat Cats? I think this list is lacking a few greats that have been mostly forgotten
The 90s my childhood and these shows take me back there.
The new adventures of Johnny quest is a CRIMINALLY underrated show. Johnny quest could use a live action remake well maybe not anymore.... in modern day America is way to sensitive and would probably cry.
Preach brother!... Real adventures of JQ and Batman Animated series are the cartoons that opened my mind for the first time when I was a kid!
80's toons were by far the best, but Exosquad, Wildcats, Biker Mice & Savage Dragon were great. Little surprised the MIB series wasn't on here. It had a way more dark and serious tone than the films
Where's MUMMIES ALIVE?
The following shows were my childhood:
- Mummies Alive!
- Street Sharks
- Biker Mice From Mars
- Captain Power And The Soldiers Of The Future
- Beetleborgs
- The Mystic Knights Of Tir Na Nog
- Gargoyles
- Captain Planet
- Shadow Raiders
- The Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series
- Cyber Six
- Beast Wars
- Beast Machines
- Vision Of Escaflowne
- Monster Rancher
- Pokemon
- Digimon
- Redwall
- Spawn
- Voltron
- Reboot
- Darkwing Duck
- Gundam Wing
- Medabots
- Cardcaptor
Good list! Honorable mention, Big Guy and Rusty. I loved that so much.
how is ULTRA FORCE not on this list!?!
Some classics here!! I wonder if there is any videos about Visionaries? Or even Arthur and the Knights Of Justice?
Jurassic Park cartoon !
This video makes me appriciate 80s cartoons a lot more. Props on exo squad and conan
I gotta applaud that awesome Greta Thunberg joke. Subtle & effective
Great video!! Subscribed!
The maxx, spawn , aeon flux ....almost got enough for another video
Dont forget The Head
These series were way ahead of their time. If they came out again today, some people would scream. But in the end these series would be a hit.
I miss this shows. They don't even show these on Bloomberg channel.
Captain Planet.
@@lostinspaceandtime9591 🤮
Its weird i remember so many cartoons based on 15/18 movies, obviously conan, but highlander, the toxic avengers, little shop of horrors, killer tomatoes
