I’ve been tying since I was in the 4th grade. I’m now 46. I love your style of flies, and I watch all your videos. I’m into catching fish myself, and most of the time I’m fishing some simple pattern I’ve made up that most “great” tiers would scoff at. Thanks for the videos!

That's,why i try to keep it very simple and the best about it is all the flies I show ,including my own designs have caught trout.I hope you keep following the channel and anything you works like me to tie let me know again thanks fir watching and commenting Scotsbob
Great pattern. After many refusals from half a dozen lake brown trout on several patterns last month near Queenstown NZ I dug out an old “B and P” which might’ve been in the fly box for decades. Gave it a twitch in front of a 4 lb fish and he took first time.
Tom Ivens Black and Peacock Spider. A great fly and the first fly I ever tied at the age of 10 way back in 1972. Couldn't tie enough of them for my Dad and myself. Also tied Tom Ivens nymphs and Jersey Herd. Great flys. Great days.
@ No need to apologize, I grew up around a few Scots families and it brought up some happy memories I was able to follow you along “most of the time” lol

great stuff David come on this journey with me,i tie to catch trout and I've been fishing since i was 6 and taught by some master anglers on the rivers of Scotland ,I am a shit fly tyer but hey ho i catch trout is that not the reason we all tie and fish thanks for watching and commenting ,some new tying's coming up over the next 2 weeks easy tie killer fly's.
Hey your not shit , your flies catch fish thats what counts , i am new to tying and keep them simple i try to be neat but it never happens , keep your vids coming they will help me out no end , all the best ,David.@@troutcatchers
@jiefrog thanks at least somebody understands the flies i tie are are easy to tie for everybody and not some pie in the sky super fly that's is virtually impossible to tie and therefore nobody trys. Thanks for looking and commenting

I like it on my top dropper,but have caught with it in the tail position too.

I have them with red and green tags and they do well too.
