    I just did it with water and only konnyaku jelly powder. Added 1/4 cup of white sugar into the water to add sweetness. Worked like a charm and tastes just like the ones from the boba shop! Thanks for the great tutorial!

      @@ashleechan22 It's not crunchy like a pop boba but since this isn't made with tapioca starch, you won't get the same chewy texture as tapioca pearls.

    Hi I tried this recipe but modified it too my broke pockets. Firstly I used packet mango juice cuz my fam likes it. Then I wasn’t able to find agar agar powder. So I just used extra jelly powder instead. Then for the squeeze bottle, I just poked a hole in a plastic bottle. And lastly for the oil, I just didn’t use it. That resulted in the boba not being spherical but the taste and texture was there so it didn’t matter. Overall the taste was good and the idea was nice. Thank you

    I literally had this today from Kungfu Tea. I had to pay extra for these damn bubble balls. So I decided to find it on TH-cam. And viola!! This popped up. And I can’t wait to try it and stop paying extra for these crystal bubbles. Thank you for this recipe.

      Agar Agar, or “jelly powder” is seaweed based, it is flavorless and slightly more firm than gelatin which has a slightly metallic flavor and comes from bones

      Of course you can! Any oil will suffice, as the chemical reaction will be the same.

      You can either submerge it in flavor syrup after you finish making the bubbles or you can buy fruit extract/food color and add it to the gelatin mixture before you shimmer it.

      Many boba toppings can be kept in the freezer in a sugar solution. Might be worth a shot

      You can't freeze it because it will lose its texture. I usually just keep them in a jar fill with syrup and place them in the fridge.

      @@lipsohlips97 I used to live near a restaurant supply store so I got them for half the price compare to amazon package. But since I moved to a less crowded area, they don't sell these in local store so I had to make them at home. It's pretty expensive buying it online.

      Use an odorless oil like vegetable or canola. You need it so the balls don’t stick together.

      This "white boba" has become a popular boba alternative because it's lower in calorie and pairs well with fruit teas. The texture is not similar to tapioca pearls, but the shape is. It's like a more bouncy aloe vera.

    My mixture when pouring inside the bottle is starting to collide very quickly and when I try to squeeze it not create the shape of the pearl but more like a long chain instead.
    Does anyone know how to fix it?

      Cut the tip to make it a larger hole, squeeze gently once at a time, not too long, just tilt it and squeeze lightly, pause, then tilt and squeeze lightly, then pause, just like the video ❤️❤️❤️

    Does not make crystal agar boba like from boba shops. This recipe yields hard gelatin balls that crumble when you chew it. Not bouncy/chewy boba. You can even tell in the video when it is stirred. The balls are hard

      It's crunchy, not hard, if you like soft then add less agar powder, add more gelatin
