MDT has raised their prices over three time since this guy mad this video. I paid $599.00 for this exact chassis in 2019, Now the price is $1449.95, today on their web site. How does Covid infect aluminum?
It’s the effect of the collapse of empire. American wealth was a bubble. Now the value of the dollar is shrinking as people around the world dump it for other currency and assets not denominated in US$. Simply put, your money was overvalued and now it’s starting to fall to match its true value.
Yesterday I ordered 2 complete MDT LSS-XL GEN 2 chassis with the Skeleton buttstocks and all the accessories for my Remington.308 and my Savage 110 .270
Have the same but with a Pristine action and JC Custom barrel replacing my Rem. 700 Two more items you should look into is the vertical grip should be replaced with same but elite model , much nicer to grip and install buttstock dampeners that truly help with rifle vibrations.
If you're a fan of the MDT stuff, you can put your 6.5 creedmoor t/c compass in an ORYX! I'm going to do that project myself once my budget allows and I'd like to see your thoughts on it
6.8 Western is hands down the best round made in a long while! Its a short action rifle hitting magnum numbers! Its riding right there with the 7mm rem mag and the 7 PRC, but the 6.8 is a short action!! I do like the 6.5 PRC over all the other PRC rounds because we don't need any more magnums, the .300 PRC is really a joke, the .300 WSM literally can do everything it can do in a shorter action. I think these short action rifle builds are what people love and want! Everyone laughed at the 6.8 Western when it came out including me, until I realized Winchester posted that the 6.8 Western is the updated .270 WSM! We all know the .270 win mag is a perfect deer round, then the .270 WSM came out and just blew the doors off in a short action, now the 6.8 Western updating the round holds more powder even being a tad smaller, holding longer heavier projectiles in a tighter twist! The 6.8 Western is hitting 17% harder at 500 yards then the 6.5 PRC, I have the Christensen MPR in .300 Win Mag and love it! However I may sell the rifle and get a .300 Norma Mag and then build the 6.8 Western and then a .25 WSSM for smaller stuff or whatever predators that are out here in the west that comes in to the caller!
Where can I get these parts? I’m new to precision shooting. I want to learn how to make my own with proper training but I’m not sure where to start. My buddies have all made AR’s on their own but I think I’d rather have someone professional help me out and lead me in the right direction
I just bought a Bergara B-14 ridge in .300 PRC with a hinged floor plate. do I have to buy any conversion bottom metal or does the ess chassis make it compatible out the box?
Hey nice video, I was wondering if you could help me. I have a rifle my grandfather left me that I cherish. It's a remington 600 model and it's a short action apparently with a very lightweight ribbed barrel. It was the perfect hunting rifle for what he did with the gun. I am not a hunter but more of a competition shooter. I would love to be able to honor him and use this rifle by installing the action in a stock like this and rebarrel the action with a nice heavy .308 barrel and use it for range shooting etc. Do you have any idea if this action would fit in this stock? I would love to shoot his rifle in an awesome stock like this...thanks for any information you can provide.
Looks great! Not that you would but if you sell that factory chassis id love to have it. Good luck on the houses! Too bad yall got the short end of that dirt work.
All I got to say wow!!! I subscribed right away!! This is exactly what I want to build part by part!! Would I be able to get a parts list for every single little thing you have on yours? I would really appreciate it

+1 for Mason Leather, Fellow Vet and I'm proud to of bought from him several times. Quality products that aren't rushed just for another dollar.
Thanks for your service! Mason is awesome at what he does!

They are the best!
When adjusted all the way up, can the cheek riser be on the same height at the top rail?
