Great work Chip! I took a dieing azalea for free from the garden center skip in May. It turned out to be two when repotting. Now I have two beautiful healthy azaleas. I hope your work will pay off. 😀👍

This video came at the right time for me. My azalea is also suffering. It's in a pot, in the shade under some large elephant ears, but it is crispy and dying. It's been over 100 degrees these past two weeks. I was just going to throw it away but I think I'll do what your did and repot the thing and home for the best. Thanks for the encouragement.

We have azaleas in USA, Georgia...they dont like their roots crowded or buried deep..they like shade. Soil loose some sand in soil likes good drainage, not sitting in wet soil.

This is also the only complaint I possibly could have: to slow my old eyes to catch the overwhelming beauty
We may have to do this with our Nova Zembla rhododendron because he doesn’t seem too happy despite being in an “ideal” location. Fingers crossed for now. Pretty sure you took the right action with your azalea though because he was almost crispy.
