Great review Chris! I've gotten to the point where I've become far more selective in what I buy now thus quality over quantity. My selection would be the Four Gate and just take your time with it. Cheers buddy, good to see you back!
So we just splurged for this years batch 13 of this and will be reviewing. The price point is just so high we hope it delivers. Great review and channel. We look forward to watching more. Cheers!
Great head to head, Chris! Am on a rye kick lately and find myself gravitating to ryes a lot. Great unique flavors and a great occasional option to bourbon. Cheers brother🥃
Great review, good to see a rye under $100 hold up to a more expensive limited release. I think a head to head rye competition would be interesting. Maybe $50 and under versus above $50 to $100?
You mentioned 4 Gate releases you'd pay $200 for -- which ones? I also agree, the distillery taste offs would be great, as well as distillery head-to-heads. Great review.
Kelvon collaboration 2 which was the cognac finished was incredible. I was also a big fan of the split stave. I never got to try Foundation, but I've heard that is another great one too! Thx for watching!
@@Bourbinsane Seems like cognac, rum and Armagnac finished bourbons are really hitting the right notes lately. They're a little bit expensive, which does make it tough to try them. I really wanted to try the Bardstown Chateau de Labaude, but can't find it anywhere.

Absolutely! Cant disagree. Cant beat a great tasting whiskey. Cheers brother!
@@Bourbinsane Amen to that 🙏

🥃🥃I've been a fan of nearly every 4 gate release, price and availability are definelty the challenge for sure. Look forward to it!
Great as always.

For sure! Thx for watching Richie!!
When the world needed him most, he vanished.
😂😂this got me. I miss all y'all!
James E Pepper 1776 Rye finished in sherry cask is MGP 95/5 also, not barrel proof but I thought it was a very interesting pour
I will have to keep an eye out for that!
Great fair review. Just curious which four gate would you rank as your favorite?
Tough choice. I have heard foundation is great, but I havnt had it. Probably split stave. I love that barrel char that comes through!

Love the idea. Thx Guy!
Distillery blind taste offs would be awesome. OF, JB, etc.
You've got it brother!

Same. Still havnt been able to try that one myself either. Heard it is excellent tho
How does the Four Gate stack up to the Kentucky Owl rye batches?
I have only tried batch 3 I believe it was and I orefered the KO. I think the agree really added more depth, but honestly both were excellent!
I know it’s only 92 proof but what are your thoughts on the bulleit 12 yr rye? Was wondering if it was worth a pick up at $55.
I actually have never had it but I have heard it is pretty damn good for what it is. I would take the gamble at that price
And the winner is.....MGP! They seem to be making amazing stuff.
Yessir. Havnt really found an MGP I didnt like lol
That Four Gate is soooo tempting. That price tag though 😬
Couldnt agree more
Which pick is the snapper?
Rural inn
Bourbinsane That’s what I thought! I love that pick for sure.
It's good stuff!
I guess he quit drinking and starting going to AA
Nope. Luckily I know my limits lol. Instead I had 3 kids. Also need some recovery for that too!
@@Bourbinsanegood for you sir.
