  • "Here is a gray lady, an elegant lady, the queen of the deep.
    A sad lady, a silent lady. Are you now asleep?
    Can we learn from your sorrow to share?
    Teach us to understand, and certainly to care,
    but never again will there ever be,
    a gray lady, and elegant lady, slip unwillingly into the sea."
    -Roy Cullimore
    This is my first pass of my ambient dive footage compilation of the wreck of the Titanic set to relaxing under water ambient music for the casual and super Titanic fan alike. No footage has been repeated and offers an other worldly view of the wreck as it sits nearly 3 miles down under the North Atlantic ocean.
    All footage was found on TH-cam and taken from various dives over the years, most from the 1995, 1997, 2001, 2005, 2010, and 2012 dives to the wreck site. I do not own the footage and it belongs to its respective owners and used here in for historical education and calming ambiance.
    If you'd like to see more video's like this, please like and subscribe.
    Enjoy.

    Shipwrecks usually scare me but when I see her, I’m not afraid. It’s like she’s saying don’t be afraid you have nothing to fear I won’t hurt you. Even in the state she’s in she’s still beautiful. Forever long live RMS Titanic! Wish it was something more we could do to save you.

    Covered beneath layers of grime and dust, Titanic's beauty still hits you at odd moments: visible rows of wooden decking, open portholes once touched by man, rooms in ruin where lives were lived, even if briefly. She's an old lady now, but she still offers her stories and gives glimpses of her past if you're willing to look.
    It's heartbreaking to know she hasn't seen sunlight since 1912... some of her inner chambers are still hidden from view... but she's aging gracefully. Her doorways are twisted out of shape, her windows bent and broken, her hallways buried in rust and debris. She's a gorgeous house full of secrets. Haunted, maybe. Haunting? Surely.
    I can watch this footage forever... catching every detail of what once was and what could have been.
    RIP RMS Titanic

    The piece is very soothing. The family members of the over 1500 souls that lost their lives on the fateful night in 1912 would be very proud of you for picking a very soothing piece like this to go with this video. Just making a memorial flight over the ship and putting relaxing music is really breathtaking.

    I was a kid when they found it. I remember learning about it in school and watching videos. I was so fascinated by this book I had about it. Maybe it’s the beauty of ship before and after it sank. Maybe it’s the time period. It still fascinates me to this day. A tragic story and you can’t help but think of the people and what they experienced.

    It will always amaze me how much humanity treats this old Queen of the Ocean, almost like a human being, an old friend or family. Returning to Earth with her own micro echo system. She sits in pure darkness, and yet illuminates the ocean floor with her light, like a torch of love for us, guiding our lives through our daily struggle. Those lives were not lost in vain. They taught us how to better implement security measures. To not lose ourselves in our vanity and our arrogance, to humble ourselves. She’s my safe place when everything feels impossible.

    It still amazes me to this day that she hit the bottom in a perfectly upright position. It’s almost as if she fell to the bottom in God’s hand and he set her down. Stunning video. I want more. I always want more. I could stare at those chandeliers for hours. The hat and personal belongings still sitting there…gives such perspective as to the lives lost - each and every one of them. This ship will captivate our imagination for eternity.

    • @mindmatter623
      @mindmatter623  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The ship has been around relatively intact as it is on the floor of the ocean for 110 years. It is still pretty recognizable but it is accelerating and its deterioration. The interesting thing about the rusticles is that they are unique living organisms that seemed to have come to existence thanks to the Titanic. Like all things, it will eventually have to fade away into full Legend overtime. However this might not happen for another fifty years or so. Let's love her while we have her.

      Most did not go down with the ship. The life jackets kept people afloat. Unfortunately they froze to death. If it was summer when the accident happened, most people would likely be alive by the time the Carpathia arrived and be rescued.

    The ship is not a graveyard by any means. No one was trapped in the ship when it went down, they all froze to death/drowned on the surface. Cameron said there was a rain of bodies coming down on the wreck and that is complete BS.

    • @zms8092
      @zms8092 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Many that died drowning/frozen on the surface did indeed sink to the bottom where the wreck lies, which indeed, makes this a grave site. A grave site is a final resting place and this site was theirs. Also, yes, there were indeed 100s of people inside the ship when it went down and nobody will ever know how long they lived after the sinking.

    • @The_OneManCrowd
      @The_OneManCrowd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zms8092 Absolutely not. A huge storm blew through the area the next day and scattered the floating bodies for miles around. There's NO way those bodies stayed conveniently right above the wreck and then gently went straight down to where it is lol. Ever heard of currents? And no, there were not hundreds of people inside the ship when it went down half of it was already completely submerged by that time for over an hour. Do some research instead of watching the movie. It's 90% complete fiction.

      @@The_OneManCrowd Are you serious? Of course its a gravesite.
      They were people inside the ship when it goes down. Inside the wreck and in the debris field you can find a lot of personal things which belongs to people. Pair of shoes, glasses... Juewelery. These are the locations where the bodies rested. The bodies were decomposed in a few years after the sinking.
      Ask Dr. Robert Ballard who made the footage of personal things that belong to people. 1500 people died during the sinking. There was no storm on the next day in that area. The sea wasnt not calm as the days before. People were trapped inside the ship. People perished into the sea. Bodies with life jackets could be on the surface for hours, days or weeks.
      So bodies were everywhere from inside the ship to miles away. There is no: Only here or only there.
      Do some real research instead of talking bullsxxt.

    Whatta wreck whatta shame……
    I would’ve told people to rip the wooden doors off the hinges… remove the door knobs if possible….. use rope and tie their flotation life vest on one side of the door then lay on the other side of the door in the water. Find rope….. wire or string to hold people together in groups in the water so everyone could be found..
    At this point I would’ve deployed the life boats full of people who weren’t laying on boards/doors instruct them to paddle to the groups of people holding rope to make sure they didn’t drift out to sea.
    They had 2+ hours before she sank. Plenty of time to save just about everybody. And the sea was calm that night.
    That would’ve kept people out of the water till help arrived. They could’ve even used their mattresses. How many cabin/closet doors and mattresses were in the Titanic?
    …….. We could’ve even taken a bottle of Brandy out there with us. Get drunk and float around waiting on Carpathia to get her ass over here.

    • @ilokivi
      @ilokivi ปีที่แล้ว

      It's unlikely that enough tools were on board the Titanic to remove the doors. It took time for the crew to check the damage and conclude that the rate of flooding was too fast for pumping to keep the ship in a stable position. Approximately 2,200 passengers and crew were on board, therefore it is estimated that there were at least that many mattresses and almost certainly more doors. After colliding with the iceberg at approximately 11.40pm on 14 April 1912, Not until 12.26am on 15 April did Titanic begin signalling CQD. Immediately upon receiving this, Carpathia put about and made for the damaged ship's location covering 58 miles in four hours at up to 17 knots in total darkness into a known ice field.
