The family members of the over 1500 souls that lost their lives on the fateful night in 1912 would be very proud of you for picking a very soothing piece like this to go with this video. Just making a memorial flight over the ship and putting relaxing music is really breathtaking.

Just to end the debate none of you are physics major so shut up and sit down, you are out of your element. Secondly, officers and people on lifeboats saw the whole thing. They witnessed the ship crack in half and saw the ship pointing up as it sank. The two pieces were later discovered almost half a mile apart. If the physics point that it is what happened, then just take it.

"The silence". I've heard that before from people who were present for tragedies. After the Pulse shooting in Orlando, FL. people talked about the silence & how it was only broken by the sounds of cellphones of people trying to reach victims who were lying there

Shes one of the rich ones that watched the poor drown, she was a child I know, all she talked about was how terrible things were for her lol

So sad a kid has to leave and knowing her father was stuck on sinking ship and never seen him again smh… horrible for all the families that went through this

There's something about 70s/60s animation writing wise that conveys more humanity. Characters talk with casual tones, interrupt each other, loose themselves mid-sentence, have small talk & it doesn't feel a need to be over the top or overly polished

A quite interesting story I've heard about Ismay is that around the time "A Night to Remember" was released in November 1955 Walter Lord got a letter from England about the "remarkable finish" at the 1913 Derby in Epsom Downs. Craganour, the favourite, crossed the line first and was escorted to the winners' circle. Then, without a protest from anyone, it was placed second to Aboyeur. Craganour, Lord's correspondent said, was owned by Bruce Ismay, and I guess it doesn't need saying that after what happened the year before the establishment would never let an Ismay-owned horse win the hallowed Derby. Walter Lord then went to check the story. Everything turned out to be accurate except for one important detail. Joseph Bruce Ismay didn't own Craganour. His brother, Charles Bower Ismay, did. Still, Craganour remained second to Aboyeur. The reason? Craganour's original jockey had been replaced by an American one, Johnny Reiff. I don't know why that was but the move was immensely unpopular, and the discussions at the end of the race were a golden opportunity for the judges to discredit Reiff. Walter Lord, though, said that he still got letters afterwards still linking Bruce Ismay and Craganour together
