In this video, I discuss all the latest news surrounding Christopher Nolan's next film, including the confirmed castings of Matt Damon and Tom Holland. Are you excited for Nolan's next movie and what are your theories surrounding what it could be?
Cortex have you heard about it beating a remake of a movie called blue thunder. I use on Twitter was saying he and his team keep being Nolan is in contact with the LAPD aviation unit. If this is true I’m very excited about possibly futuristic version of blue thunder. The original plays in a lot of thieves of surveillance a police state and the dangers of technology all the themes that no one has done has expressed interest in doing it again. I’m a massive fan of your channel. Thank you for putting out your content
Excellent video as usual! I personally don’t think the genre will be “horror.” I feel it will be an “original Nolan idea” in a different genre…and a masterpiece that we discuss for years to come.
While Tom Holland seems like a major step down from the talent he usually works with, Nolan's team nearly always nails the casting so I'm going to assume this will all work.
You know one of Holland only flop movies was with cillian murphy just to make it clear over dozen box office hits and one of the few loses with cillan Murphy thankfully back when he was just a teenager
@@parsaalishiri8138fascinating you don't mention it was Chris Hemsworth's movie and he was awful. Cillian had a small supporting role lmao. Tom and Chris were the leads.....and it bombed along with 50% of ALL Tom's movies.
I mean I'd love to see Nolan and Villeneuve release in the same year, but the way the schedules are lined up I doubt it. Nolan releasing July 2026 and villeneuve filming Dune at the start of 2026, meaning he's likely to release in 2027. You never know though.
Great video! I'm intrigued by the part where you mention Nolan's interest in a Howard Hughes biopic. If Nolan did decide to cover another 20th century giant, Hughes would be a worthy candidate. The facts of Hughes life got distorted when a team of ambitious journalists tried to publish a fake biography of him in the 1970s. You've got Hughes' troubled subjectivity along with the blurring of fact and fiction. Sounds right up Nolan's alley!
Nolan has used ideas from his unfilmed Howard Hughes script across both The Dark Knight Rises and Oppenheimer. However, there is nothing stopping him from rewriting the ending and other aspects of the Hughes script so there is little connection. Hughes is such an interesting character. I love The Aviator, but would love to see Nolan's version, which I am sure would be completely different. How Nolan would explore Hughes losing his grip with reality would be very interesting. I'm sure Nolan would want to show as much of that from Hughes' perspective which could be quite compelling. The parallel between genius and insanity is a concept often mentioned in films but never has truly been explored.
You shouldn’t be so sure that it’s not a vampire film , I recommend people look at the origins of vampire and the fact and fiction behind it , the folklore to vampire is actually terrifying there’s also real stories like the Highgate vampire in London that would bite the neck of victims etc or the folklore to how they’d haunt you in you’re dreams so there’s many ways Nolan can tackle it by telling a true story that did exist making the audience think if it’s real or not people just hear vampire and they think of all the teen shit or the countless Dracula remakes
I have been meaning for Tom Holland to get pushed and tortured as an actor to grow as an actor. Christopher Nolan will change his career immediately!! 🌚🎥
Okay hear me out. Horror movie taking place during the Cuban middle crisis but it goes hot( I only say this cuzz of the JFK name drop at the end of Oppenheimer. Tenet did a similar thing with Oppenheimer so 🤷♂️
You could be onto something. Every movie Nolan releases has some sort of cutty tease for his next movie. Best theory I've heard so far is Tom Holland and Matt Damon are playing the same person in different decades. I have a feeling it'll be historical fiction with elements of horror and existential time stuff.
A vampire movie set in the 1920s seems too small an idea for Nolan, unless he'll focus on how Vampires experience time in their immortal lives, since time is a recurring theme in Nolan's work. One thing is for sure, if anyone can make a vampire movie fresh, original and mind-blowing, it would be Nolan. But I'm not convinced, especially with it coming from Gizmodo.
If they are going to cast a person to portray a younger Matt Damon, they really need to hire Jesse Plemmons. I'm curious if this is an original idea like TENET, an adaptation like OPPENHEIMER or a redo of an unused Hollywood scipt/idea like INTERSTELLAR.
Dracula and son. Or Nolan's own take on vampires. The question is, will this be more Dramatic or Horror based film! A futuristic take on this theme is also possible! 😊😮❤

LMAO that vampire rumor
@bennygerow Tell me about it lol

You haven't seen much of Tom Holland's dramatic work have you, got some homework to do, I suggest you start with LOST CITY OF Z.
@@adellis24 i should revisit that one. I watched it when it came out and remember liking it. But you're right, when I think of TH I think of Marvel.
I don't think Tom has been given a good chance to show off his acting skills, he has loads of small movies in which he is great

I'm always excited about a Chris Nolan film. Whatever genre, I can't wait to see what he does. Thanks for the video💜
Same here!
I’m calling it now: Matt Damon plays an astronaut who gets stuck in space and Tom Holland has to rescue him. 🤣
I predict Nolan and Villanueve will go head to head in 2026 or 2027

Do you mean for Academy Awards?
Nolan and Villeneuve are basically the Messi and Ronaldo of film making. I love them both!
Looking forward to hearing the specifics. I like your ideas. I think Damon and Holland playing the same man in different time periods works very well.
Tom was superb in The Crowded Room, so excited for this!
I’m always looking forward to the newest Nolan movie 🎥
4:30 The "or both" you dropped in there is the best way you could describe Christopher Nolan's work
😉

Nolan is such a craftsman, he never takes a break. It’s always what’s next what’s next

Great video ... I reallyt like what you do. Pro Tip: buy a pop filter for your mic ... listening to this with earbuds is torture.
Can't wait to see what he'll do for his next movie

Torture Tom Holland!
Would be interesting if he did a Nuclear aftermath story like The Day After or Threads. Especially after doing Oppenheimer.
Good theory.

Oh yes, we all remember the legendary Cuban MIDDLE Crisis, it was essentially the sequel to GOLDIELOCKS & THE THREE BEARS.
@@adellis24 hey man i hit a bong like 2 minutes before typing that :D

Atta boy, Tom!
Back to the Future: Part 4- a horror film directed by Christopher Nolan.
MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!!
Can't. Freakin. Wait!!!!
Apparently a lot of sources are saying it’s going to be a reboot or reimagining 1983 Blue Thunder.
I think he's adapting the fiction book "Voyagers of hell". Let's see how he experiments with horror
It could be a western/cowboy movie
Let’s goooooo

Do you even seen Jesse Plemmons? He look like Matt Damon dad he looks older than Matt Damon
@@sakuragi1062 He is also about a foot taller than Damon.
