- Ok, my friends, in this video we are looking at two of the most popular microphones on Amazon and TH-cam. The Rode VideoMic Go II and the Comica CVM-VM30. Both are on the more affordable side of high quality microphones, both serve a multiple of uses and perform very well in their best use cases while approaching their solutions to audio challenges in different ways.
This is not a sound comparison. There are many of those on both the Rode and the Comica that are excellent scattered about TH-cam for each mic individually. This video is highlighting the advantages each brings to specific use cases. Just my two cents from my use of both microphones. I consider both of these to be serious considerations for those looking to start to take their audio more seriously.

Hi have the comica vm10 pro, which i use with my samsung s22ultra its a brilliant mic and the sound quality is great,👍 lovely video my friend
Thanks for the support. I think the VM-30 is based on the VM-10
Could make comparison between vm30 and maono pd400x
Great video! I love the wireless options even if they are more expensive because setting up a mic with an XLR costs so much up front and more difficult to get the audio right. I will give these a look. Thank you 🙏
Both these mics have a lot to offer
The Comica is on sale on Amazon right now for $155!!!!
Comica good for bird/wildlife recordings?
Yes, with limitations. It's directional, but not like a long-distance pick up. But though I haven't used it this way, I imagine the gain control could make it very effective for birds at 10-15 yards and other outdoor applications.
Greetings! I choose a microphone for my phone, for recording a musical instrument I chose the rode videomic go ii and comica vm10 pro. The distance at which the recordings will be made will not always be close. What would you recommend? Is it worth overpaying for riding?)
I recommend getting something to put on a stand very close to the instrument. Sound will be much better no matter what mic you use.
