    I like the "burn an inch" tip. I just recently learned a different tip for measuring that but your way is faster.

    Thanks for this video! I just completed my next boxes. If elephants laid eggs this baby could support them! I'm using clamps from now on in all my construction projects. Thanks, again!

    Nice job. Future reference to those watching. For the nesting boxes, it's better that the door to get eggs is on the back and not the top to keep from scaring those laying. You look like a hawk when you come in from the top

    Hey - not even thinking about building a chicken coop/Cadillac coop or not.😆 However, I love the way you showed the pitch and purlins. That part i am very interested in and I am so happy you took the time to explain it. I have to fix a pitch for a flat roof to keep the rain off and I believe your way has been the best description/instructions yet. If I have questions, will I be able to reach out to you? I am excited because we are finally able to fix this water problem by pitching the roof. Its rough when a couple of women have to learn that no pitch means water sitting on the roof and its been a problem and we are trying to save the roof. Thank you for this great information. I love the eves and facia too. Thanks cool dude! You were a big help.

    Love this series and your chill/to-the-point way of explaining things. The cut before the "DANGER" annotation made me cringe. :-) For table saw novices - don't ever do a cross-cut using the fence. The cut-off piece can bind between the blade and the fence, causing it to dangerously kick back. Use a miter gauge or a cross-cut sled instead.

    Really enjoy your videos! You have illustrated some great tips.
    If I may offer a tip myself, you can build the out hang box first and then attach it to the shed, for an easier approach.

    How did you prevent water intrusion/leaking through the nesting box lid. On ours, I've been chasing a leak just where the side of my coop I built and where the nesting box lid meet. Anyway, I think I'm going to re-frame the inside top portion of the nesting box.

    • @JoeSimple
      @JoeSimple  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe I showed that portion in this video, possibly the next video (doing the siding). But I used an old pool liner as flashing, applied it under the siding and brought it down over the lids. If it's not in this video check out the next. Thanks for watching!

      @@JoeSimple Great idea. I have some thin rubber material, I might actually try that. Except I have 1x3 trim that is just above the lid, I can loosen up the trim and add the rubber material up and then come down and overlap the lid box. Thanks for the idea.

    So lucky the board did not shoot out with the lady standing in front of the table saw while the cut was being made...yikes!!!

    • @stickwallfarm
      @stickwallfarm 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The saw rotates towards the operator so there's only a risk of the board getting shot *back* towards the operator. Hence the term "kick back"

    • @charlesbucholz8079
      @charlesbucholz8079 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It would shoot in his direction not hers.
