So fun!!! We were just there in April and I already want to go back. We stayed just around the corner from St. Paul's, so every morning we'd pop out of our hotel lobby and BAM!!! There was this gorgeous cathedral. I fell in love! You definitely need to go inside. It's STUNNING and much more open than Westminster. (but yeah, no filming, just photos, of which we got MANY!) I even got a snow globe in the gift shop with little birds that fly around the cathedral like the one in Mary Poppins. I had to check it in my bag to come home, but it was nicely packed and made it home safely. A treasured souvenir. ❤️ I love the South Bank. I think the Elizabeth Tower looks gorgeous with the blue! 💙 Thanks for the fun walk!!
@@ananoguera Leonardo Royal St. Paul's. It was GREAT! Big room, awesome doorman, beautiful rooftop bar, SWIMMING POOL! 😳 and a great location. The price was reasonable for three of us. We were happy.

LIFE ON THE RIVER THAMES | Big Ben Must Do London Walk To St Paul’s Cathedral. Interesting and engaging video. I support your video. Watched the video on June 22, 2022 very like. Thank you so much. Have anice day
Hi Hannah! I am coming to London for the 4th time this August and I feel so much better equipped for my visit since I became a fan of your vlog. I always take a flat in Chelsea, as close to the Tube as possible, and then venture out from there. My "to-do" list has really expanded thanks to your walks - and your grocery-shopping vlogs are really going to help me out as well. Thanks for taking me along!
@@rhondalockrey9592 I really like the Chelsea area, particularly around Kings Road which has one or two of every store you might need. I hope you and your sister can make the trip - I'm always happy in London and I'm sure the two of you would have a terrific time!
Beautiful vlog! Hannah, you should receive the honorary title of Ambassador of Tourism for the excellent job you do. You and your amazing vlogs play an extremely important role and help a lot to publicize tourism in London. The Govt. of London should also provide you with a credential or a free entry pass to museums, palaces, castles and iconic places where entry is charged. Since the financial revenue collected by the Govt. from tourism owes a lot to you and other youtubers too! I would vote for that! Greetings from Brazil
Great Vlog Hannah! This one really made me miss London. Iconic places and buildings that literally millions have viewed over many many generations! I couldn't help but picturing my Dad as a young man from the Canadian Air Force visiting London during WWII as I stood and gazed at the exact same sites and buildings that he would have some 70 years earlier. He passed on 26NOV19 at age 98 - and - I have missed him every hour since! And that is just one reason why London will always be special to me! Thanks again Hannah - this one was very much appreciated!
Hannah, as always, nicely done. You sound great btw. Yea, Big Ben looks brand new. It really compliments what London is all about. I'm a real fan of that gothic architecture. Hopefully 200 years from now, they'll still be there. Keep up the good work. I'll be watching. Your friend Mike.
Hi Hannah, I am John. With Glenn I have been watching you & other special bloggers all through the Covid & the lockdowns. Shows like yours have kept us sane, Thank you.Hannah I lived in West Kensington for many years in the sixties up to emigrating to Australia in 71 & I used to spend my time selling, sunglasses, high class Danish cosmetic bags , Capucci Perfume & Aqua Di Selva (I am still using it) to high classes pharmacies in the West End. So I used to spend a lot of time trawling those amazing streets & by ways...... Hannah , I havent been to London since 2000 & would love, if you could find the time , for you to explore the streets , lanes, theatres & pubs off & around , Lower Charing Cross rd, (movie . 1987, 84, Charing Cross rd, Ann Bancroft & Anthony Hopkins ) St Martins lane. In particular the little 2nd hand book shops . not forgetting , The Salisbury pub (historic I know , but Maggie Smith in 1972 "Travels with My Aunt " lived in the apartment above. I occasionally used to drink there lunchtimes & it being their meeting place I often saw jobbing actors . Wonderful.. Hope you will consider my request as I expect you have many ex pats & future US tourists looking in. who would be interested in this area of the West End.
Love the warnings on scammers, thank you Hannah. My last business trip to London was 2000 stayed for 3 months never experienced scams pickpockets. Will go back next yr, will keep this in mind
I remember when the bridge was put in and it was swaying and they had to stabilize it. I love the walk from St. Paul’s to the Museum on the other side. I also took a boat on the Thames to Greenwich for lunch one day, which was interesting to see all of the developments that have occurred and how built up it is. When on that side of the River I also went to the Garden Museum for tea and a sweet. I found that very interesting too. I have only been in that area to visit a couple of times, because find the vastness overwhelming. Thank you for taking me there again.
Another wonderful vlog, this one filled with good advice, some history and movie trivia and of course great video content ! Glad to know you are doing better and looking fabulous! We were on the same page when I heard the New York song and was waiting for the singer to change it to 'old London town' but oh well. I did tour the Parliament in 2017 and I really enjoyed and learned quite a lot about the history and how it all works. Loved seeing where the house of commons and house of lords would debate/discuss. My favorite is walking around inside Westminster Hall ! Hannah you should go tour St. Paul's and especially climb the stairs to the top for some amazing views. Managed to get some terrific video even with the windy conditions. You asked if one would like to live near the River? In December I booked a hotel with a view of the River so looking forward to that. In May we were a stone's throw from the river/Queens walk (my fav area) as well. See ya next time !
Big Ben is such an icon, also Elizabeth Tower. It makes me miss London so much. I love your vlogs even though they make me miss London so much. Loved your new blouse
Enjoyed that. As for Elizabeth tower/Big ben , cost of restoration. Around 30 years back I was in India , a place called Bhim Tal (Tal is lake) . A local spotted me reading an English language newspaper. Up he came with 2 photos, "Big Ben" he said , the second "Buckingham Palace"Very good places Sir! Himalayan rural India. The money to restore has to be worth it. I was in a part of the world where chalk and slate is still used in Schools , yet London buildings are recognised. As for the suspension bridge, it will wobble, it is meant to . Happy days. Here's to the next :-)
I had a tour of Parliament back in the 80s. (Showing my age) At the time, if you were a youth group your MP would usually give you a tour. We were taken around by our MP and afterwards he brought us all a drink in the House of Commons bar (on expenses!). Our MP was future Prime Minister John Major!. Glad to hear you're feeling better.
Hi Hannah, thanks for taking us along on this vlog. I love watching different people on their channels giving us different perspectives on London. I've never seen the skate park before and the "book store" was also a new one for me. That's what I mean by seeing the different perspectives each of the vloggers bring. Thanks for the tip on the scammers on the bridge. Always good to know. I must say as soon the vlog started I already noticed your shirt. It looks lovely and the pink really suits you. I don't know if you've ever done a vlog on Borough Market? I would love if you a vlog on it. Show us all the yummy food and what is available and what it is like. Keep well and sending warm regards from South Africa.
oh it was a nice walk! reminded me of my first day in London (September 2, 2015) ... Every corner of this city is so different - that's why I love it so much ! thank you Hannah !! ! * and yes, I would also like to live on the river (in a luxury apartment 😂)

I love this kind of video just strolling along London with my friend Hannah lol. Thanks for showing us prices of things & your helpful tips. Appreciate all the time you put into making you videos. So many of us watching you are planning trips & you help us so much.
Hannah, this was a fun and interesting walk along the Thames River. You are great company! Years ago, a couple of my band mates and I were checking out the acoustics in St Paul's whispering gallery. It was a grey and dreary day. Out of the blue man came along and invited us to go up into the cupola. I accepted and went up as high as possible. There is a staircase that winds around between the timbers holding up the domed ceiling and the roof. I'm so glad, Hannah, you are feeling better. What a beautiful day! Take good care, Love.
Great vlog Hannah and it amazing to see London with all the masonry cleaned up. It's like a brand new city! You picked a perfect day for your walk and the South Bank is overlooked as a must see in London.💗
Little late to the party, here, but I'm coming over for the first time this December and plan on hitting up the Christmas festivals on South Bank and in Hyde Park, plus to see all the lights.. Hopefully you'll already have some pre-Xmas vids up before I get there so I'll know what to look for. Much Love from the States, Hannah! 💖
Hello from San Diego, Ms. Hannah👋 of course (with the high fuel and commodities prices making it difficult for me to travel at this time), thank you once again for taking me along to another wonderful tour of your beautiful country from my comfy couch. 😊
Hi Hanna, it is nice to see how much you love your city, make me wish to visit London! I also appreciate your sense for beauty and beautiful things, arhitecture for exemple. I wish you good weather and summer break.
I used to live on the river on the north west side of the Isle of Dogs by Canary Wharf. This was around 20 years ago. I had a nice big terrace looking west down the river from 4 floors up. It was a lovely location and a great view at all times of the day or night. The down sides were the party boats until the early hours, and the occasional mass insect invasion e,g. aphids. But I don't regret it. At that time of my life, no children, no plans for a family, it was an excellent place to live. And a 5 minute walk to work which is very rare in London !
Loved your walk. It was one of my favorite walks in London. Was there a little over a month ago. My daughter and her family are en route there, right now! I encouraged them to take this walk. It's fun to go through and look at our hometown with new eyes.
Thanks Hannah for showing us around London a bit a bit and it's great to see to tourists out and about and hopefully no more locked down....Have a fabulous weekend
I saw A Mid Summer Night’s Dream at the Globe replica. It was an excellent production. Seeing a play by Shakespeare in a theater that replicates how the people saw it when he was alive was pure magic for me.
Hi Hannah, wonderful vlog! I always love to hear your advice on what to watch out for! This walk was really very lovely, it felt like we were right there with you! I absolutely love the architecture, UK has always been my #1 place to visit! Always look forward to your videos. Glad you're feeling better. Thank you so much for sharing, take really good care of yourself, stay well! Have a wonderful weekend! Lots of love Kathy x 💖 Canada
Hi Hannah, I’m watching from all the way in New Zealand. Love these vlogs I feel like it’s nice to see a tour of London from someone who actually lives in London. I’ve never been to Europe but will be using your suggestions when I eventually come.
Thanks Hannah. I’ve introduced my husband to your vlogs and we watch together on TV whilst eating our evening meal. Back in the day, 1970 ish , we both worked at County Hall so todays walk was very familiar to us both. Lovely vlog as always
Wonderful vlog. I’m glad you are feeling better and your outfit looked beautiful! I felt so happy to see crowds once more and happy memories of walking around Southbank (pre Covid) came back. Thanks again for brightening my Saturday- from Australia 🇦🇺 ☺️☕️✨
Now that was a wonderfull walk around , living in ireland, i havent been back around that part of my home territory for a long time !! God i miss London. Thanks Hannah👍👍
I am so glad I came across your channel Hannah :) Me and my husband are going to London at the end of August for two days and we have a couple of things we want to do - definitely go to Harrords after seeing videos of yours, we have never been and we want to look around the food hall, it looks amazing! But we will definitely avoid the bridge with the scammers on, that's so bad of them, but they know tourists will fall for it unfortunately! Have you been to Spitalfields market? We went to Borough Market back in April which we really enjoyed, but we want to find more food markets/places to explore! xx
Thanks for taking us along on your walk. Last time we were in London we stayed around the corner from the eye. Loved walking along the river. We took a boat to Greenwich. In the words of Samuel Johnson "if a man is tired of London he is tired of life". Cheers Ron
Lovley to see you again( Hope you feeling much Beter ) wow Big Ben finally finished sure looks much beter Sure was Busy. The gorgeous weather Bringing everyone outside 😊 Wonderful video. Thank you for taking us along , have a Good week 🥰
My nearest tube station when I lived in London was Westminster. I love Portcullis House, but realise some people don't. You may possibly mean Lambeth Palace next to St Thomas' Hospital? I have been indide Houses of Parliament but you're absolutely correct the politicians aren't there all that often. You may find them across the road 😊 People go mudlarking by the Thames. Also some amazing sand sculptures there some days. Do go to the Globe. Had a great visit there one day when they were rehearsing. I think in a sense more fun than seeing the play 🎭 Thanks for the fun walk. Have you taken us to Greenwich? Oh those etched railings with landmarks were visible when I was there so I'm thinking one has weathered as you suggested.
Wonderful tour, very explicit, I grasped a little more of history, landmarks, and archictetual views. What's more is that I had purchased a set of bookmarks years ago for the beauty in the detailed archictectual work displayed, and the inexpensive price, but could not tell the location of the buildings. We all guessed it is the London Tower, now it has been confirmed! Thanks for helping us identify the landmark in the bookmarks!
Your looking great Hannah, so glad your feeling better, that was a fun video, lots to see and info too, I agree with you on the concrete buildings, Big Ben looks amazing, take care lovely. 😀
Glad to see most of the scaffolding has been removed. It looks magnificent. The blue clock face looks so much better than the black. You should take the Uber boat west towards Battersea Power station. There are some amazing restaurants and bars there including a Gordon Ramsay bottomless pizza place for £15 all you can eat. It's lovely sitting outside one of the restaurants and bars on a glorious sunny day like this overlooking the river and watching the world go by.
Hi Hannah. Your right about looking up. So many beautiful buildings. I lived not far from Tower Bridge 25 year's ago and there's so much more going on now. Great vlog. TC 💖
Lambeth Palace maybe was the building you were wondering what it was ? Or it could also be the old St Thomas's Hospital building on Lambeth Palace Road, depending what you were pointing to. I used to live in a block of flats directly behind St. Thomas's Hospital. You can see my old Flat, Stangate, at 7.30 to 7.46 peeping behind the Hospital ! My Childhood home 😍 the South Bank and St James's Park were my playgrounds.
Hannah! First of all i have to say you haven't aged at all!!! Who are these tactless people commenting on your looks?! They need glasses! The vlog was amazing. Loved your walk along the south bank. Nice to see people out and about enjoying the city. Thank you for taking us along.
Lovely walk hanna we did some off this walk on Thursday remember some off the places you pointed out we are tourist in London for couple days wed to Friday lovely city I keep watching your videos there great 👍 think you
Another FUN video walk....One of my favs....I want to go on the Mudlarking Tour one day....Nice to see St. Paul's....Been there for services....I'm a choir music junkie....Handel, Purcell, Tallis ,etc. ....Love the cute , jaunty music....TAKE CARE until next time....!!!!
Great vlog as usual. 60K!! Well done and well deserved. Absolutely love these little travelogs - you cover so much, and do things no one else does. Thank you!
At 6:00 I have been to a few in that marquee and it's got some pretty nice views of the london eye. The rooms above are the committee rooms where they do some televised meetings and it's pretty much a sauna inside. Great vid.
Had dinner once at the House of Lords - think it was a private dinning room - it was an experience. Good to see the tourists back in our city and good advise re the scammers.
Happy Friday Hannah xxx Thank you for another wonderful tour around London oh I could watch you all day. You have a lovely manner. Can’t wait for my next trip to London xxx Have a wonderful week xxxx
I love your guided city tours. I would love to explore the whole city like this, with lots of insider tips from local people that aren't in any travel guide. I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for this tour!
Great Vlog as ever, London always looks great in the sunshine. When I worked in London the fire evacuation point in the office I worked in was outside St Pauls. It was so embarrassing with all the tourists watching us whenever there was a drill, seeing it always reminds me of that.
I love your vlogs Hannah! You always get so much interesting and useful information in them. You make a great London tour guide for those of us who can't be there in person😊 I also love the music you use in your vlogs. Looking forward to your next video!

Thanks Hannah. I’ve introduced my husband to your vlogs and we watch together on TV whilst eating our evening meal. Back in the day, 1970 ish , we both worked at County Hall so todays walk was very familiar to us both. Lovely vlog as always
aw thanks so much for watching!
Lovely walk - thank you Hannah
Wonderful vlog. I’m glad you are feeling better and your outfit looked beautiful! I felt so happy to see crowds once more and happy memories of walking around Southbank (pre Covid) came back. Thanks again for brightening my Saturday- from Australia 🇦🇺 ☺️☕️✨
Many thanks Hannah. Another excellent video.
📷📸👍 Had never seen the arches - Cheers
Now that was a wonderfull walk around , living in ireland, i havent been back around that part of my home territory for a long time !! God i miss London. Thanks Hannah👍👍
How lovely to see the big Ben without scaffolding 🌹❤️. You look great Hannah as always
Hannah, thank you so much for the video. Great advice.
Yay glad to hear you are better 🙌Big Ben looks So beautiful now 😍
@Falcom Scott hi Falcom fancy seeing you here 😊
Thanks again for the tag along enjoyed it!
A very pleasant stroll along the Thames. If you are St. Pauls again, try to visit Postman's Park in King Edwards Street.
Glad you are feeling better and love seeing the Big Ben and all of the spots you showed
We went to Borough Market back in April which we really enjoyed, but we want to find more food markets/places to explore! xx
market vlogs soon!
I loved the shots from the movies you inserted and the music. This was so wonderful, I’m watching it again right now.
I didn't know you could use your oyster card on the boats! I've never done it and that would be a lovely way to see the city.
Uber/ Thames clipper boats!
Very enjoyable. Brings back many memories of just wandering around The Thames.🌸🇦🇺
Thanks for taking us along on your walk. Last time we were in London we stayed around the corner from the eye. Loved walking along the river. We took a boat to Greenwich. In the words of Samuel Johnson "if a man is tired of London he is tired of life". Cheers Ron
Such a great quote indeed....I was just there beginning of May and I can't wait to back! Cheers!
I'm not even a tourist ,I live in london lol but I always love going into the city its great and this video was really entertaining!!
Lovley to see you again( Hope you feeling much Beter ) wow Big Ben finally finished sure looks much beter
Sure was Busy. The gorgeous weather Bringing everyone outside 😊
Wonderful video. Thank you for taking us along , have a Good week 🥰
I really enjoyed the tour. I love walking along the Thames!
You may find them across the road 😊
People go mudlarking by the Thames. Also some amazing sand sculptures there some days.
Do go to the Globe. Had a great visit there one day when they were rehearsing. I think in a sense more fun than seeing the play 🎭
Thanks for the fun walk.
Have you taken us to Greenwich?
Oh those etched railings with landmarks were visible when I was there so I'm thinking one has weathered as you suggested.
Nice vlog. Thanks for the extra tourist tips! Always enjoy going on a walk with you.
Glad it helped!
Your looking great Hannah, so glad your feeling better, that was a fun video, lots to see and info too, I agree with you on the concrete buildings, Big Ben looks amazing, take care lovely. 😀
This was a fun video, Hannah! I laughed out load at the Wish Mickey 😂. Thanks for doing what you do.
please NEVER stop the videos!!! they really make me feel good, and love your point of view on things, till next week...
Yes I've been to the pizza place. Before my blogging days though
Thank you for the great tips. Your videos are very helpful. Love the close-ups of the architecture. ❤️🌿⚘️🌿
Hello lovely Hannah another smashing video 😊 love the comments “not everyone could be happy surely not “😂 😆
I think London is a very beautiful city❗️🇬🇧
Hannah! First of all i have to say you haven't aged at all!!!
Who are these tactless people commenting on your looks?! They need glasses! The vlog was amazing. Loved your walk along the south bank. Nice to see people out and about enjoying the city. Thank you for taking us along.
Enjoyed the walk along the River.
I loved this walk. I love all of them actually. Thanks for sharing your amazing city with us.
Lovely walk hanna we did some off this walk on Thursday remember some off the places you pointed out we are tourist in London for couple days wed to Friday lovely city I keep watching your videos there great 👍 think you
Big Ben looks so small in real life. That surprised me the most when I was in London.
all your videos are great but this one on a sunny day and all the places you visited is one of the best especially seeing Big Ben restored 😍
This is AWESOME as if I were there in London with you 😊Thank you!
Excellent tour and beautifully presented. Thanks and well done! 😀x
Great vlog as usual. 60K!! Well done and well deserved. Absolutely love these little travelogs - you cover so much, and do things no one else does. Thank you!
Thanks so much!
Loved this! Love how enthusiastic you’re about architecture and your city!
Think your filming is just fine. Thankyou. Also for the info about the street scams
Wow that really beautiful
Thanks so much for showing Big Ben. The last time I visited London it was covered and now it looks so beautiful!
It was so embarrassing with all the tourists watching us whenever there was a drill, seeing it always reminds me of that.
thanks for the vid hannah awesome as always and have a cracking weekend.
I love your vlogs Hannah! You always get so much interesting and useful information in them. You make a great London tour guide for those of us who can't be there in person😊 I also love the music you use in your vlogs. Looking forward to your next video!
thanks so much, it takes me ages to find music so I appreciate that!
