  • Discover the crucial mistakes to avoid in dog training that could hinder your pet's performance in our latest TH-cam video. Despite the hard work and dedication you put into training, certain approaches can lead to less-than-ideal outcomes. We delve into the top three pitfalls every dog owner should steer clear of:
Misguided Focus: Encouraging your dog to focus on you as their primary source of energy can interrupt the natural flow, limiting their ability to draw inspiration from their surroundings. Learn why it's vital to let your dog connect with external sources of energy and how to harness this for effective training later.
Premature Marker Use: Introducing markers before your dog has a grasp on what's being taught can lead to confusion and weaken the impact of your commands. We'll show you why it's essential to prioritize the development of technical skills and movements before integrating markers into your training regimen.
Unnecessary Stay Commands: Training your dog to stay in position too early in the process can actually slow down their progress. Discover why focusing on rewarding active, dynamic behaviors is more beneficial in the early stages of training, and how this approach can enhance your dog's performance over time.
By avoiding these common training errors, you're paving the way for more effective and rewarding dog training experiences. Watch now to learn how to optimize your dog's training and achieve the best possible results together.

For the average dog and owner, yes. For someone who's training a service dog, I NEED that dog to be focused on me and not his kibble, or anything else.

We have a number of students in our programs with service dogs. Food is a training step not an end result
