    i have a small collection of bibles/versions of bibles and nothing has been able to beat my grandfather's leather bound KJV. not because of the version so much, but really because as a pentecostal bishop his hands had put energy into the book for decades. what is impressing me so much about this bible you're showing is how it moves. it moves JUST like my grandfather's bible even though it is new. i'm not sure how i feel about the subdued red letter in this one yet, but because Jesus' teachings are what keeps me reading. thank you for showing this beauty.

    Schuyler makes excellent Bibles. I fell down the premium Bible rabbit hole several years back and I have a large collection I'm finally slimming down. I find I need the Deuterocanon though so I'm only keeping my Bibles with the Deuterocanon.

    Ah the Bible, the world's most popular occult book..if people only knew what was hidden in those stories. Interesting version. I use an interlinear Bible personally. I've found a lot of very interesting alternate translations that way but it looks very well made

      @@danielemacciantelli1788 that wouldn't surprise me at all. One shall burn themselves, in the fire upon the alter and receive the vision requested. This practice aids to separate, that which binds one to material and finally release the spirit to travel through the mysterious forests amongst the mountains, so that one may meet with the angels and truly understand, that the heaven promised to each of us, through our salvation in the Lord, is absolutely available to the souls with such faith! 🙏🌒🐉🌘🕊

    What a beautiful Bible. I personally prefer the ESV, it’s honestly very readable and flows pretty well. I’m no longer a Christian but I still keep my ESV Bible on my altar due to its familiarity and sentimental value. It also has some lovely prayers in it and can be a protective talisman. I keep another above my head on my backboard when I sleep. Cheers!

      @@FoolishFishBooks Oh that’s lovely! I might pick one up one day. I like the look of the Quentel in blue goatskin. I wish more books were floppy like some of these premium bibles 💔 They lay flat pretty well. If there ever was a Corpus Hermeticum made like that Schuyler, I’d buy it in a heartbeat
      Keep up the content, I really enjoy your reviews and I’m so honored to be on this journey with you!

    Your comment about the comfort print from Zondervan is spot on! I have a premium bible from them and it's great other than the comfort print. I cant stand it. Lol There is something about it that i just cannot get over. That font is the only reason why i have $150 bible collecting dust.

    My favorite description of the ESV is
    "It's the NASB without semicolons."
    It's definitely the most reasonable of the word-for-word translations.
    I will be looking for that blue edging if I buy one, it's a nice a change from the normal metallic colorings.

      @@FoolishFishBooks The NIV has a serious translation problem on (Deuteronomy 22:28-29). The NKJV is a better translation.

    • @Sapientiaa
      @Sapientiaa 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FoolishFishBooks The King James translation was done by 47 scholars, all of whom were members of the Church of England. In common with most other translations of the period, the New Testament was translated from the Textus Receptus (Received Text) series of the Greek texts. The Old Testament was translated from the Masoretic Hebrew text, while the Apocrypha was translated from the Greek Septuagint (LXX), except for 2 Esdras, which was translated from the Latin Vulgate. In 1769, the Oxford edition, which excluded the Apocrypha, became the standard text and is the text which is reproduced almost unchanged in most current printings.

    Think of the image of a supremely wise man who can perform resplendently wondrous acts of miraculous supernatural power. He carries a staff, has a white beard and has long flowing robes with a hat covering his head...what image came to mind; Gandalf, Professor Dumbledore, Merlin...or Moses with the Staff of God, The High Kohen in the Temple, or The Apostle Paul on the road to Damascus? The book of Enoch was the first Magick book ever written and it, among other things, describes the Alchemical Process of Enoch ascending the Tree, completing The Great Work and Transmuting into The Archangel Metatron. Amongst the earliest depictions of Jesus are of him raising Lazarus from the dead with a Wand. The parable of the mustard seed is an Allegorical explanation of The Tree of Life; particularly that of The Seed of Life, the Holy of Holy generative force that always was and will ever be; the source of our consciousness. Which is not our brain but our heart, the electronic-kinetic power of our heart is what powers our brain which is the receiver - "do you not know that the Kingdom of God is within ye?" The entirety of the Universe is both within and without you at the same time, everything we perceive as outside of us is actually inside us. This is the True Gnosis of The Sacred Heart of Jesus, our heart is our point of The Singularity. It is our little head's Below to our big head's big bang Above, it is both Within and Without at the same time - Above So Below, As Within So Without. It's the passion that drives the focus of the intention which forms the will; that which we care about, love and adore we think the most about and we invest our attention into - and energy flows where attention goes. The words of The Lord's Prayer begin with "our Father"..."our Father" not "my Father". Jesus was the Living God Incarnate on this Earth, and the Holiest of Jesus' Teachings is that there is absolutely nothing extraordinary or exceptional about him in this regard that is different from you, me or anyone else. If you are reading these words you are the Living God incarnate. A sacred collection of the world's oldest and most powerful Grimoires written by Master Magicians, about Master Magicians to Instruct Master Magicians The Holy Bible...my absolute all time favourite book of Magick! 😁👍
