Congrats from another horsey girl with non-horsey parents, who also found her path to her storybook horse by a chance meeting with a wonderful equestrian at a local fair.
I've never gotten to ride a Swedish warmblood, but my husband and I were in Stockholm once, and we wandered to the castle in time for the King to arrive in carriage, and he was escorted by so many Swedish Warmbloods, they all looked stunning. My husband remembers getting a pic where it looks like the King is waving to him. I remember the horses!
I've never heard a Finn say that Swedes knew how to do something, but there's a first for everything! Can't wait for you to meet the plucky little Finnish Universal!

As a Swede, I've ridden quite a few of them and I have to say their personalities. They're also very versatile and generally a sound breed. The dressage horse with the longest career as an international dressage horse is Björsells Briar 899. He was a dark liver chestnut stallion with large white markings, whose father Magini was an international showjumping stallion. After his stallion test, both the showjumping test rider Peter Eriksson (who at the time competed his father) and tbe dressage test rider Jan Brink wanted to keep him. Many of the mare families and stallion lines in the breed have produced top horses for both showjumping and dressage.

My beloved mare was a Diploma SWB. We did dressage and trail. She was sweet, smart and so willing. I miss her every day. She lived to 32

Flyinge is great, and I especially like how it's open to the general public to come visit and just walk around and see the stables - at the same time as it's both an elite training center, a breeding center and a university (part of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences). We used to go there sometimes to look at the horses, and also at the many storks that are nesting on the roofs. There are also many different public events going on throughout the year. Several of Sweden's most famous show jumpers, such as e.g. Rolf-Göran Bengtsson also live nearby.

Huge congratulations Alyssa on your 100th breed! You are living the dream and sharing it with us all and that's soooo fun! And, just in time for Canadian Thanksgiving, too!! Yep, we celebrate it on Monday!! Honestly, I'm not that familiar with Swedish Warmbloods.. there are so many warmbloods from various countries. It would be interesting to have a pic of them all together to compare. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, may God bless you again. xx

Class? Discipline? Same thing or different from one another? So confused on those two terms. 😕 Nice video, been watching these nonstop from all the horses you encountered with. You're lucky to meet the different breeds of horses. 😁 Congratulations on your one hundredth breed. 🏆

    • @Coptergirljs

I got your message about Haflingers. I'm excited because my horse Yogy was a Haflinger. I did not know what he was until a few years ago on you tube when I started watching videos on horses and the Haflinger came up. We got Yogy from an auction and loved his build; stocky with big feet good for trail riding in the rough terrain of the Maine woods trails. We never ever saw him stumble or trip up like the other horses. He hated being under saddle though. One day a friend came over and we were discussing what Yogy was. I thought: He looks like someone bred a Belgian with a pony; but how? He had big feet, strong thick legs; but a pony type head. This friend said get a harness and see what he can do. Wow! What that small horse could pull was unreal! He pulled full length Canadian Hemlock trees which were green about 2.5 to 3 feet in diameter (hemlocks are very heavy trees and used where there is water exposure) with mud up to his belly and I was stuck in the mud and had to put my arm in the britchen on the harness. He pulled it with ease; no need to drive him either, he never went in the road and would pile the logs for you also. Someone spent a lot of time with him. Unfortunately after selling him and little star to some friends down the road they didn't take care of them, which we didn't know at first and Yogy got loose and into some pine needles and bloated; I was with him when he died. I never got over it. I'm always waiting patiently for the next horse adventure and I enjoy them very much. Thanks for the videos!

I think the horse gene is recessive,it pops up after a few generations.
