First I would like to say that I have every product Olaplex makes (besides this one), & absolutely love all of them! I was wondering if brunettes could use this product to help with unwanted orange hues? I’ve asked 2 different Olaplex representatives on Instagram about using your purple toning shampoo on brunettes that get some orange-like hues in their hair, & received 2 contradicting answers. (My brunette sister has used it for the same type of orange hue like myself, & she said it worked very well). One representative said it is only for blondes, but the second representative I asked on IG said I could absolutely use it to help get rid of the orange hues that some brunettes have naturally, or get after being in the sun all summer. Can you please clarify whether you recommend this for my particular situation? Thanks & Happy Holidays ❣️💚❤️

@@halfofmyheart3167 Our apologies for the contradicting answers! 4P is purple and will only tone unwanted yellow in blonde hair. If you have brunette hair and have unwanted orange tones, you want to us a blue shampoo, as blue cancels orange. We are glad it worked for your sister but unfortunately, that's not the case for all. i bought the toning blonde conditioner instead of shampoo and my hair literally became as soft and lush as before bleach and so much cooler and ashy. i couldn't believe it. it looked like l just got out of the saloon. and my hair was getting all hay-like and yellowish after 3 weeks post hairdresser and this literally reversed all. best 29 euros l ever spent. absolutely worth it. the formula they use really does something to the hair, making it so much healthier. i use it in combo with TIGI shampoo (the green bottle). it is absolutely perfect.
So glad to hear that because I too just bought the Olaplex 5P conditioner and can't wait to try it out. I suffer dry, color treated curly long hair that is a medium ash blonde. My color is brassy though and really not at all ashy looking even though it's supposed to be so I'm hoping this toner by Olaplex helps.
Great video! You read my mind: I would also love a purple-toned oil and even a purple-toned mask with all the benefits of their regular products! I hate that the oil is so yellow, but it is a nice oil. Thanks so much for doing this.

I have light blonde hair and the oil doesn't turn my hair yellow 🙃
@@cindyolson Yes, you're right. It doesn't really leave a noticeable yellow cast, but just worried that over time, it could.
I've used it for a long time practically like every single day & it never caused yellowing in my hair. It pretty much just washes off when you wash your hair. I love it best hair oil I've used so lightweight & leaves my maid feeling amazing.

Love you videos and honest! I do like the purple shampoo by olapelx. I use it and rinse and apply no 8. I will try next time adding no 3 and i don’t own no 5 since i love how no 8 works for me!

Yes yes yes 🙌🏽 This shampoo IS 100000000000% worth the hype and the price.
One wash and you’re toned. Period. I did one round bleach to touch up my roots and normally purple shampoo does NOT do the job without toner but THIS is a godsend. A literal miracle !!!
It is more blue than purple which is way better for fixing brass anyways. And IF you rinse and there’s a tinge of blue DONT FREAK it WILL fade in a couple days to white.
If you’re still second guessing don’t. Go get it now now now now nowwww girl now. 💜
It works better on my hair but I guess my blond is cleaner from the start. I leave it for 5 minutes and my baby blond is back. So nice to have it when it’s sunny outside. It does not dry the hair at all. This shampoo is a miracle
I used the purple shampoo last week and I felt it dried my hair out a lot. I wish they would make a 5P (purple conditioner) instead of a 4P (purple shampoo)...

Justo estoy viendo el antes y el después y veo qué hay un tono más cálido en toda la imagen del antes 🫣 a little deceiving. La pared se ve de un tono mas cálido, el maquillaje y el tono de piel también se ve mas “naranja”. Esa edición me da mucho que pensar sobre los resultados reales.

It can get expensive and overwhelming. But you don’t need all of them.

Hola Roxana! Hay que clarificar periodicamente. Clave para mí fue descubrir eso y no abusar de nada. Todo en baja frecuencia.

I tried the Olaplex purple shampoo and didn’t like it so much as their normal shampoo. It doesn’t lather up as much at all no sure why I might try mixing them

I do it every two weeks. Sometimes 3 weeks. More frequently during summer. Less during winter. But some purple shampoos recommend use up to 2-3 times a week…. Which is too much for me.

Can I use this while I have sewn in blonde hair extensions?
Be careful extensions soak this up really easily and make your hair kinda purple so make sure to talk to your stylist about what you can use for your care along with the purple shampoo to prevent it :D

There’s not a purple conditioner by Olaplex yet. But while we’re waiting checkout L’Oreal Silver or Kerastase Blond Absolut hair mask.

You do know you use number 3 BEFORE you shampoo and condition. It's a PRE treatment that can be used alone or with number 0

Wow you use handfuls of this stuff! Isn’t their saying “a little goes a long way ”? Then you need to shampoo after you shampoo with purple!? I’m so confused.
