Yes you do of course have to hone your skills and refine it which is clearly seen in the video especially on the high notes but they still have the good foundation to support it

There are so many wonderful little details in this video. When the pianist and bassist look at each other like "we're killing this", when the drummer hits that super satisfying high note in the harmony, when the singer with the glasses looks with admiration at the pianist killing that solo. There is a great harmony with 4 different voices ( which is hard to do just live with that setup) and not through overdubbing Paul Simon 4 times singing in a different key. But most of all it was just a compliment. And in my opinion a better rendition than the original.
