Josh Turner obviously brings something special to the table as an arranger & director. Everyone who appears in his videos seems to be doing their very best work then.
Josh just slides in to any one, or any group, of musical geniuses and makes the recipe divine....... and always has a blast doing it. It's total musical joy. We are so lucky to witness it.
That's probably my favorite thing about these videos - they make it seem like there's this secret society of great young musicians HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT. And they're all buddies.
I have lost count the number of times I have watched this video. It gives such joy to watch each and every one of you enjoying yourselves so much during this recording. I love it, love it, love it and makes me..... just feel good. thank you all.
There are so many wonderful little details in this video. When the pianist and bassist look at each other like "we're killing this", when the drummer hits that super satisfying high note in the harmony, when the singer with the glasses looks with admiration at the pianist killing that solo. And everyone is just having so much fun. I keep coming back to it. Great great great work!
@M Mac they're young.. they have good ears and they can harmonize pretty damn well.. I was born in a musical family my mom and grandfather and aunts sing and play more than one instrument and I tried to sing ever since I was 10 I'm 22 now.. lol no results unfortunately.. I just don't have the range nor is my ear strong enough to listen through multiple layers of notes which is why I made my first comment. Yes you do of course have to hone your skills and refine it which is clearly seen in the video especially on the high notes but they still have the good foundation to support it
Richard Kilroy I love this video so I’m not trashing it. But for what it’s worth, this was edited to a degree. Notice the guitar isn’t synced up to the video ;)
@@imannonymous7707 Ah, I'm probably wrong. Internet issues yesterday so I guess all of the audio was out of sync. And 2:09 sounded like guitar but it's just their lips.

That was tight. Great vocals. As always, Josh amazes on guitar and it's inspiring to see how much fun he has performing. I loved his opening opening riff and Adam's keyboard solo.
When I was that age and got together with my friends, we got stoned and stared at the ceiling. These guys get together and create something fun and special. Well done, guys.
One of my absolute favorite S & G songs. And you've managed to make it better than the original. You are seriously awesome musicians. Thank you for sharing your music with us, this song just made my day!
@@tsfurlan It's called giving a compliment. But if you want to go into the nitty-gritty, there's no sax solo but a nice piano solo. There is a great harmony with 4 different voices ( which is hard to do just live with that setup) and not through overdubbing Paul Simon 4 times singing in a different key. But most of all it was just a compliment. And in my opinion a better rendition than the original.
Yes indeed!! Takes me back to being 6 years old, riding with my dad in his VW Bug, and listening to this song on his 8-track cassette player. Well done guys!
