After all these years playing this game, I never knew that pulling the lever twice in the slog run in Bonewerkz, stops the incoming slogs. Very cleverly done using 2 sligs on that part.
Yeah it was great for you telling me some strats that managed to save 40 seconds from the previous TAS! Now we know that Mudanchee first is faster than doing Mudomo first. Maybe I should try that in my Oddysee runs doing Scrabania first.
@@idklol7594 just takes practice and knowing how the trick works. TAS (Tool Assisted Speedrun) runs are not so much a challenge to others, but a teaching tool that shows what a frame-perfect run would look like. they're also a pain in the ass to develop... i can't imagine how long it took to implement 2 hours worth of (almost) perfect inputs, lol
The intended action was to run away from the ledge as part of the "hoisting through the floor" glitch set up. banging into the wall was merely an unavoidable consequence of this
1:08:22 you can just tell the slig to "do it" to take the elevator back to top without you and just skip the slog wave, not sure if it would be faster tho
It's a hidden well. The one you burst out after shutting down the last boiler. It still act like one on a certain spot (like we saw there) Only works when you jump from that ledge. I tried it myself and it works.
I know this is impressive and all and has its rightso f existence, but are the "speedruns" that do not use glitches? Isn't there anyone interested in this?
They call it "Segmenting" it's kinda cool I guess because it's like taking a shortcut but at the same time it ruins the fun by having certain puzzles appear to be less challenging

All that raging for nothing :(
@@rvreqTheSheepo You got that right sir🤣
27:55 Can't blame that guy for giving up in that situation.
😂😂😂
Ay first I thought one of the TAS guys gave up and switched with another guy, but now I understand 😂
Very happy to have helped on that TAS. It was a pleasure!

2:05:38 oh come on!
This is my jam
This TAS guy is crazy good at games. Soulstorm worth the buy btw.
Dude, he's so good I even think its being played by an AI.
Jesus what a playthrough
I love this game so damn much. *edit* ALL of the Oddworld games were pretty rad tbh. Including Strangers Wrath and Munch's Oddysee.
loved strangers wrath... i liked munch's oddysee, but it made me want to pull my hair out at times, lol
The paramites diving at each other to death always made me laugh as a kid
uh in what timestamps?
oh do you mean 41:15? they didnt die as they landed on platforms below that…
Game of my childhood i love this game
Bone grinders don't exist if you do not see them
How he was able to exploit so many glitches is crazy
Out of the tricks used in this speedrun, the only one I can pull off is the ledge glitch.
I can't pull off any of the tricks-

**Sligs try and shoot Abe**
Abe: Stop it 😒
Oddworld is really about us as a story, Oddworld inhabitants are we ahah.
1:39:17
Let us show you the dance of our people.
1:12:42 you don't even need to do this, Abe can jump over it
if they made Abe jump over that trapdoor, the glitch at 1:13:23 wouldn't have been possible (1:12:58 - jump through the walls glitch).
@8:46 when he bangs into the wall, was that intentional?
necessary to activate the "get through the floor"-bug in the next screen i think

@@CarazyGibbon ooohhhhh, i was wondering why that would have been left into a TAS run. thank you for the info!
you can punch the sligs???
Yes you can sir. Use it as a quick getaway
more like a slap
Man you are insane

You make it look so easy.
Badass!
Is this Abe thingy screaming "Давай!" or is it just me hearing things?
just you
The glitches (like where you can just fall through a platform) are rediculous
1:04:02
Excuse me what
It's a hidden well. The one you burst out after shutting down the last boiler. It still act like one on a certain spot (like we saw there) Only works when you jump from that ledge. I tried it myself and it works.
Also if you run off the bottom right ledge
nice Tas, keep going bro
Wow fuck me, insane movement
Real Game. Real Time.
1:32:12 too funny
Didn't know you could slap em
1:19:33 lmaoooo
Wasn't this originally a game about Mormons going to any length to deliver copies of the new testament?
I know this is impressive and all and has its rightso f existence, but are the "speedruns" that do not use glitches? Isn't there anyone interested in this?
Good
Easy mod. ?
difficulties doesn’t exist in this game and you cant mod games on ps1
I think that’s a hack or something what he did

prove it.
@@bjrntnnesen9207 oh yeah I’ll prove alright I’ll be watching the whole thing for what he’s doing ooooohhhh yees

You obviously use imortallity cheat. But anyways it's a pleasure watching you playing. Fucking awesome!!
nope, just a really good TAS program that abuses screen transitions
edit: unless that was the joke... in which case, sorry i'm an idiot, lol
