Do your own maintenance, its so easy. The belt tension is easy just need a 36mm for rear axle and then check the tension with a belt tension tool 10lb then just udjust to spec

Jiffy stand = Kickstand. I think the service is worth it if you know nothing about bikes. They are supposed to check all critical fasteners and go over the entire bike. Make sure nothing is loose or wearing improperly. It’s good to identify issues at 1,000 miles and have it documented.

My son just did a 15000 mile service on a 1200 at the dealer, $ 430 bucks. $ 90.00 dollars worth of parts , $ 160 dollars an hour for the technician. SMH
I would recommend the owner does the 1000 mile service himself at zero miles. You will always find issues, metal in engine oil, lose fasteners, electrical cable incorrectly routed. Some parts on closer inspection may even be warranty issues.

I just paid $475 in Florida. 1K service for my 883 (2022). I honestly thought it would cost even more!

That’s fairly cheap compared to the dealership I just bought my bike from, they want $570.00 for a 1k service.
