Exquisite! I really do enjoy these story telling interviews. They're full of embedded facts, but always accompanied with hows & whys, so they're never dull, always interesting. You always give credit to, and I just love those old skilled guys You found. They managed to take Your Zephyr to the next level.
Glad you enjoyed it - I very much appreciate the encouraging words and you taking the time to express them. Trying to get better and better and people like you give me some extra fuel!
I enjoyed seeing the the finished car and all the detailed explanations of what was done to make it function better, be curable, and have newer parts that are readily available. A question I have was it upgraded to 12 volt and what about the cooling system? I heard these V12s had overheating problems. Also were improvements made on the headers and engine internals on the rebuild to give it more horsepower and torque? With all the changes made what is the engine's current horsepower?
What a beautiful car! The paint is gorgeous! Do you mind me asking what kind of protection is on these beautiful paint jobs, and when they get dusty what do you use to wipe them down without causing micro abraisions? Ive got a paint job that needed to be polished twice to remove microabrasions ('swirls') and i want to change how I protect the car. Hoping you may be willing to share some advice.
JB and his team are more about fabricating and building, and not particular experts at preserving. I will say he likes to spray a car down with compressed air before doing anything else, to harmlessly remove a bulk of the dust/debris...
To say the design updates were to follow the original designers idea is absolutely amazing.
Beautiful,
Many many thanks
Great paint. And of course a V12 flathead is a thing of beauty.

It hasn’t been dyno’d but it’s smooth, starts up and cruises nicely and that was the goal.
Thank God it’s got the right engine, if you want too kill it’s value put a GM engine in it!
That is very true in this case for sure….
