Congratulations on a fabulous outcome on an intricate and challenging project. The mechanical solutions and esthetic decisions dovetail in a beautiful machine.
It seems like the check valves in the newer replacement mechanical fuel pumps are not doing as good a job of holding the fuel between the pump and the carburetor as they used to do. This might explain why so many more people are installing electric pumps between the engine and the tank.
Another fantastic Lincoln Zephyr V-12 video, thank you gentlemen. I know what you mean about those passengers, though. Goddam thieving swine, the lot of 'em.
It's a beautiful car indeed....I like the channel.....but the guy driving the car goes on and on about so many details.....a few less details please......let's get driving!!!
That's true. It really depends on the owner and their level of risk taking. Many classics are upgraded especially in the braking and handling areas for safety. If you're going to drive, or importantly let novice family/friends drive, it's very justifiable. If it's going to just sit there, no reason to touch it.
@@BarryTsGarage I can see converting to Juice Brakes on a pre 39 FoMoCo car, as they still had mechanical brakes, but there is no need to "upgrade" the handling. These and most other American-made cars were made for RIDING COMFORT, NOT SPORTS-CAR HANDLING. If you don't like the way a car drives in STOCK FORM, find something else to buy - maybe a 2 seat T-Bird, or a 50s/early 60s Corvette? Both great cars, and gorgeous as well. This butchering of classic cars has destroyed the hobby. Stock-spec cars are now exceedingly rare and price out of reach for all but the rich, thanks to guys with your attitude. Classic cars should be kept STOCK, both for Real Classics and popular classics.

Thank you very much!
Amazing to see this on the road! 😮
We talk a lot about the neutral safety switch because this car was modified discretely to automatic transmission which was not available in 1938…
Ford was behind GM then too!
Here in NY alcohol -free fuel is available on a county by county basis. I use 100 LL for winter storage. Alcohol is evil.
What about a check valve in the fuel line.
Couldn’t hurt

Fair enough!
Can't find an electric fuel pump that work's with alcohol 😂😂😂😂😂
I think he was talking about when it’s been sitting for many months. Thanks for watching!
I would like to buy said car i have no money but a real nice 89 honda accord
So you put a automatic transmission and made it a piece of Crap
So I’m guessing you have a preference for standard transmissions
Should have used original
Piece of crap?😂 GTFO
Classic cars should be kept STOCK.
You modified a very rare car. Not a good thing.
Depends on if you still want to drive it…
Plus almost all changes can be easily reversed… 👍
@@BarryTsGarage You don't have to do all that to a car in order to drive it.
