Xt. My first actual mtb had an xt, My bike now has an xt. If I can, I'll always use xt.
Actually this is my 3rd xt rear derailleur, the previous one broke at the start of this year. The clutch broke

Slx, because i dont have much money, but it would be really cool if you would compare the slx to the deore m6000 because it also has brakes and shifting bundle, vut its way more cheaper, and the choice of many jung people with a low budget
      Thanks

I don't get this, SLX is just a bit longer lasting XT. Nothing else, depending on the rest of your bike it's a visual thing and M7000 looks better then both new ones on my setup.

ran both derailleurs on my Trek fuel ex 7, ran the SLX M7000 11spd derailleur and SLX shifter for a few months and my biggest dislike on the SLX was chain drops, it did shift smoother but it felt sloppy you could say, went to the XT M8000 11spd derailleur and XTR shifter and WOW what a big difference it made! its been a great combo so far for the last 6 months, no more chain drops, while the shifting left tighter and stiffer it was way more precise just instant changes now :D

Weight aside (which is ridiculously high for each of my three bikes because I'm heavy myself and simply don't care if it's 11 or 17 kgs), what is the difference between those drivetrains.....

Let's quickly do a summary what shimano gave us with their 12 speed drivetrain.
-We've got two gears up front! Totally need that!
-Anyone want to put it on your bike? Now you need to replace brake levers and install new hub which is really hard to get.
-Want to get XTR rotors with double price of XT rotor? You know what is the difference? Just a black paint on fins! Everything else is the same
-New pad standard! Another things which is hard to get.
Now let's focus on things we didn't get...
-New bottom bracket standard... Why we can't pay more?
-Anyone heard of cartridge bearings? They are really cool and need almost no maintaince. Guess what! Shimano is still using ball bearings so you need service it every month! Great huh? We love working on our bikes!
-Did you see SRAM AXS? Electric shifting sounds cool but nope.. ...shimano won't help you with 12 speed electronic drivetrain
In summary shimano doesn't care about making something good that isn't 3 years behind SRAM,they just want $$$

For me logical investment steps from Deore up is Deore-XT, XTR I iwll probably never be able to buy, unless I tumble up on it. The SLX step is always like ok I could buy it, but why not wait till I can get XT. And that is what happened...before I take a system upward...I guess. SLX I had on a road bike, and it was all too tidy, all too, fragile feeling, and far too above class, I could resist, but why when I can sell it for more, so I sold it for more, and took XT? It's that simple... And now I am back to Deore on a new bike, and move, will be somewhere up again, but why SLX, I still don't really know why :D But thank you for your viewpoints! It's helped...to realize SLX exists. :D

We can only hope. Imo shimano has always offered better performance to money, and the only thing stopping me from converting all my bikes ever to shimano is that I paid all this money for a good bike and go nx which flogged out in less than the life of 2 chains... but weirdly enough still shifts alright

good that there's an affordable 12 speed groupset that you can shift down and pedal at the same time, without breaking anything or jam gears.

Blake is about to get murdered by a lot of angry Englishmen for making his tea wrong and putting cream before the jam. The jam is more viscus so it goes first as the cream is easier to spread on top. It's harder to spread jam on the cream

I used to rock an xt drive train on my really old hard tail which I got from my parents in 2007 when I was 11 years old. It was a 2006 model year and they payed $800 for it (it was a $1300 bike) it had spent one year as a display bike at the local bike shop and they just dropped it really cheap to get rid of it.
And I did the same in 2011 when I bought my 2010 specialized stumpjumper and I hopped brands to sram x9 rear deralur and x7 levers, which broke and I replaced them with xo shift levers. Still ride that bike cause I don't have the money to upgrade... =)

Xt cassettes are a lot stronger because they are riveted together. I've tacoed two of the SLX while climbing. No I was not shifting at the time. XT just eventually wear out. That's just been my experience.
