Welcome to my channel about cross stitching and sometimes other crafts. I hope you enjoy the video and get some inspiration from what I’ve shared. You, my viewers, give me inspiration through your comments. So thank you very much.
I’m getting ready for retreat, so my mind is going around in circles preparing everything to bring, etc. If I wasn’t clear on anything I may have shared, please feel free to ask about it. I’m more than happy to share if I have an answer.

Lori, you were the very first Flosstube I discovered on TH-cam. You have always been such an inspiration to me. I’ve been stitching since I was about 15 years old in the 80s. In 1994, my sweet sister-in-law of a year and a half died in a plane crash in Pennsylvania, she was a flight attendant. It was two days away from my new baby girl’s christening, and it turned our lives upside down. Such a lovely woman who lost her life so young. I’m telling you this is because you showed your WIP of the Angel of Light by Lavender and Lace. Both my sister-in-law Lynn and I were avid cross stitchers and I got all of her stash after her passing. That was the first thing I stitched in her honor because she is an angel, and it hangs on my wall to this very day. I stitched it almost 30 years ago. And now when I see it every day on my foyer gallery wall, I will think of your sweet granddaughter as well. 🙏

Hi Lori, I am from Illinois the weather is warm today ( Tuesday) the temperature is in the high 80’s but will be in the 90s starting Sunday. It’s summer I love all of your stitching beautiful. I enjoy to hear your family stories and when you talk about your friends with the library. 1, 3🤗

Good video. Love to see all your projects and progress. Here in Perry Township Michigan , it is going to be cooler today than it has been, around 84. It rained since about midnight last night so it is already very humid. Quite miserable. We had our lower 90's last week.Stay cool and hydrated.
It was 109 when I left work. It got to 106 on the way home. It is suppose to be 95 tomorrow. That's the weather in Kansas. Love your projects. Have fun on your retreat.
It’s always great to see what you have been up to. In Maryland it’s 99 (with a heat index of 106) and of course humidity. Hopefully you get in to Stitch by Stitch soon, I love that shop. Happy Stitching!
Winter in the Village is gorgeous, very tempting but I remember Stoney Creek having lots of confetti stitching! Enjoy the retreat!
Hi Cheryl, yes, there is some confetti and outlining in the Stoney Creek patterns, but I enjoy it. I take my time and get thru it. Love the sections that are not confetti heavy! Lol. Happy stitching! 💕

My weather is similar to yours since I live in southeast PA. It is supposed to be 99 today with lots of humidity. Your stitching is so lovely. Some of them are such large charts. 1,2.

Hi Brenda! Lol. And I feel I don't get much accomplished. Today is the first day of retreat. It's 10 in the morning and retreat starts at 3! I went to every one of the NJ retreats and I still get nervous. I'll share in the next video💕

Here in the interior of British Columbia, Canada we have been over 100 degrees for a few weeks and it is getting hotter. The good thing for us is it is very dry. No humidity at all.
Hi Diane, a lot of viewers state they experience very humid conditions along with the heat. Glad you are not affected by the j humidity. Happy stitching💕
I live in Alabama it’s so hot and humid you can cut the air with a knife! No rain in so long. My grass crunches when I walk on it! 1,2

1, 2, 3. In Trenton where the temperature reached 100. The zir quality is what gets to me as it’s been mostly orange. ope Sal’s replacement is a success. you always bring joy to this side of the screen.

Thank you for your video. I feel like you got a lot of stitching in on your WIPS this time. They're lovely! You were smart to do the solid stitching and brickwork on The Library. I am doing that before I even begin the rooms, and it's alot! I left the fun stuff for last! Our weather is a little cooler today. And the rest of the week, because I'm in Chicagoland and we had those 10 tornadoes in the area. Power outages (although I didn't personally thank goodness), trees down and lots of tree branches on my patio. Heavy winds. Tons of rain and lightning. Our village siren went off 4 times! It was scary! Ugh! #1. Take care and happy stitching!

The weather here in the southwest of Indianapolis is on the cooler side. It has been below average during the last two weeks.

Hi from southern Ontario, nestled in the middle of some of the Great Lakes. It's been a pretty warm summer here, and it's always humid from being near the lakes. Temperatures are often in the 80s, feels like 90s. Not what many Americans think of Canadian weather in summer (as we find out when we sometimes winter in Florida). Great stitching as always. 1, 2, 4

Thank you for another great video. Your stitching is just beautiful. Living in Zambia it is our ‘Winter’ but we are not having a particularly cold season which is disappointing. I love the cold! Hope you have a wonderful time at retreat and I look forward to hearing all about it.
Thanks Sue. We are never content. When is winter we complain how cold it is and in the summer how hot. I think it's the humidity that gets to me. I'll share about retreat in the next video. Happy stitching💕

1, 2, 3. The weather in randleman, NC is hot and humid. Temp in the 90'2 and heat index in the 100's.

Beautiful stitching. 1, 2. The weather was in the 90s with terrible humidity and some storms, but today it only got up to 77 and the rest of the week will be the same. It would be cool if we could bottle up this heat and use it in the winter to thaw us out a bit. See you next time.

Awesome progress on your projects. I always wind up buying what you’re stitching. It’s very hot here on the gulf coast of Texas after Hurricane Beryl. We were without power for 5 days in 95 degree heat 🥵 1, 2, 3
Hi Maria, I'm so sorry you were affected by the hurricane. Being without electricity is the worst. It's hard on all people at every age. I hope things are much better now💕

You are such a classy lady and your stitching is gorgeous. Love that fabric on the beach girl. And I love the variety of fabric types you use. I always learn something from you or find a new pattern I've never seen. I live in St. Louis and it's pretty hot and humid. Above 100 all week! I'm headed to Toronto so that will be a little reprieve. I'm a summer girl so the heat doesn't bother me though. But I'm not trying to be out in it either. I just don't complain. I'll take this over cold any day! Blessings to you.

Hello, I’m from central Ohio and it is HOT and dry. Heat index over 100 for way too many days with high humidity. We’ve had very little rain and I’ve had to water twice a day lately. Still better than 0 windchills in the winter. 1, 2, 3

Angel of Light is looking Great! My sewing machine is like 35 yrs old!, the manual is under it in the case. It's been the low 100's here (AZ), humidity climbs in July & Aug. and we get our Summer rain usually in the late afternoon or evening. I've heard back East it's been very hot & humid, ugh! Enjoy the Retreat, maybe you'll hear your number on the raffle. :)

1, 3. I have an older singer. The tension went out on it as well. I was able to adjust it through, and that fixed it. But then later, I had a spring break in the wheel, so now the wheel spins, but the needle doesn't move. I have another machine, so I haven't sent it out for repair yet.

I enjoyed watching what you've been up to. I live in the SW desert where temps in the Summer are about 110°. This Summer we are having cooler days of only about 95-98°. Usually no rain, but we are expecting rain from Wednesday through Sunday. Tpsy-turvy weather gor dure. I'm cutting out a quilt today while watching TH-cam videos. Lori, I ordered American Welcome from Heartland Quilting and Stitching on Etsy. Cornhuskers State Stitchers on TH-cam. They had an awesome sale a few days around July 4th. I did purchase the substitute floss listed in the pattern and not the colour and cotton from my local needlework shop here in Indiana.
I really want to start it now but I have many many other projects in the works and as I mentioned I still work full time as a nurse so I am going to “ restrain “ my self and start it in 2025 when YOU start!!! 😀 You and I can have our own SAL. 🤣💕

Hi Kat, I went thru all my notes. I stitched Marquis in 2018 before I kept records of my fabric. It's an Aida but the color i'm not sure. The cream and ivory are too dark and the white is too white. Off white maybe. I'll show it closer in the next video. Hope that will help. 💕

Hi Theresa, for the green I used DMC 3818 and for the Red I don't remember. I didn't write it down.. I did use a bright Christmas red that's about the best I can do. Happy stitching! 💕
