Did you need to buy new spark plus to prevent preignition? Higher flow injectors? Synthetic hoses for the new higher alcohol gas? Higher flow fuel pump? Been reading a lot and trying to do it right so I don't run into problems down the road
@Sals_Garage well im asking because other major publ8cations like motortrend, when they bought a flex fuel kit they made all those changes. And my understanding is the high ethanol will wear out some of the stock hoses. The engine needs a lot more ethanol than gas to create power so the pump needs more pumping... the injectors need to inject more... all your stock parts just magically did all that? Or is this only important if you're going E85?
the specific e30 map will push more power/boost since its fuel specific compared to the multimap where boost is turned down. if you arent running a custom tune flex fuel map then you're losing out on a lot of power

If you leave the flash on the multi map it will auto adjust based on your ethanol content. No need to flash to the e30 map

@@kimithar8207 It's one of the flashes you can purchase with bootmod3. It works with the bm3 flex fuel kit. Either "multiple map stage 1 or stage 2"
Was curious if the multimap flash only good up to E30? Would you benefit at all with say, e40, e50...?

None of that was necessary. Flex fuel adjusts accordingly.

@@Fa11en34 it’s only important if you’re going e85 without a flex fuel module that adjusts injector pulse rate.
why you need to put E30 map ? you can use the multi map with the same results.

don't install your line like that through the grommet. it could get cut over time from vibration, cut a slit and route it in away from the metal lip

Not necessary, but useful for getting the ethanol content accurate.

Yes, make sure the ethanol is there first. Revert back to stock when you fill 91.
