    We roll the same way read/follow directions, taking time. You got way better luck then me as flashing/testing anything first time would be getting a woman stop in, 15 phone calls, texts, emails, etc, neighborhood kids being loud, or ask what doing. If you notice us BMW drivers dont just push start and enjoy the drive experience, we constantly eyeing the gauges, with some anxiety, waiting for a check engine, or something to go haywire costing some $, its a slightly toxic relationship where when car runs good, and drives good first time "as it should" we get excited like its to be celebrated. 🎉😁. Love the videos, you always calm, and smiling, you ever swearing at the car, scraped up hands, thinking I'm done. 🙏😊

    You should always flash the tune before fueling up with a certain mix for a specific tune. Just in case you can’t get it to flash.

    You can also just mix an arbitrary known proportion of both 91 (or 93) and E85 in the same tube, and do basic math to find the correct ratio between Pump fuel and E85

      When I go to fill again I use the same calculator but I just adjust the fuel level percentage to the current level at that time and then it tells you how much to add of E85 and the 91 or 93

    Why don't E85 pumps just have a digital readout with the %ethanol ? Or better yet, just premixed at E25 or E30. Or even better, if the car be automatically read the content ethanol in your tank, and calculate how much more E85 you need to pump.

    • @InlineSixAuto
      @InlineSixAuto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From what I've seen you get around 430-440whp with a better overall power curve since the HPFP isn't struggling to keep up. My data logs showed that my stock HPFP was not really keeping up and was close to crashing whenever I did WOT on E30.

    what if you drive with the E30 map when you do not have the E85 mixture in the tank?

    • @InlineSixAuto
      @InlineSixAuto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The car will run normally I assume, it just may not run efficiently since it’s tuned for E30 mixture. I would think it’s only bad if you’re doing WOT on the E30 map with no E85 than it might be a problem. But if you’re just driving causally it’ll be normal.

  • @user-jd3ss3yw6o
    @user-jd3ss3yw6o 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    so do you always now have to put in 4.9gals of e85 every time you fill up? My question is that since now you have the exact numbers to fill up on e30, you would always put 4.9g of e85 in your car right?

    • @InlineSixAuto
      @InlineSixAuto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I dont always fill up with exactly the same amount left in the tank. It just fluctuates depending on my tank level at the time I fill up. I just use my calculator and adjust the 'current fuel level' and it'll calculate how much I need to put in

    • @user-jd3ss3yw6o
      @user-jd3ss3yw6o 2 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @SuperSailorboi
    @SuperSailorboi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not to ask a dumb question lol but is there like a plus or minus rule to this? Or should it be tested every time due to each gas station possibly being different? I just used this method and the same app but I gave each a minus 2 so I potentially wouldn’t go over E30. I do have the BM3 stage 2 E30 with the OEM HPFP.

    • @InlineSixAuto
      @InlineSixAuto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ideally you should test the E85 once a month. Im not 100% sure about this but from what I’ve seen, it’s actually better to have more E85 then less. Because with the Stage 2 E30 map, the engine is now expecting a certain amount of something from the combustion of each cylinder, If you have less than what it’s expecting (less than E30) then the engine doesn’t run as efficiently as it could be loosing out on power. However if you do. If you use too much E85, and the mixture is higher then E30 you could crash the HPFP as mentioned if you’re always doing WOT. It’s kind of a trade off. I did some new data logs recently and it shows my HPFP has gotten worse in terms of keeping up the target psi.

    • @SuperSailorboi
      @SuperSailorboi 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@InlineSixAuto thanks bro! I just ordered a testing kit. I used the “horsepower gauge” in my Xdrive system to see what its putting out when I was on 93 stage 2 it would hit like 440-450ish and stop. I did the E30 blend and it hit past 480 into 500 and maxes out lol. Idk if that’s a legit or best way to read that. I can’t find it on BM3 how to measure ponies. My HPFP is still running the same though. I did shorten the Plug gaps to .022.

    • @InlineSixAuto
      @InlineSixAuto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SuperSailorboi I don't think that gauge is that accurate lol. Best way to get accurate HP numbers is to take it to an actual dyno. you should be at around 420-430hp at the crank and then 400hp at the wheels if you have the N55 EWG which is what I have, with these same mods. From what I've seen the numbers are pretty consistent across most other people's experiences with these same exact mods on their N55 EWG. The next thing to do would be to upgrade to a stage 1 HPFP so you could run the Stage 2+ E30 map. Still deciding if I should do that myself

    I have nothing but issues in 3rd ,4th, and 5th gear with BM3 OTS30 map and 91 octane. I tried multiple blend % and I still get timing issues. 1st and 2nd are perfect. New coils, and new plugs. How do your timing logs look in 3rd - 5th gears?

    • @InlineSixAuto
      @InlineSixAuto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My timing is near perfect with the E30 OTS map. I had bunch of timing issues when I just using the Stage 2 91 OTS map though. The E30 blend seemed to have fixed my timing issues on my engine. Honestly not sure why youre still having issues. Timing issues is usually caused by low fuel quality from what I've seen so that's why I would think the E30 would help.

    • @InlineSixAuto
      @InlineSixAuto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s definitely a fun car to build but from what I’ve heard from people who have E90 M3s, the M3 is more driver experienced oriented. It’s a much more fun car to drive. And I would say so because the F30 feels more like a car for the average commuter and more for comfort, not so much for a car enthusiast or someone who enjoys driving. Even my E90 328i feels a bit more engaging than my F30 even though it much faster lol.

    So you didn’t need any kind of mods to run the e85 just the tune itself ? I’ve seen kits to run e85 on the f30 but wasn’t sure if it was required .
    I have a N20 328i by the way

    • @InlineSixAuto
      @InlineSixAuto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well yess and no. You don’t need any mods to put E85 in your car. The car will still run. However, if you don’t tune the car to account for the E85, the car doesn’t utilize the E85 because it’s tuned for regular 91 or 93 has so you won’t be getting the additional power out of it. And for pretty much all tunes, you would need a Downpipe at least to run the tune. For Bootmod3, the Stage 2 E30 map, it requires a Downpipe at the least. However it is recommended to upgrade the intercooler and the charge pipe because you’ll be pushing higher boost and the stock chargepipe most likely will burst since it’s plastic.
