      Haha thanks mate. The addition of a cpl filter to your set up might help significantly too.

    banging idea, wish i had of done this when i was living in London, as you can go to the top of some buildings for free, but...you are surrounded by glass to keep you safe and this would of been fantastic. must remember to pick one up then next time i take the dog to the pet shop.

      That would have been so good! We have the same challenge here on the Gold Coast, which is where this device helps a lot. It's also super helpful when you're taking photos at a zoo. Thanks heaps PAul.

    Just ordered my first collapsible dog bowl! I do some wildlife photography out of my car when I have the occasion. The obvious issue being that I need to lower at least one window to take the pictures. With this I might actually be able to shoot the animals through the closed window. I'll only have to do a simple color adjustment in post afterwards. Curious to try this!

      Woohoo!! Make sure you start with a smaller hole. It’s easier to get bigger, not so easy to get smaller 🤣

    Great stuff !! Love it. The ones for sale on online retailers seem shite and expensive. This is the answer. Thanks !

    Not from Nikon, but I would say NIGH-Kon, because if it was Nickon, I would think it’d be spelled as above, with a ‘c’. 😁

    You can use a compass to help make a more circular hole with the xacto knife.

      Thanks mate!!! You could probably find a slightly smaller bowl for a mobile solution 👍

    When would you need to shoot through glass?

      Thanks for the tip. I regularly visit museums, most exhibits are behind glass, and I've found your tips invaluable.

    Did you say Lenore?! That’s my middle name! I was named after Edgar Allen Poe’s the Raven; was she? Very cool!

    Can you get by with the 5" diameter dish or does it have to be the 7" dish?

    • @RalphMayhewPhotography
      @RalphMayhewPhotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use any size dish that works for your lens and the space you're shooting.

      Thanks mate. 👍 hit me up with a link to one. My previous research has discovered less than adequate options for a lot of money.
