- After a lot of request from viewers, part 2 of the Pokemon conspiracy iceberg is here! Pokemon is a franchise spanning decades, and it surprisingly has the implication of a rich lore (even if it isn't really elaborated on in the games). With such an imaginative world that is beloved by many, numerous conspiracy theories about the franchise have popped up. Today, we are going to be looking at various Pokemon theories, spanning from the games, anime, manga, and other mediums.

Knowing about Shudo's tragic relationship with writing the Pokemon anime series and Lugia as well as the fact that he wrote Minky Momo (which has a similiarly infamous reputation) is... interesting...
What did he do with lugia? Also whats minky momo?
@@dunnkids7263 He created Lugia while going through an extremely tough and depressing time which was heavily fueled by substance and alcohol abuse while simultaneously writing for the early Pokemon anime seasons. While going throught serious bouts of depression, he saw Lugia as his child and a motivating factor to continue. However, he was often creatively restricted by the producers in how he could not only write the show, but Lugia itself, further upsetting him and causing him to spiral further. Unfortunately, he he never completed his most contemporary season due to his death as a result of his his tragic situation. DidYouKnowGaming did a really good video on him and the creation of Lugia.
Minky Momo is an old magical girl anime from the early 80's which later grew to have an infamous reputation as the anime abruptly ends with Momo (the main character) getting hit by a truck and presumably dying. That finale and sequel finale also aired during Japan's Great Hanshin Earthquake of 1995 and another earthquake. Such coinciding events led to the phenomenon being called the "Curse of Minky Momo."
there was a Volcanion distribution event outside of Japan, at least in the United States. i distinctly remember going to a Gamestop back during XY's lifespan and getting a Volcanion code and the employee there handing me 2 on accident and telling me to just keep the second one, which i gave to my friend. i still have that Volcanion and even that code card to this day

After hearing this Slowpoke theory, I now feel it should be the ADHD Pokémon- constantly zoned out, knows a lot of things but can’t communicate or recall them to be of use until they get their meds- being the Shellder toxin.
I hate that we have reduced ADHD down to " have ADHD. Therefore, can't communicate, and I'm mentally slow, but I know alot. That I can't recall, but I swear I know"

A lot of people like to mix up ADD and ADHD.
Although, we do live in the day and age of sel diagnosis so it's only natural that people would misdiagnose themselves.
Either that or these very narrow boxes that we like to define people by have become so small that if you have "insert diagnosis" then you have to be just like another person with the same diagnosis instead of realising that we are still individuals.

I disagree on the kabutops=genesect theory. Several dex entries clarify Team Plasma modified the cannon on its back rather than completely overhauling the Pokémon. The entry also implies Genesect already had a cannon on its back, which would explain why it'd have been an apex predator back then if it had a more advanced hunting adaptation than its contemporary predators like kabutops whod be using physical traits like claws and teeth to hunt. Plus there's no typing overlap at all.
Looking at genesect the cannon comes out of its shell which lines up with the shape of its head. It looks like originally they were supposed to fit together and likely the shell would hide the cannon until it was being used making it a a possible ambush predator but the Team Plasma mod keeps it permanently out as the muzzle of the cannon is a different color than the shell and extends over the head.
I dont see an issue with a flareon dying in the fire. You drink water but if you fell into a huge body of water eventually you would drown. Im sure even a creature with the ability to absorb the power of fire has its limits in lore and not in game mechanics.
The "women's secret" trainer is from Emerald at the very least. I remember laughing at it as a kid

@@matthewmusco2581 it's possible, but I never played enough of either of those games to get to the water routes. I'm going to double check later but I'm 99% sure she's on the left side of the screen on route 105 in Emerald. Maybe Ruby and Sapphire too but I didn't play those
The Victini theory somehow reminds of how at the time of its reveal a school friend told me about an Victini leak that contained references to the 3rd Reich.
I like to imagine the reason Mega descriptions are so negative in Sun and Moon is because it's the first time a Rotom had control of a Dex.
It being part ghost and in general mischievous, influenced the entries.

58:00 the Pokemon not in Pokeballs thing... the games and anime both have the idea of "friend" pokemon, IE pokemon that aren't summoned into battle via balls, but rather just hang out in your house or whatever. This seems to be the same but on larger scale. People live with pokemon, but don't use the Capsule corp system since they're not League trainers.
Mewtwo can also memory wipe so it technically doesn't break cannon cause if you don't remember you don't know

A reminder that regions are not the same as countries, as the many Japanese regions are probably in the same country, it’s possible that Kalos’ war was fought with a different region within the “France” country

why every time people didn't see zekrom he was draining pikachu electricity yes pikachu can make more but come on your going up against a legendary electric dragon and it's draining you of course it's going to lose against snivy remember the joltik draining pikachu electricity why does no body pay attention the to the scene it's like zekrom is invisible yes pikschu is high level but going against a legendary dragon that can drain your power.
There's also a time gear that you see yourselfl in the bonus episode where you play as Lopunny, a ditto is guarding it so yeah there's really more than 5.

This was debunked, shudo never said that in the animation book or anywhere else. It was just a claim in twitter that was made up.
The answer to Pikachu level reset is that the anime doesn't have levels. Pokemon randomly evolve all the time mid fight in the anime. It's purely a game mechanic. It's also good writing to have your characters over cone challenges. Pikachu one shooting everyone with thunderbolt isn't fun for anyone
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Pokémon levels were directly referenced multiple times in the anime.
@@kyriakou8098 I think at least once. Season 1 where they go to the pokemon school I think they mention the level of when pidgey evolves.
@@assault410 I found a bulbapedia article on the topic. Apparently levels are a thing in the anime, we just don't receive many details on whether they function differently than levels in the games.

Well, one of the theories I heard going around was that Ivy didn't want an actual romantic relationship with Brock, instead she wanted him to knock her up so she could have kids, but had no interest in him as an actual romantic partner. This fan theory was based on very scant clues, but does have what I think to be workable logic to it.
1: we know that the anime isn't gonna come out as SAY what it was if it's related to a failed romance.
2: it's not as simple as "she said no"... there got to be weird extenuating circumstances.
3: Brock was apparently living with her for a while.
4: Brock's behavior tells us it was emotionally traumatic.... but there's no indication of why Brock found it so traumatic. Which fits with the idea they self-censored to not talk about sex.
But what would be so traumatic that Brock didn't want to talk, while also not being serious enough for legal actions? Yeah that's a fun quandry.
