Very nice, good job! the dilemma is always to adjust the cursor between respecting the players 'circulation plan and giving free rein to the players' imagination (especially among young players to train them at best)
I am in the process of trying/running a 1 2 2 2 1 (9, 10 ) really dictate this exercise...Eddie jones use to run it in Japan..which is really for quick ball attack inside the oppositions half, run kick pass opinions how would you see that played out...thanks
Hi Michael, I would use the the 2's in the middle of the field with a back behind as a Blocker option. Are you familiar with that? You should be able to generate quick ball. Attack direct and flat with your forwards off 9 & 10 with an out the back option behind, then you will keep the momentum in your favor. I'm also a fan of a sequence move, like 2-1 (meaning you will attack twice in the same direction, then come back to the weak side once) Where 9 or 10 will make the call while in the 15 meter channel and the entire team knows what's going to happen. This is also very useful off of Set Piece!
