I always thought that the tiny house revolution was so people of lower income could afford to live in a home! But all of the companies out there are coming out with tiny houses that cost as much as a regular sized home! Making it impossible for older people be able to afford!!🤨
@@psycherevival2762 I just viewed tiny homes in Idaho with land and adorable for 125K so it depends on where you live. Of course no in Southern California. I love that the living room, bathroom and bedroom were the focus on this one. So many times I feel like you live in a kitchen when you’re in these tiny homes and I don’t want to live in a kitchen. For me, this is the perfect size and layout, it feels like a home and the kitchen is everything I need it to be but not the focus of the home. I love that they keep refining their designs too, as they get feedback or see how things could work better or differently. A pantry in this is going to be amazing. Can’t wait to see that updated design.
I can say with absolute conviction the ITH's and the Amish homes are absolutely the most beautiful tiny homes I have ever seen. If I was to buy one the only problem I see is which one? I love them all and if I could I'd buy one of each.
Have you been inside ? Or been inside other builders TinyHomes I’m just curious because that’s what I tell everyone but I’ve never been there in person🤣
I have this model and I absolutely love living in the house. I love the architectural features, layout and indirect lighting as Randy mentioned. It is a comfortable forever home💜
The Birmingham is so big and beautiful. I love all of the windows, the flooring, the combination of natural wood and painted wood, the beautiful front door, and the gorgeous exterior. The kitchen is perfect size for tiny house living. The change you made to add the pantry closet will be awesome. I love the open ceiling in the bathroom and all the natural light pouring into this fabulous tiny home. Beautiful workmanship. Ace was really talking to y'all. I just love him. ❤️
@@arusso961 I also think they implied that it's strong enough that you could sleep on it like when your grandkids or something were there visiting that would definitely work for me but I think it would be cold by that window. But I would love to sit there with my puppy and read a good book or just enjoy the view
Totally agree. That is the only thing I like about many other tiny home builders...the space is fully utilized, even stairs are hinged doors on top and you can put shoes or whatever in there. The window seat would make perfect storage for extra bedding, etc...
This is my favorite tiny home layout I've seen yet!! I think you utilized every inch, BUT I think the stairs should be made for open or pullout storage as well! Fantastic job you guys!!!
This is a beautifully staged home. You mentioned the full sized refrigerator sticking out. I agree. That wouldn’t be good. I have a Charleston and I have a taller full sized refrigerator. It doesn’t stick out because it’s a counter depth. It works really well.
I love the bed in the bedroom. Also, I love the loft area. I like the fact that there are no cupboards in the kitchen. I love the floating shelves, and all you really need is just enough dishes and silverware for how many people are living there. That way you don't have to be cleaning a lot of dishes.
You still clean just as many dishes, just fewer but more often. You could do that anyway if you wanted to; nobody says that you have to save up all of your dirty dishes to wash at once.
Tiny homes really need to considered by local governments to address the homeless issue that is just growing leaps and bounds across this country. As someone with mobility issues and 10 years out from retirement, a tiny home is a solution to being able to care for my home in retirement and fixed income living.
the sad part is; some peoples fixed income is so small that they can't even afford the $15,000.00 RJO that was offered last year. They can afford the lot rent but not the cost of the home along with it.
Agreed! And the domestic violence issue so women and children can escape and have a safe, and soundly, built home to recover and get back on their feet, in.
Hey Manders and Randy!😊 Beautiful home, great quality work and love the way it’s staged with the furniture and all. Awesome job! Blessings to you all!😘🙏❤️💖
I would prefer a bedroom pocket door so a floor to ceiling closet/storage could be built in the corner of the bedroom (2 poles). I would also use a lg dresser and mirror in place of the desk/table. Very pretty! ❤
This is absolutely beautiful. I have one complaint and suggestions for most tiny homes is why do you put the bathroom door right in the kitchen. Please answer me.
What size is that shower??? For most people who live in tiny houses, our gym class locker room shower days are over! If it's less than 36", it's not usable. Get rid of the little bathroom closet. You don't want to store coats and hanging clothes near steam anyway: mildew! Turn it into a pantry facing the kitchen and put in a real shower.
Nice design!! I would place the bed a bit closer to the wall on the door side so I can put a good size 3 drawer dresser and then put a closet where the desk is now...but of course it's done how the owner likes it... just throwing in some ideas 😊
Excellent video! The bedroom looks stunning! The Birmingham is a winner for sure. Other than wanting to leave the bathroom ceiling as is, I wouldn't change a thing. I've been watching you guys for a couple of years now and I'm planning to buy either a Birmingham or Charleston within the next year or two. Just thought I'd say too, that Amanda is very good with the camera! Especially when viewing the homes, she shows everything you want to see, and not in a herky jerky manner. The camera flows smoothly and focuses on what it should, when it should. I'm no camera expert, but I'd say that Amanda definitely has a talent for filming these homes. (p.s. If you could just get the 360* viewing option back to the website, I'd be forever grateful! Sorry, gotta keep asking. ;-) )
I just watched Ace run for miles on another video on the mountain. That boy needs to get some doggie running shoes or boots running on all that gravel. I guess I might be addicted to this channel. I have one on my computer, and one on my kitchen t.v.! Just watching the work on the mountain while I check out this home.
beautiful tiny home, I love the look and the layout. Amanda thanks for taking the camera away from Randy he was moving it so much it was getting me nauseous😁
It's gorgeous! I would add a foldable counter top on the side somewhere in the kitchen or maybe a drawer type of thing to have a little more prep space, but it's really great as is! bravo =)
Love it❤❤❤ my favorite so far. The bathroom does look big That bedroom is gorgeous ❤❤ i Love the loft. I want to see the Amanda now❤❤i hope it wint be too much longer for ne to be seeing yall❤
That is the biggest ti y home bedroom I have seen, and good point, these dinky homes are getting to be as hight as a full size home, and then you have to pay lot rent if you don't own your own land.
This is lovely. I would like to know if that bow/bay window can lift to have storage? Would you put a fold up counter on the end for extra counter space? Pocket door into the bedroom?
I would like another door in the bedroom instead of four windows. Mostly in case of fire because I can’t climb out a window. Stair storage would be good idea since they are already steep. I’d also remove the window in the alcove and put my tv there.
I live the Birmingham but I'm very excited for the 12 by 40 Amanda. As a power wheelchair user, the extra width will be great. Downstairs bedroom essential and a bigger bathroom and shower.
For me: it needs closet in bedroom and chest of drawers or a combo of both. Too much unused floor space. Bathroom needs a big (wide and high) medicine cabinet, not just a mirror. Towel storage? Did I miss seeing a laundry? stackable would be great. Needs an area/room divider/closet/cubbies at the front door for coats and boots and shoes. Kitchen definitely requires above the counter cupboards - they don't have to be so deep that they stick out in one's face. This is perfect for a BnB, but not so much for someone who has hobbies and crafts to live in. Lovely decor and light.
The "Birmingham!" is a great design! I love the width and main floor living! I would switch the bedroom door for a slider so that you could have a broom/footwear closet, etc. I think this is a super unit and the price reflects that!😊. Cheers, your Canadian cousins! Sandy&Andy
If I lived in America this is the model I would buy tolk-vertaler in the forest😂😂 Only thing change is bathroom. I would want a walk through bathroom between kitchen and bedroom. Sliding doors. Then the stairs by front door to make another counter, kitchen have more counter space and pantry under stairs and toilet under stairs. But I love this model. The wood and paint work is stunning..like Amanda says… It is beautiful all over. Great job
The best rooms in this model are the bedroom and the bathroom, the most spacious layout in those rooms of any model. But the kitchen is barely useable with no storage for dishes or food. I would be fine with a smaller fridge, but I prefer upper cabinets and a pantry. And the living room is just not big enough and difficult to place full-size furniture with a tv cabinet. It looks very cramped in this video. I know there is a huge loft, which I would never use except for storage bins, but daily storage and closets on the main living floor are seriously lacking.
I understand what you’re saying but you can only get so much in under 400sq. A tiny home might not work for you. This model has one of the biggest living rooms I have seen. 😊
The Living Room in the Charleston seems to feel larger. The video with the couple from Michigan... Charleston. But I really love Martha's Container Home! Large kitchen, bath and nice bedroom. I'm looking forward to the Amanda to come out!
The living room in the Charleston is larger at 10’10” long vs 9’9” long in the Birmingham. They are both the same width. Even a foot more length makes a difference in small spaces.
You could always add open shelving. If you live tiny, you only have what you need. So you'd probably only have service for 2 to & declutter until you can fit in a tiny.
Of all the ones I’ve seen you do I like this one the best the only thing I can say that is missing is a washer and dryer the stackable kind and if you did have children that you had a safety railing so that they wouldn’t fall from their bedroom down the stairs. One floor Living is much better.
I havent found a suitable kitchen in any of theses homes. Mine will have to be a custome one. Just have to find who will take on the project. I wish Zach and john were still building. But i wouldnt want it a 7 day rush job. They could take a month or more to do it right. I plan on a 60 x 10. Having a hard time finding a long enough trailer as it'll need to be a heavy equipment trailer. Still working on the inside amenities.
Would it be possible to remove the loft and have a wall go to high ceiling with fan and overhead light. Then remove stairs and turn 1/3 into pantry opening door across form washer/dry and then the rest of stair area into a closet? I am returning and don't want any loft what so ever and would appreciate the more open area in bedroom and having a ceiling fan. I don't let guests stay with me and I never stay with anyone when I visit. this way, windows high in bedroom can be fixed and don't have to open.
Oh wow i love amish craftsmanship!! Come to canada we desperately need tiny home communities!! The prices of homes are insane! Our 2000 sq ft home is 600k cad and we will sell it when we retire and buy a tiny home probably move to the US.
Question - could you extend the countertop a bit and utilize a combo washer /dryer instead of a stackable ? Otherwise the lack of countertop will get old real fast!😊
